Super grilled fish

The food here was absolutely phenomenal. We were waiting in line for another restaurant but decided to try this instead. It was worth it. This restaurant had authentic spicy Chinese food that took me back to my childhood! While the service was slow, our server was very helpful and kind. Once we tasted the food, we barely thought about the long wait time. We ordered a dry pot pork (perfectly balanced, great textures) and super grilled fish (it was not only a butterflies fish but also plenty of usual hot pot items like fish cakes, spam, and noodles to round out the dish). This is plenty of food for us as a party of two. Every spoonful was a delight. Highly rec!

Lotus root and pork rib soup. Wait it cool down to drink. Come with a stone container to keep it hot.

I was here for dinner today. We had the huge roasted fish dish. There are two choices for the fish dish, the regular 29$ and the super( 39$, used to be 48$). We had the super which is on discount. The super fish had some hot-pot side dishes like fish balls. I also think the fish is a lit bigger. We two had this super fish only, and we didn't finish the whole thing. Every time we are here we have the fish dish. Mostly we were very satisfied with it. So spicy and full of flavours.

Just a local eatery for those who want unpretentious sichaun cuisine. Seating is a bit crowded but it's cozy I guess. As mentioned in other reviews, service is rather slow. Since you're eating spicy food you want that water topped up asap. I got the fish stew thing that everyone gets. It comes with a lot of sides like tofu and veggies, and two decent sized tilapia good for two people. However, the fish doesn't taste fresh and quality in general is meh. Personally I think it was too salty, because they use the strong flavours to mask the fact that the fish was not fresh. It's a hearty meal, but I think they could've priced their food lower to reflect the quality and atmosphere. Bottom line: would recommend for sichuan cuisine but you can probably find better.

There lamb dish is one of the best thing I ever eat in my life! It's soft and juicy and spicy. I love it! I love their mapo tofu and chicken/potatoes dish as well. :) My boyfriend and I go here almost every week.

My boyfriends favourite Chinese restaurant in Montreal. The service is the typical Chinese restaurant style, nothing over the top but they do bring everything you need when you ask them to. The food here are very good, a bit expensive comparing to others, but good flavours and authentic. Don't miss this restaurant if you like spicy Chinese food.

Chicken pepper potato n Schezuan noodles

Located besides the much adored Kazu Japanese restaurant Delice seems to serve quite authentic chinese food of a specific region who eat spicy food - schezuan, hubei. A first timer there, asked for suggestion. The server was very helpful with honest suggestions even discouraging me to take a specific fish dish. Went with suggested chicken pepper n potato and schezuan noodles for side. Not for mild palate or the sugar coated saucy ones . It's fiery perfect blend of spice n oil but not throat burning and chicken succulent. Will be back again to explore more. Overall: Service friendly, portions pretty good, better if you in a group as they serve the big portion dishes like whole grilled fishes. Food authentic though not claiming to be an expert in Chinese cuisine. Ambience acceptable

Been here twice now and can finally say we have a decent chinese resto. All the dishes I love in china they have though its still not 100% its a close 90% to the real mcCoy. Spicy beef soup and chicken are excellent and esp their organic cauliflower, beans and everything else just great. Be prepared to cough while in there from the spice in the air but I love it. I will back again and again.

The Long Version: I love hand pulled noodles, so my husband and I had lunch here. He's not a fan of noodle soups but agreed to come and just have appetizers, lol. I got the small-sized Spicy Mushrooms and Chicken Noodle Soup ($13.99). I chose the #6 size noodles which is the thickest noodles they offer. My husband got the imperial rolls ($4.50 for 3) and the fried shrimp wontons ($11.99 for 10). I really enjoyed my soup, especially the thick noodles. They were chewy and the right amount of softness. There were chicken pieces in it, mushrooms and a delicious "tofu sausage." It also had 2 pieces of baby Bok Choy and some pieces of kelp. I wished there was more vegetables. The soup also had green onions and cilantro. The broth was a tiny bit spicy from the chili oil. I am happy that this soup does not have sesame seeds in it, so I didn't have to ask them to hold the sesame seeds. Lol. My only complaint would be that the broth was a bit too salty and too oily for my tastes. I still thought it was good though. My husband enjoyed his appetizers. The imperial rolls were vegetarian. I didn't have any, but they looked like nothing special to me, haha. However, the hubby liked them which is what matters. The fried shrimp wontons looked good and he liked those too. Service was pleasant and efficient. The decor is casual with some fun touches. I liked the rotating lanterns with lights on the ceiling and the drawings of a big squid and clams on the walls. I would return to try their other noodle soups and also their handmade dumplings. Review #10 (2026)

The Long Version: My husband and I had dinner here and we really enjoyed it. I initially was going to get their soup dumplings (their specialty), but when I looked at the menu, I saw that they had Laksa ($18.99), so I couldn't resist ordering that instead. My husband prefers pan-fried dumplings over soup dumplings, so he got the pork and mushroom dumplings ($14.50) and there was a $1.99 surcharge for pan-frying (the base price is for steamed). My Laksa was huge and delicious. The broth was so rich with coconut milk and a bit spicy. It was really flavourful. The noodles had a nice chew to them. The soup also contained some decent-sized shrimp, velvetized sliced chicken, cubes of tofu and a boiled egg. I wished it had some vegetables in though because I felt very unhealthy eating just starch and protein, lol. I did enjoy it though ;) I had one of my husband's dumplings and it was good. It had ground pork in it and chopped up mushrooms. There was a slight gingery taste to it. I liked it and my husband liked them too. Service was very pleasant. The server refilled our waters regularly and I like that the water had ice in it and was very cold. The restaurant is not too large and has seating on a main level then up a few steps they have 4 more tables of 4 by the front window. We walked there from our hotel, but as with pretty much all businesses in The Plateau it's street parking only. Review #209 (2025)

All 3 were freshly made & ready for pickup in 10 minutes. Dumplings were soft, delicate & the peanut sauce was amazing. Appetizer size portions were inexpensive and once we started eating, I almost placed a 2nd order as it was outstanding.

Amazing Chinese food…read more Crowded with an all Chinese clientele - and all young people to boot. That is almost always an excellent sign. Very few American-Chinese//Canadian-Chinese dishes on the menu - though they exist. This may be a regional Chinese restaurant but I do not recognize the region. One visit and three dishes convinced me I have to go back rather than just eating around town. In the not to be missed department: Mushrooms fried in egg yolk. These are the most interesting fried mushrooms you will ever have. They are also the richest fried mushrooms you will ever have. You will adore every single bite - and if you are lucky you can eat 1/3 of a serving before being totally full. I believe the trick here is that the batter is 100 percent egg yolk no white no nothing else. They also do a salt and pepper tofu that is creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside. How often do you see that? Braised seafood in ginger and garlic is the same dish you see in many other Chinese establishments but is lovely here. The squid is tough but the ginger is to die for. I am eager to get back. * * * * P.S. I DID get back. We ordered five more dishes. The amazingness quotient continues. Don't miss their fried spareribs.

Old School Cantonese food in the heart of Montreal's Chinatown…read more It's been a while since I've had complimentary pork bone and vegetable soup and seen white plastic sheeted table tops for easy cleanup. LOL. Portions are family style so bring a group with you to share. Salt and Pepper Pork Chop - easily the best dish, great crunch and great flavor. Snow peas sautéed with Garlic was clean, fresh and crunchy. Garlic flavor wasn't overly done. Beef Stew over Baby Bok Choy was tender and beefy. The Baby Bok Choy was hidden underneath in my picture, but it was there. There was also beef tendons as well which I always enjoy. Salt and Pepper Squid was a huge portion and similar to Pork, very crunchy. This was a huge portion. Got seated right away in a packed restaurant on a Friday evening. I was expecting a more flavored experience and maybe that is not what they do or I could have ordered differently. The menu is huge so it is hard to know where to start. We went here because of the good Yelp reviews. Were we arrived in Chinatown there were many other places that looked great, so we loitered at the door for a minute while deciding what to do. As we loitered a family came out and noticed us and asked if were were going to Keung Kee. We said we were thinking about it and they said just go, it is the best restaurant in Chinatown. Sold. We went in, up the stairs, waited a bit, and got a table. This is the kid of place you need to bring a lot of people because that is whet it is built for, the menu is extensive, and the portions are huge. We puzzled over the menu then ordered our food. We wanted a bottle of cold sake and the waiter brought it in an ice bucket. Nice. We started with the pork dumplings. The dumplings were very goof but came in a hot thick sweet peanut sauce. With a lighter sauce these would have been outstanding. The scallop was huge and had a bunch of stuff on it. There was some good scallop flavor but it was masked with all the stuff that tasted like old oil. The noodle dish was good but also had some old oil flavor coming from somewhere. All the meats and vegetables were nice and fresh but the good sauce I think was the source of the oil. We saw a table next to us had the pork chops and was asked, what are those? So we got that too. The chops were thin bone in with a batter fried then soaked in a vinegar sauce. These would have been good as our only item with a bowl of rice. Our co-eaters there had many good looking things. I would give this a try again but would bring a few more people so we could try more stuff. Total for all that including the sake was $100 Canadian. Not bad!
