While wandering around La Encantada, we popped into Tommy Bahama to scope shirts for an upcoming outdoor event. The vibes TB offers fit the bill quite nicely, so we ended up scooping up a nice button up that was just released with their new spring collection. Paid full price, but still worth it for the material and nice design. Service was stellar. The associate greeted us energetically upon entry and helped us as we looked around, always offering help, but never pressuring us. She was friendly, helpful and kind. A joy to deal with. I am really disappointed in the poor customer service experience I had today. After being a frequent repeat customer of this store I expected much better. I went in to discuss a problem I was having with the pockets tearing off on the cotton t-shirts that I buy. I had this experience with 8 of these shirts. I also had two of the same shirt develop mysterious holes in the fabric. Many of these shirts were lightly worn and should not have had these problems. Before going in I had spoken over the phone with the manager and she said she would take care of some type of exchange. I was not asking for a full exchange because I had gotten some wear out of the shirts. When I got to the store today the manager was not in. So, someone else helped me. I was willing to accept 3 replacement shirts for the 8 damaged shirts. I selected 3 shirts without pockets in my size and would have been happy with this and continued to be a Tommy Bahama customer. The employee who was assisting said he could not make the exchange until Saturday when the manager would be in. That was OK with me. I asked him to hold the 3 shirts I had selected for me and advised that I would be back on Saturday. That's went things went bad. He said he could not do that because they might need to send my selected shirts to another store to fulfill an order. That is incredibly rude, to say that to a good customer. I then offered to pay for the 3 new shirts because my size is XXL and I did not want to lose the 3 I had chosen. (XXL is not always in stock.) I indicated I would be happy to make a payment and then return on Saturday and do paperwork on an exchange for the 8 damaged shirts when the manager was in. The employee then had a nonsensical explanation for why he could not take my money in payment for the three new shirts. I was very polite, but I told the employee that he was risking losing a customer and I did not appreciate his unwillingness to work with me. I left the store without any new shirts. Don't know if I will continue to shop there, I will try giving the manager a chance to intervene. But, I don't like patronizing a company that cannot figure out how to respond to a customer service request. read more

Stopped into the Tommy Bahama store in Tucson while cruising around. The place is clean, well-organized, and has that relaxed island energy they're known for. Staff was friendly but didn't hover--just the way I like it. Lots of nice stuff, but nothing called my name this time. Prices are definitely on the high side, but you're paying for style and quality. If you're into the beachy-luxury look, this is your kind of place. Didn't walk out with a bag, but I'd stop in again. read more

I always enjoy shopping at Tommy Bahama, Tucson. All of the sales associates are so friendly and helpful. They want to make sure that you get exactly what you are looking for.They have a great selection of Olukai shoes and sandals, and helped me make a decision for the perfect pair. Their resort selection of Hawaiian themed clothing is fun of good quality and sensibly priced. I recommend this store and their staff. I think the first review of two stars was pretty harsh. Went in for the first time bought a light airy polo style shirt. Staff let me browse for a few minutes before coming over and asking if I needed help. Which I liked. Erin - my sales women - was polite and knowledgeable about the products. Tried on the polo. And she gave me great feedback. And I decided to buy it. I think it's a wonderful store. I don't mind that it doesn't have a restaurant- as another person pointed out there are plenty in the shopping center to choose from. read more

The Tommy Bahama store in Tucson is wonderful. The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable and an asset to the company. During my last recent visit Ness and Erin helped me purchase some beautiful outfits. Without their help, I wouldn't be able to decide on the best options for me. It is refreshing to have the store in the desert town of Tucson! While I was waiting for my UofA Daughter's Apple Computer Technician to text me back for my appointment, I had some time to kill so I stopped into the Tommy Bahama Store here in Tucson. Gabi U. helped me pick out several shorts and shirts combinations and now I am styling in true Tommy Bahama style. My wife was very happy with my purchase and I would go back there any time. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff and they even sent me a nice care package as a token of their appreciation for my business. You get what you pay for and I can always find something I like right away as I am not the savvy clothes shopper, if you know what I mean. Great job Gabi...you go girl! Also, I read the last review and there are a ton of fine restaurants by this location (I love the North Restaurant) and the Apple Store is right next store. read more
