    Suckling pig sandwich
    Tim Y.

I walked by Il Fornaio while walking to work and could not resist popping in for a flat white and sandwich. All their sandwiches sounded great but the suckling pig caught my eye with the arugula and pork. The sandwich was wrapped up nicely for me to consume once I got to the office and the coffee kept me caffeinated the rest of my walk. The first bite was heaven! It instantly made my too 10 list of best sandwiches. I was hoping to save half for lunch but it was too hard to resist. I will definitely be back then next time I'm in Ireland!!

My husband and I bought pastry here once. It was fantastic. We had carrot cake; black walnut cake , and a nut roll with creamy chocolate filling. We got these items as take out and ate our dessert at our hotel. We tried to buy more pastry from them, but were not successful. We returned on a Sunday and they were closed; another time we visited after 5:00 pm and they were closed. The shop served the best desserts we had during our three week vacation in Dublin. I do not know what other kinds of food they sell, because I was interested only in dessert. This is a tiny shop with no seating. What they sell might be Italian.

Excellent pastries!! Passed by this cute little shop on my way to the bus stop one day and was interested because it had the same name as a wonderful Italian restaurant in the States. What caught my eye was the delicious looking pastries lining a few rows of shelves showcased through their clear store window storefront. So the next time I passed by, I decided to go in and picked up a pistachio ricotta cannoli and a fruit tart. Both we priced at about €4. I had the pistachio cannoli the same night with a cup of milk and it was amazing. The filling was creamy and I was worried of a strong ricotta flavor but it had the perfect balance of flavor between pistachio and ricotta. The pistachio flavor also tasted really fresh and not artificial like a lot of pistachio flavored desserts taste. I ate the fruit tart a few days later and was worried it would no longer be fresh but it still tasted amazing. The crust was perfectly crumbly and the custard was smooth and delectable. I would definitely come here again to try more of their pastries!

    Very cozy, homey little space.

Without a doubt the best coffee I've found in Dublin. Run by actual Italian staff, with actual Italian coffee, and comes on the recommendation of Italians living in Dublin. Can't go without saying it's also a gorgeous and cozy little space to sit in. It would be very easy to sit in for hours with a friend or a book.

Pros: Great view of the square House wine was good Pasta was good Cafe feel Cons: Small tables Cramped when busy Meat was slightly dry Slow service Quaint little Italian restaurant hidden in the mayor square. It was a bit hard to find at first but the staff was friendly and helpful when I called. The menu has a decent range of food so the should be something there for most. It has a cafe decorum so don't expect any privacy during peak hours. I had the deer special (deer with noodles and mushroom wine sauce). My companion had the pork. The sauce was good and the pasta was cooked perfect but the meats on both dishes were a little dry. The pork was lacking on seasoning. The pork came with a balsamic dressing that was very good. Overall a good place to get a bite or a casual date. Avoid if you're looking to be blown away or intimacy.

We had some fresh pasta during Saint Patrick's Day: amazing service and great idea. Creaming the cooked pasta with the sauce in a wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano standed out the overall taste.

It's a good thing their sweet treats are displayed in the window and not inside the shop cause looking at everything, I picked about 8 different things I wanted to try but by the time I got to order, I'd forgotten about half of them so the damage to my waistline (and wallet) wasn't so bad. Apart from the best Cannolli I've tried in Dublin and other Italian sweets, they do Italian inspired sandwiches and different kinds of coffee. The staff is very friendly and helpful, too bad they don't have a sit down area.

Chocolate meringue tart seemed like it was made last week

Came here for some take away. When we got home the meringue on my chocolate meringue tart was dry and crumbly and the crust was rock hard. Also purchased a mini chocolate puff pastry that was dry as well. Spend your money at one of the many other pastry shops around.

Cannoli. A Sicilian speciality. Sweet but delish.

We ordered two glasses of Barbera wine as our cocktail, followed by calamari, pappardelle al funghi and ravioli Asiago. The wine was perfect and complimented our meal. Our server Massimo brought out some bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to start our meal. The calamari was amongst the best I've ever had, the breading was light and crispy. Both our pasta dishes were divine and authentic. At the end of our meal we had some espresso and were given complementary limoncello shots. Il Vicoletto was amongst the best restaurants we visited during our trip to Dublin. I highly recommend for anyone looking to eat great Italian food.

This place shocked me!…read more I found San Lorenzo's via Yelp, so thank you Yelpers! It is one of the few places in Dublin that takes American Express cards. So you can leave home without it when you come here When we asked if they had a table they said only if you are up from the table in an hour. We were hungry so we agreed The environment is dark and tasteful and lively The wine list is not good, but the food and the staff make up for everything The avocado and caprese salad was awesome The shrimp in wine sauce was off the charts delicious The chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto was delicious and the polenta and creamed corn were spectacular The monk fish wrapped in crispy pancetta on a bed of pesto basil was amazing To top it off we had the Nutella cheesecake with Carmel sauce and gelato with biscotti crumbs on top- this was surreal!!! All this and we were done with all the food, a bottle of wine and cappuccinos in an hour and never felt rushed If you are in the mood for Italian food, come to San Lorenzo's

Things I liked about Sprezzatura: - whatever you're in the mood for (marinara, carbonara, bolognese...), it's probably on the menu that night - the sauces are rich/heavy. I like, but maybe not everyone will. - generous portions - super friendly service Things I wasn't crazy about: - the finish on the table left a stickiness that was annoying as we sat through our meal - the kitchen door kept slamming shut (loudly) with every staff pass-through and needs some sort of better hinge or soft close mechanism - each pasta dish was a bit overrun with sauce. I might have soaked it up with some bread, but the amount was unnecessary for the pasta alone. We ordered three pastas dishes. I actually liked the one I didn't order the most - an amatriciana-like red sauce with a little spice. My wife enjoyed the Fettucini, Nduja and Mascarpone. The Mafaldine Cashel Blue (cheese) and Roasted Walnuts, which also had caramelized onions in it, was actually not as sweet as I expected (or wanted) it to be. What we did agree on, though, was how delicious the arancini was (we went with spicy sausage). I would lead with that...but don't get carried away. The wine choices were limited, but solid. And the price was very reasonable. I'd go back again (if I actually lived in Ireland!), mostly when I have a fix for a certain flavor. There was a lot of delivery business taking place during our visit. I suspect these sauces don't travel well (no firsthand experience with that), so dine in seems like the better call to me.
