So I started by calling to check this shop would do the type of mods I wanted then I went in to meet them describe the mods I wanted they told me to email them the parts list and they would get back to me so I do that 5 days go by with no response so I stop by to check in to get met with slight hostility stating they will get to it in a few days so I leave I then swing by a few more days later for a car show the invited me to so I brought my Ferrari Roma and they don't say hi or anything so I leave NOW FOUR MONTHS LATER I remember I wanting to do a 50k build on the raptor n now an 85k exhaust otd for my Ferrari plus I'm looking at potentially modding a ineos grenedier and would eventually do an insane 90k gr86 build and I was hoping to start the relationship off small with the 50k truck mods in the next two or so months but nah these F***ers don't respond so anyways I just left a voice mail depicting my disappointment and I'll see how things go ... I will change this review if they get back to me and it ends well UPDATE! So they called back saying they left an email with I check my email my junk everything and I didn't receive it they said the email they sent said they weren't willing to do my build because of the nitrious part So in other words this shop got but hurt that I didn't accept their word as law about nitrious being dangerous and they apparently don't even understand how nitrious works Yes if you do a massive dump shot it'll blow your motor But if you do it smart and only do a small 25 shot with a progressive controller regulating it as you give it more throttle the chances it's blow your motor up are the same as a big turbo kit also we are talking about a motor with a steel block and forged internals not some aluminum Honda civic block the amount of nitrious it would take to blow this motor up with be insane But apparently dyno comp are a bunch of uneducated wanna be tuners that do basic run of the mill tunes nothing truly custom I will for as long as I live never recommend this place to anyone and whenever I post my truck with nitrous and everything else I'll tag them and be like "these dumb*ss's wouldn't do nitrous because they thought it would blow up ... what a pathetic shop lmao read more

I'm writing this with the sole intent to bring awareness to potential victims of Dyno Comp, as well as to encourage those who have had work done to have Dyno Comp's work inspected. I am convinced that Dyno Comp damaged many other vehicles before and after they damaged mine. Though I was told by Richard Garcia, owner of Dyno Comp, that he fired the mechanic who worked on my vehicle, there is evidence here on Yelp of similar issues that date back to 2018. Those of you who have had Dyno Comp work on your vehicles may not know about potential damage until you "look under the hood". Those of you leaving great reviews may want to have your vehicles inspected. I brought my 2023 RAM TRX in to Dyno Comp last September. After picking up my truck, it was far louder than I was told it would be, and it didn't sound right. Performance was clearly worse than stock. I wanted the headers removed. Dyno Comp was unavailable to remove the long-tube headers they installed, so I went to another shop. Thank God I did, because I would have never known until my engine either failed, or the issues were caught later due to performance problems. MY TRX SPENT 6 WEEKS IN ANOTHER SHOP CORRECTING DYNO COMP'S WORK AND RESULTED IN EXPENSE BEYOND WHAT I PAID DYNO COMP. Rich called me after reading about my problems on an online forum. He initially feigned concern and cooperation, while repeating that it was regrettable that I didn't come to them first. I think it's important to understand that these issues were all discovered by another shop while removing headers. After Sending over an accounting of damage and request for compensation, Rich sent two text messages, requesting and reiterating the need to meet in person. As that would not result in an objective outcome, and is completely unnecessary, I expressed my preference to continue our discussion on the telephone. Rich then went dark and ghosted me. He's clearly testing my resolve, which he's going to learn all about very soon. I also believe that, in addition to the negligence evident in Dyno Comp's work, there is a fraud component. Dyno Comp supposedly tuned my vehicle, which would have been impossible with incorrect spark plugs and a failed fuel pressure sensor that they damaged. They also used a tune provided by Zdung Ho of ZH Tunes, which I discovered after engaging Zdung to re-tune my vehicle. Rich had all sorts of excuses about that, which I do not accept. Had Dyno Comp put eyes on any one of the stripped out screws on my supercharger, or even looked at the data logs that they would have had to pull, they would have immediately seen these problems. Nobody even put eyes on the mechanical work. I'm calling BS on their Dyno sheet as well as there is no way I'm up over 100 HP with incorrect spark plugs installed. Here is what Dyno Comp did to my vehicle: 1. Exhaust improperly installed - Stripped/broken bolts, loose brackets. Missing heat-shield, brackets and bolts returned with stock parts. 2. Wrong spark plugs installed - NGK Iridium TR7IX. These plugs were too short. 3. Spark plug gaps ranged from 25-31. 4. All bolts and screws on the supercharger lid and connection to the cylinder heads were rounded, stripped or missing. RAM specifies specific patterns and torque settings for all bolts around the supercharger. It was obvious that an impact wrench was used, causing damage to the bolts, and potentially to my supercharger and engine. 5. One of two screws for a critical valve was present, but not installed at all, making the valve completely loose. 6. An orange seal from inside the throttle body plug was not installed and was laying loose in the engine. 7. The belt tensioner bolt was stripped out, rendering the tensioner useless and requiring replacement. The bolt would spin without tightening. Evidence shows that the stationary bolt heads were used, with a pry bar used to work around this problem as there were gouge marks around the tensioner. 8. The wiring harness for the FRPS was ripped out, resulting in no fuel pressure reading. This had to be replaced. 9. Upon replacement of the FRPS harness, it was discovered that fuel pressure remained static at 15.7 PSI, with no change. That indicated a problem with the FRPS, requiring fuel rail replacement, after which fuel pressure read correctly. 10. Ground strap not replace after ECM removal and reinstall, resulting in interior/BCM electrical issues, such as a failure of the RF hub. 11. Missing clips on passenger wheel shroud. 12. Another vendor, ZHTUNES, claims that DYNO COMP used their tune file on my vehicle. What I paid for was a custom, DYNO COMP tune, and not a re-used third-party tune. They could not have tuned the vehicle at all with improper plugs and no fuel pressure reading. 13. Ground strap not replaced when reinstalling ECM, likely resulting an a problem I had with the RF hub, which corrected itself when the ground strap was reinstalled. read more

Poor communication. Purchased a car from a dealer that had the car tuned and serviced at DC. Had a few basic questions that would have led to future business for DC but they never replied to multiple emails. 3 stars because the tune is comparable to any of the other off the shelf tunes for the platform but I prefer communication from a company Im going to send business to. read more

No follow up, poor communication, basically two of the most critical things required for a service business. Car was flashed with their 91 octane tune and I had some questions that would have led me to coming to them for thousands more in work but they are so bad at customer service or lazy/rich already, that more business is not a priority for them. Only reason for two stars is because the tune has been excellent and if it starts acting up I have a backup plan that doesn't involve reaching back out to DC. For any maintenance or performance work on your JDM or Euro, I highly recommend Open Shop Auto in Mesa. These are the graphs runs 2 and 12 which is all I got and they blew the engine and required me to pay for the labor. I strongly believe it was done on purpose. Was told the engine was running lean. Wonder why maybe he has to do with the fact that you maxed out my turbo to 30 lbs on a stock WRX. That's negligence or done on purpose because the call I got was"If you're going to want more horsepower you're going to need a new engine let me get you a quote" me showing up with 190 horsepower and leaving with 180 horsepower and a blown engine isn't worth me paying anything to be honest I brought my car in driving and I had to tow it home because there's no way I'm going to let someone work on my car after they just destroyed it and asked for compensation like they had to put the hrs in to destroy my car. Hmmm... Going to try to make this short & to the point. 1. VERY RARELY if ever return calls. 2. Builder of boost kit send my Toyota w/ boost parts to DYNO Comp Hopefully get tuned.As mine was the 2nd boost kit to tuned!? 3. DYNO Comp says really needs water methanol to get any more, then retune. (on my dime). Over $750 in parts I installed go to DYNO Comp to get re-tune, graft shows about 23 HP gain. Butt DYNO says Oh Really!? (don't fell like it). 4. Builder calls asks. Tell builder really think it's just not right & I be upset if this is all I get for this $$$$. "I'm really sorry I wouldn't buy again". Apologies again... 5. Builder finds (far superior) tuner. New tuner tells builder needs this part to tune, Builder Ok more $$$ Tuner Works voodoo magic. Tuner show graft 21HP LESS than DC! But BUTT DYNO says BULL $***!!! It's gone from I think I well sell it before word gets out you touch it I break you nose. I took my 1988 Mercedes 560 SEC into DynoComp today to get a baseline dyno run with Air/Fuel evaluation. The guys at DynoComp could not have been nicer. They were all enthusiastic, professional and obviously motorheads. They spent an hour with me doing some basic tuning on my ancient CIS-E fuel injection and allowed me to make some tweaks. Its pretty easy to get snotty when you work on REALLY high end cars. But there was not a hint of snotty at this place. Or else they were on their best behavior. the first 5 minutes we were there, the owner bragged about everything he's ever done. He then bragged about being able to drive and start anything. 2 minutes after getting into my dads car.....he flooded it. And couldn't get it started again. Which is okay...it happens. He then looked under the hood. He saw ZERO computer equipment. All mechanical fuel injection, and I guess he got scared, because we never saw him again. No offer to help. No offer of anything. Once we voiced our let down. He called the cops on us and told us to leave his property. WOW. Needless to say, He's a keyboard mechanic. If the computer can't tell him what's wrong with your car, he's pretty much useless. Take it for what it's worth. read more

Do NOT come here for Tunning! If your car needs tunning or runs on E85 DONT COME TO DYNOCOMP!!!!!! RUN AWAY This is an honest review, I've spent close to 15k at dyno comp on my bmw built and they could not get it to work. I originally brought it in because they positioned themselves as BMW experts, and the car kept throwing check engine light each and every single time I got it back from them, it was converted to run E85 on flex tune and was misfiring each morning after I got it back. The final straw came when Dynocomp stayed and I have this as evidence on their receipt... that morning misfires may happen and in their words is "Normal". Carlo and Richard there told me to clear the codes when that happens. Can you imagine your car misfiring and going into limp mode each morning and the shop that works on it is telling YOU to clear the codes yourself. Dynocomp stated their other BMWs do the exact same thing, that's a joke! I took my car to a different tuner who found all kinds of issues with Dynocomp tune that had to be fixed. My car NEVER misfires on start ups and runs 100 times better. Take my advice and take your hard earned money else where. read more

Took my 2013 Supercharged Audi RS5 in for a overheating problem. The car was at their shop for a total of 24 days. Turns out it was a broken water pump. They replaced the water pump but couldn't get the car to start because of a faulty starter. I had it towed to the Scottsdale Audi to see if it was covered under warranty because Dyno Comp thought they could "hook me up" and what not. Needless to say the dealership was waiting on a OK from Dyno Comp to go ahead with the replacement for 4 days(on top of the car being in the shop for 24 days already). So for 4 days it sat there at the dealership. I ended calling up the dealership and taking care of it myself. Then I get a bill from dyno comp and on the bill I get charged for a belt that I had in my trunk that they used...after asking what that was about I was told that the bill was automatically sent out after 24 days....????.....so I get the new starter installed at Audi and a week later I get a call from dyno comp asking if I got the car and how they would like to go over the car and finish a few things up. There were bolt heads that were stripped, my manifold paint job was ruined (wasn't spray painted, fuc**** idiots), and a cover panel was broken. After pointing this out to Rich and their marketing guy(Anoeil) several times they agreed to fix it (the whole time they tried cutting me off and trying to distract me). I got no apologies for the inconvenience or anything. During the whole 24 days for a water pump I was calling and getting updates so the receptionist knew my phone number and I could here her say my name in a whisper. I'm talking about I called maybe 2-3 a week because they kept saying it would be done "this week". While visiting scottsdale to look at a Land Rover I stopped in to the shop with my girlfriend. I went back with the marketing guy(Anoeil) to look at my car. When I got back to my rental car to leave my girlfriend said she heard Rich ask the receptionist if I was in the back. She said yes and Rich (while he was with a employee or customer) said "what an annoying little fu**"....needless to say I wanted to do something. This shop is horribly unprofessional and filled with people that don't care unless you are in their inner circle. They gave me the run around and never owned up for their mistakes. Stay clear and go across the street to Goodspeed or another shop! Update 11/20/2017 I have the car get an upgraded fuel pump and the current tuning company has just informed me that DYNO COMP used so much silicon in the bolts they weren't threaded properly. They also used the wrong hardware and shaved my supercharger instead of using the correct hardware. This has cost me an additional $1,575.00 in labor to fix their mistakes. Update 1/16/2018 I have sent 2 emails to Richard about the damages to the screws of the supercharger and what he would do to fix it and he hasn't responded. read more

There's something to be said about a place that is not perfect and makes mistakes but is always willing to correct them. This is been my experience with Dynacomp so far. It is obvious that these guys are experts. They're also very busy. After some deliberation they offered me a quote on all of the work that I wanted to get done on my Nissan Maxima. I have a 2015 Jeep with a RIPP supercharger that had been very tempormental with air/fuel ratios and had on and off performance. I had tried tunes supplied to me by RIPP and the local shop that installed it to no avail. Brought it to Dyno Comp and they were able to figure it out. It is now a different vehicle. It makes much better power and no more engine lights. I am not a racer or a gearhead - I am just a happy customer with a Jeep that now works thanks to this shop!! read more

These guys are always great. I needed some quick setting changes done on an ECM that was flashed back to stock (2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500) so I called around and everyone else told me they're booked solid for 3 weeks out. I called dyno comp and talked to the owner, Richard, who said they're booked too but he would fit me in sometime during the day and to just call and give him a heads up the day before. When I went in, I was back on the road in under and hour with the settings changed like I needed. The work was done at a reasonable rate and I fully intend to return when I get a supercharger installed. read more

DynoComp had my vehicle 1 day and damaged it it in a shop accident. The owner Richard T. Garcia was the cause of the accident and subsequently damaged a second vehicle in the same event. This shop is irresponsible and continued to do nothing on my vehicle for 10 days until I drove to the shop and took possession of my vehicle. His insurance company is dishing out well over $ 5300.00 for repairs and rental costs for my vehicle. This shop is by far the worst after market auto shop in Arizona. Beware, the owner is a blatant liar and threatened to stop his insurance company from repairing my vehicle when I took possession of my vehicle ( little does he know that is illegal ). As for the other car ( an older Mustang that was just painted & restored and slated to debut at Barrett Jackson in January 2021), well lets say the damage will be in the 10's of thousands of dollars to repair. I hope DynoComp insurance company raises his shop insurance for not having proper protocols in place preventing unsafe practices at this place of business. The word around the neighborhood is bad news for this Moron. BTW, the owner of the Mustang took his vehicle from DynoComp the following day of the accident. read more
