The cashier was very efficient and checked all the sizes ( one was wrong) and we corrected the issue. If she didn't do her job so good we would have had to go back and exchange the size. Just had a far less than stellar experience. Came in looking for a jacket for an event in 2 days. Checked my email first and saw a bunch of discount pricing - except EVERYTHING I looked at was full pop. So I found a nice jacket and opted for a pair of slacks to match. Funny thing, when I asked for suggestions the clerk brought me a plaid pattern, completely different from the plaid in the jacket. I had to ask if this was a new style or something. He agreed it may be too busy. I picked out a black dress shirt, for nearly $100 -of course no sale price! Ok, so the ensemble looked pretty good. At the register I asked for some kind of discount, you know military? Senior? Good looking guy? Nothing. As he is putting my slacks on the hanger, he obviously didn't care, I called him out that he was hanging them with the crease about an inch off center. Just sloppy for a store of this caliber. My purchases have been treated at a discounting box store. Then came my shirt - the trigger for this review. Having been folded and pinned, it was very wrinkled. I asked if there was a pressing service - I was ignored. Then, I was looking closer at the shirt and saw something was on it. I scratched it to no avail. I asked for a discount- after consulting with the other clerk (manager) , I was told I had 2 options (ROFL). First, the could order one for me with a $15 charge but no guarantee I'd get it in 2 days. My second option was to but it and he was pretty sure it would come out in the wash. Full price, of course. So now my motivation for never shopping there again is to get back on my diet! read more

Most amazing experience I have ever had buying clothes today. I am visiting for a wedding. My pants did not fit me. I went to DXL and Chris helped me out. He asked what color my jacket was and handpicked a pair of pants that would go with the jacket. Chris even got me a gold pocket silk as I was trying the pants on to match my tie. Chris was amazing. Had an incredible experience at this location and can't recommend it enough thank you Mark for all your help! I came into this DXL location looking for an outfit for my wedding that was taking place in 3 weeks. I know bad planning on my part. I'm sure other men that shop here can relate but I dread clothes shopping especially for more formal clothes and just had a lot of anxiety going into the store. Mark helped us upon entering the location and was amazing. He measured me and collected multiple different combinations of slacks, button ups and suit jackets to try on. I ended up finding an awesome outfit thanks to his great recommendations. Mark did such a great job finding my an outfit that looked great but more than that he really made me feel comfortable and relaxed during the experience. I am a bigger guy and needed to buy a suit for a new job ASAP. I went around 3 different stores with no luck as they all had to be tailored to fit me. I finally ended up at DXL and was immediately welcomed and offered help in my search. I have never bought a suit of my own, so I was not sure the process and how to fit me properly. I didn't get his name but mad of man was he awesome. He measured me, got me the right suit for my job, and got me put the door in I would day 45 minutes. All my requests and questions where answered perfectly. The price was a little high, but with it being ASAP and also I am a bigger guy I was expecting that. This is an awesome store with fantastic customer service. That is getting harder and harder to find these days. Mark handed the other salesperson checking us out at the register a garment bag. The salesperson at the register was extra helpful, too. Amazing! I've always had a issue finding the right size and style; they have it all. Even provide hemming services as well for those who can't fit in the length but have the girth. I can find any clothing style I need here and have faith that it's not some cheap quality that you find at Wal-Mart. Highly recommended. read more

My son was here from Phoenix for the weekend and needed to do a little shopping and after our experience at DXL in Chandler we knew this was the place to go. The salesman helping us was excellent. He checked the sizes on file from our previous shopping trip and directed us to the area we needed to be. There wasn't a big selection of dress shirts in the size we needed but miraculously he wandered off and came back with 2 great shirts, uniquely different yet perfect business attire. The salesman noted the information on file didn't note prior purchases of dress pants so he took measurements and showed up with the perfect pants! Two ties, 2 dress shirts, 2 pairs of pants and a belt later we were out the door and under 350.00! I must add, the lady cashier seemed rather puzzled by the fact my sons file showed he lived in Peoria/Phoenix and had shopped at the Chandler location. She asked twice if he wanted to change his information and when he said no, Twice, she appeared to get a bit of an attitude. Not sure what that was about. read more

My husband needed some new clothes for work and we particularly like shops like this because they have business casual wear and lots of it. No fuss. We walked in and it smelled amazing and was really clean. We were greeted immediately by Alex and he is an amazing sales associate. He offered us water while we browsed and gave a real personal shopper feel. He was super attentive and made sure my hubby had all the right sizes in the colors and styles he wanted. Alex was educational and even pressed the new slacks we purchased to have a permanent neat crease. Such a wonderful experience, we will be back! read more

Big and Tall shut down on Broadway and rebranded their Oracle location. It is now Destination XL. Think of it as a super Casual Male on Steroids. The selection is huge. It is twice as big as any Casual Male. For those not in the know, this is a plus sized men's store. They have wider selection of Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren. They also have some pretty hip casual clothing. Cargo shorts, graphic tees, belts, polos, even shoes as far as the eye can see. They boast over 100 brands. They had an entire room dedicated to clearance items. I always look online for coupons before I shop here as it is pricey. The staff was very helpful, but not pushy. If you are a bigger guy, look no further, this is your closet in waiting. Sizes go up to 7XLT. read more

I am really surprised to see such good reviews here on Yelp. I have shopped at this location since they opened and have only once received good service. We came in yesterday and the manager on duty (guy with glasses) walked right by us when we walked in and didn't say a word. The atmosphere in this store is very unwelcoming and you can tell that the employees really hate their jobs. I had my hands full of clothes that I wanted to try on and instead of asking if I need help and getting me a fitting room, another employee just stood their folding clothes in the corner. The store also looked really dark on the side that has the Ralph Lauren clothing (I think that they were having electricity issues or they need to replace a lot of burnt out bulbs). The inventory was really low and they didn't have much in my size at all. After receiving no help at all, my partner and I dumped the clothes I tried on by the fitting and left the store. I buy a lot of stuff from here but I am really tired of being treated this way every time I come in. Thank you to the female assistant who helped us in September (not Linda). She works part time and only during the week. She is the only employee that knows what good customer service is. We won't be coming back to this store. read more

Choices for big and tall men's clothing in Tucson is pretty limited outside of a tiny selection at a few big box stores, so I was ecstatic to find this DXL location. What I love about this store, and every DXL I've been in, is the attentive, yet not smothering staff, and this location is no exception. Every time I've been in over the past year the store is always fully stocked and absolutely immaculate. If you're looking for a particular garment, from golf apparel to jeans and polo's to a new suit - any size or color, they can put their hands on it in a second. They have an in-house tailor who can customize any piece for a nominal fee. I've has several jackets tailored and the work has been first rate... and always done quickly. This is my go-to store for anything clothing related. If you're like me and a bit on the above-average size, do yourself a favor and stop in. They'll take great care of you. read more

I walked in, asked for underwear shirt salesman started explaining all kinds of shirts. I ASKED where are they at? salesman kept going with more on and on talk, I asked couple more times where are they at? Salesman said i'am walking to them with a attitude, I did not care for his attitude so I said never mind in a calm voice, and started to walk out. The salesman then started to YELL at me to GET OUT, and kept yelling to get outing and don't come back. I said i'am leaving but their is no need to be yelling at me, FOR I AM NOT YELLING AT YOU! Then he really "LOST IT" and started to yell louder and making some serious anger faces. He then started to come closer to me, and I said do you want to talk to me outside? He then walked away, and I went outside and left. I NEVER RAISED MY VOICE AT HIM, ALL CUSTOMERS HAVE THE RIGHT TO GO ELSEWHERE IF NOT HAPPY WITH SERVICE. I have done business their before and it was great service. this salesman is a joke and has a bad anger problem. I'am glad I'am not paying his pay check.
