    Delicious Tiramisu!

The owner is delightful, friendly and inviting. I had a delicious chicken pasta with a garlic cream sauce that was worth another trip. The tiramisu was probably the best I've ever had; rich yet light and creamy. We met the nicest gentlemen while dining who gave us pointers on places to go while in Dublin. We are going again before we leave for home.

Fantastic food! The best carbonara I ever had in Ireland. It brought my memory back to my holiday in Rome from years ago. The prawn linguine was also delicious. Definitely recommand anyone who loves Italian food to try out this place.

Had been looking for a good Italian place while in Ireland for some time with no luck, everywhere that advertised Italian food did pizza and kebabs. When we finally found this place, so glad we did!! We had the fettuccini ragu, the pesto pasta, calamari frittas and the tiramisu. Everything was AMAZING! Perfectly cooked and great flavor, only downside was finding it so late in my trip! Will definitely have to comeback when I visit Ireland again!

I tried two different pastas that were recommended as the most popular dishes by servers here but was not exactly impressed by either. The first was the pesto linguini while the other was a rigatoni dish with some sort of red sauce. I have to comment Dall' Italiano on their pastas because they were cooked to perfection-- wonderfully al dente--something you can't find easily in the states. However, the flavors were lackluster. The pesto linguini had very little pesto in it and a few springs of basil, yet was drenched in oil. It literally tasted like linguini in oil which was not enjoyable to me at all. I wish there was a bit more pesto or even some cheese for flavoring but it was plain and bland. The rigatoni had a bit more flavor but there was an alcohol flavor that was coming through way more than the tomato flavoring in the red sauce came through. Similarly, the rigatoni had just a few pieces of sausage meat and a few sprigs of greens, consisting of mostly pasta in a red sauce. I would not recommend Dall' because the pasta flavors of two of the supposed most popular pasta dishes were quite bland and boring-- making for a less than satisfying meal.

This quaint little spot has great service with a smile, wonderful presentation, a relaxing ambiance and good food. A hidden little gem just outside of Dublin near the Botanical Gardens.

This place is never too busy, it's a hidden gem. Went for casual dinner with my wife and I had Tagliatelli al Ragu which was perfectly done, my wife really enjoyed the Gamberi with Penne and a glass of house red and white each. This is a real Italian trattoria, the best kept secret in Dublin 9! I got a takeaway from here and it was really nice, I had a pasta dish. It was fresh and not too much salt etc. Definitely will go for sit down meals in future and will be a regular takeaway option too.

We ordered two glasses of Barbera wine as our cocktail, followed by calamari, pappardelle al funghi and ravioli Asiago. The wine was perfect and complimented our meal. Our server Massimo brought out some bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to start our meal. The calamari was amongst the best I've ever had, the breading was light and crispy. Both our pasta dishes were divine and authentic. At the end of our meal we had some espresso and were given complementary limoncello shots. Il Vicoletto was amongst the best restaurants we visited during our trip to Dublin. I highly recommend for anyone looking to eat great Italian food.

"But why, Brian, is it not," you ask? Many of you may know that my wife uses a wheelchair, so that is usually first on my mind when visiting any establishment. We check to see if it says its accessible. And Wood Fire said it was! Yay! Except, well, sort of yes, sort of no. We were able to get in the door. The first door, to the outside covered seating area. No chance of getting in the second door into the building proper, because that had stairs. But that was ok. It was a nice night out and we were happy to sit in the covered outside area. But is a place really accessible if the toilets are not? Not only would the stairs have been an issue, but there's no way her wheelchair could have navigated through the restaurant to the back, and once there, forget it. Way too small and narrow for a chair to get in there. So yeah, great food, nice people, we had a good time. But I'm not sure "accessible" is accurate.

And it was. Did a little research and found this gem a block and a half from our hotel. Called an ordered a 4 frommagi "mini calzone" and was told they didn't have that on the menu any longer, so I asked why they did have for calzones and he said "we have one with mozzarella, Parmesan, scarmorza and salami". I said "could I order that but without the salami" and so it was done- tre frommagi. I couldn't decide between the Bianca and the "Lucky Tom" but on the owner's suggestion, went with the Bianca, a pizza with an olive oil base, topped with tomato, mozzarella di buffalo, Parma ham, shaved park and rocket (a.k.a. Arugula). When I went to pick them up 10 minutes later, they were ready and had a lovely char from the wood fired oven. The "mini" calzone would've been more than enough for the two of us, and I wished I had ordered just that since we do not have a refrigerator in our room and have to get creative with any leftovers. Anyway both hit the spot, but there was so much cheese in the calzone o ended up having it on the crust of my pizza and there was too much rocket on the pizza, but overall a win and a nice finish to the evening before we drifted off to sleep.
