They took my money, broke my toilet, and then refuse to finish the job. They don't take credit cards, so you dont have that recourse....obviously they have scammed before. Although we weren't able to 100% see where the scent came from he was able to rule out any leaks. After Snaking the foul odor gradually went away and I believe whatever the issue was, was solved. He recommended we also call again to have a camera check for any possible clogs we might have not been able to get to, but he definitely fixed the issue. After snaking the odor was gone. The latest project I had for him was redesign my dryer vent as the duct was cracked at the opening near the outlet. He made sure the pipes slope in the right incline to ensure the flapper is open when air flows out and remain close otherwise so pests would be kept out. I got most of the parts ready for the project and he was able to make use of them to the fullest even though not all was ideal: e. g. no elbows, need straps to secure pipe to wood and a 4 ft vent duct instead of the standard 8 ft that would be stronger. He was able to grime the pipe edges for better connections with his tool. We saw very good air flow after all was finished.

He carefully explained that due to the age of our home and the poor quality of our copper pipes, a repipe would eliminate the worry of future probable leaks. Derral also gave us a cost estimate for a repipe and explained the leaky pipes could be repaired at a much lower price. Not wanting to deal with the doom of another impending leak, we chose to repipe using a combination of PEX and high-quality copper pipes. Derral's team showed up on time and the repiping was completed in LESS than SIX HOURS! This time frame included repairing all holes in walls and clean up! It is amazing how we take running tap water for granted, but we will never take Derral Yee and his team for granted. Derral was the utmost professional who was in constant contact with us by keeping us informed about scheduling. He always sent us his projected ETA, and he always showed up on time. He shows up and has no idea why he is here. Than he tells me he doesn't have the equipment and he has to come back tomorrow. He observes the job, says he will be back @ 1 to jet the lines. It is now 1:30 and returns saying he can't jet the lines and snakes my plumbing for 2 hours. Clog still existing and nothing fixed. He floods my kitchen due to leaving vent open under sink. I took the day off work for this, nothing fixed. Owner came out Monday gave me a way over inflated price to repair plumbing. Dave was supposed to give me a written estimate and referrals for me to call. Went to his Van and never came back. Just took off. Hired a Rooter company, one of those franchise named companies, to come out and check it out real quick because my other usual plumber was busy and my tenant just needed a working bathroom, they charged an arm and a leg and told me what i already knew, changed a random pipe saying "it might help". Then KVA Plumbing came out and actually fixed the issue. After days of being clogged and 2-3 plumbers saying they can't do anything about it, KVA fixed the problem. They gave me the truth, told me its a fix for now but later on will need to be completely replaced. This way I know what to expect and the tenant knows what to expect, when it happens again i'm calling KVA for the big job or repiping. They have also repiped our whole 4 unit apartment and done the work on my house. Knowledgable plumbers, great owner, good communication and great service. These guys know what they are doing!
