My husband's friend told him about this store. We finally made it in last night. Everyone was very friendly and helpful right away. As soon as we walked in Gabriel was at the front to greet us. I didn't catch everyones names but two other people were also working and always asking if we needed help. We were very happy to find a place my husband can buy clothes and feel comfortable in them. They have a very large clearance area. We were looking for bright color clothing for the upcoming spring Yelp event. He found two shirts and a pair of jeans. I love that I can come here and find everything that I need. Usually if I don't find anything, or something specific, I can easily find it on their website. I was very grateful for the workers who were open to helping me at every turn as well as being knowledgeable of everything that was there. The selection is vast - you can find something for casual wear, semi formal wear, and even a few pieces for something a lot more formal like a suit. It is a little pricey but most people who shop here already know that. I was able to pick up a new pair of dress shoes that look like tennis shoes and I was very happy with what I picked up. I can't remember the girl that helped me, Anna or something like that. She was awesome! Took my measure measurements in one swoop, got me my dress shirt for my big day. Getting married in Oct and can't wait. So excited. lol. Anyways , she was super helpful, went above and beyond her job and made me feel important... Prices are seem fare and reasonable, I paid $35 for a nice polo shirt, about the same if not sometimes more online. I can't recommend DXL ENOUGH. Went into the store last night across from Roseville Mall and the two people "Working" were so interested in their conversation of being an uber driver that they did not even say hello. I was in the store about 5 minutes but then left very disappointed in their lack of service. They should go back to driving 400 miles doing Uber or food delivery because they certainly didnt know how to take care of a customer... wont be going back there. read more

The store is small but has a decent variety of clothes. The prices are a little high but the clothes are good quality. They also have a section of discount clothes. I bought 3 jeans and 2 shirts and they are great. They have changing rooms available to try on clothes and the staff is very helpful. For a big person who has trouble finding the right clothes their my size, I'd recommend this place but just know the prices are a bit high. read more

Last week, my brother was visiting us from Fresno, and we decided to buy him some needed fresh new clothing this year for Christmas. My daughter and I took him to DXL, Sacramento. While we ended up spending more than we had orginally planned, we feel we outfitted him with some great casual and business casual options that suited his style and fit him well! We would not have been nearly so successful had Pierre not directed us from the beginning regarding sizing, styles and also bringing us back to the "sale section" where we found a few additional items--mostly shirts. Pierre was helpful and attentive in a way that was not intrusive, but always available during our nearly 1 1/2 hours in the store, to assist us with any questions and sizing options, as things came up during the "try on" stage. I assumed he was a manager because he had so much knowledge about the different lines, etc. I guess he must be on a fast-track toward manager because he is just that good at his job and customer service! I observed him helping several other store clients while still making us feel that he was there for us as well. He was also honest about what was working well, and what didn't, for my brother. Thank you Pierre, for taking such great care of us--we will definitely look for you again the next time we are in the store! So this was the third time I've been in this store, and when I tell you I've never felt more comfortable, I'm speaking from the heart. The first time I went in, I was looking for something to feel confident for a job interview. I walked in unsure, and left feeling like I could do anything. Not only did the manager help me pick through colors and sizes to fit me, but also made me feel like I was dressed to accomplish my goals. I was definitely coming back. The second time I stopped by, I was looking for a shirt for a wedding. I struggled picking a color and a type of shirt. I was able to look through different styles and find something that fit me perfectly. Today I came I looking for something more causal. The management and staff were so helpful, while allowing me to find my own thing that made me feel like I look like a million bucks. I don't like shopping because I'm not always happy with the size options and the way things fit on me, but here, Im always wanting to come back because there is more I want to try on! read more

Today my husband went into this store to purchase him a pair of work pants. He picked out several pairs. We asked to try them on. We. Were approached by a very heavyset large woman Who rudely told us that because of Covid we could only bring into dressing room 4 items . 1 time once a day. My husband said okay I guess i will only pick out 4 . I could not believe how rude and mean she was. I then asked who is the manger she said I am and you can leave the store. She then continued to argue with me. I was completely shocked at how she was so unprofessional. Frankly she was so unprofessional and not only her appearance but her extremely dirty looking clothes. If she's the manager this store better get their act together. And hire someone new. I totally understand the stores rules during COVID-19. But no customer needs to be treated this way!! read more

What a great store this is if you are a "bigger than average" kind of guy. It's actually the "Torrid" for guys, very hip and stylish. The day I visited with my son was actually on Super Bowl Sunday and there were quite a few guys shopping that day...one was actually shopping for a nice fit for his Super Bowl party BBQ he was heading to that afternoon and the sales women were so nice and accommodating. The store is located in a strip shopping mall, but because the store is pretty much off to the corner on it's own, you do not have to deal with finding parking in the congested lot that seems to go on in that particular shopping area. They had a big sale selection and plenty of name brand clothing lines on hand. The son bought a real nice blazer that fit perfectly, and he also really likes to order on-line as they have plenty of selection to choose from if you can't find what your looking for in the store. Although you can expect to pay retail prices, it is definitely not your average retail store because they only carry the bigger sizes, which are not very well stocked in your everyday retail store, and the ladies were so helpful I am really glad there is a great store like this! read more

If you're tired of your shirt showing your belly button when you stretch your arms, then do something about it. Stop shopping at the little men's stores. I'm currently stand at 6'4".... I fluctuate between 293-300 lbs. I simply cannot shop at Kohls, Sears, Target, Mervyns, JCPenney, and such. Burlington Coat Factory usually will have something to cover me in an emergency. But I'm not expecting that article of clothing to last longer than a few months. Their selection in my size (3xl-4xl shirts, and 46-48x30 pants), is very limited. Even in their "Big & Tall" section. Not to mention that you have to drive around to all of the Burlington Coat Factory locations in your area to find some thing worth my money. Now when I'm at the DXL Store, I'm always sure that not only will I feel great, I'll have the confidence that I look good too. In the DXL store my shirt size is 1-2xl, pant size is the same with noticeable extra room round the thighs and the "GOODS". So yes the clothes seem to be more expensive. That's only because we are used to paying low prices at discounted stores where big and tall sizes are available to us. Four years ago I went on a carnival cruise to the Western Caribbean, I decided to invest in some nice clothes so I can look good while traveling. I decided to bite the bullet and shop at the DXL store. I mainly stayed in the clearance section and was able to pull 4 full outfits. A few shorts, a few pants, and shirts to match. Man did I have a great time... I didn't feel like I was low class. The clothes were so comfortable I honestly felt just great traveling through the different islands. When I started to get serious about my health and fitness. I again chose to go to the DXL store. I picked up some Reebok Shirts and shorts. It been about 3 years and they still in great shape. Now that I have the most important job of my working career starting on Monday. I will not even waste my time, I will not waste my money, I will go directly to the DXL store today because I need to look confident and dress to impress. I hope this review helps you in making the decision to look your best. I guarantee that your belly button will never be shown embarrassing you when you need to take a stretch. I hate to do this but I've got to make a point. I ordered a shirt from the website. It was an awesome Iron Maiden - The Trooper shirt. Had it sent to the Arden store. On the date it came in they couldn't find it. Dude was looking through a pile of stuff trying to find it. But I'm a patient guy. Told them I'd come back when they found it. They called me an hour or so later. Cool. I picked up the shirt and it rocks. Even with the mild confusion I'd still give them four stars. They were so nice. So why one star? This is not indicative of the Arden store, which is cool in my book. It's the fact that DXL has continually spammed my email address. Every day I get 1 to 3 emails. Every. Single Day. I've unsubscribed. It says even if you unsubscribe you can STILL receive spam for 7-10 days! WTF! It didn't take 7 to 10 days to start sending the emails so why does it take that long to stop? It's been THREE WEEKS and I'm STILL receiving spam after I've unsubscribed twice and wrote to them. The spamming just KILLED the experience. So I would never buy from DXL again. Hell naw. There's too much competition from companies that won't blow up your inbox. read more

WORST NON-CUSTORMER SERVICE EVER.... I've shopped at DXL from the day it was "casual male" then "casual Male xl" and now "DXL" I shop there so much I was invited to the Grand opening g of the Las Vegas store. I walked onto the store today and two emp,yees were havi g a conversation NEITHER of them welcomed me into the store. The guy walked into the back of the store while the female went on the fold shirts. I walked around the entire store I even made eye contact with her and still she never once said a word to me. While I stood near the Reebok collection a couple walked in a d at that point she gave them a warm welcome and even offered to help them. I was immediately disappointed I made the comment " I guess I wasn't worth a welcome e into the store" I ask her her name ( cymone) And the store number and walked out. At DXL you can find anything from undershirts to quality three-piece suits in all different sizes. If you want an excellent experience make sure you work with Victoria! She's very friendly and always makes sure you find exactly what you need. I recently had a conference in NY and decided to pick up a new suit last minute. Although the staff appeared to be super friendly, they were in fact deceptive from the very beginning of our transaction, starting with the bait and switch signage on the coat rack declaring a sale (which in reality only applied to select trousers which weren't even on the rack in question) to what feels suspiciously like collusion to defraud consumers a full prompt refund on a cancelled order. Efforts to obtain a refund have so far required multiple phone calls and visits to the store...and the issue is still unresolved! The order was cancelled within 72 hours for cause, due to incorrect sizing of items being ordered ("but no worries we have a great tailor who can take care of any problems" & "oh they'll stretch once you start wearing them"); since that contact, store management have voiced several (often conflicting) stories to deny the full prompt refund requested, including not being able to find the order in the store room, when in fact, the cancelled order items had been placed in stock for sale on the sales floor... I will not be using this store for any purchase in the future. I gave them a 1 star because they gave me a small bottle of water. read more

Hands down the best experience I've ever had in a clothing store, they have EVERYTHING from casual clothes to clothes for a special event! Shoes, socks, robes, underwear, etc. Even graphic tees. And on top of all that the staff is super nice as hell and they even offered me water (nobody does that) and they treated us (my brother and I) with the up most respect! great place to get large size items for men

To be honest Im 6'2 350 it's not like I'm going to go anywhere else but I i won't say it was maybe racial more like age because I am younger and I did come in wearing basketball ball shorts and a dirty white tee (I was pressed for time to buy a shirt for a wedding) but literally right when I was approached by an older gentleman, I told him I was just looking for a sweater or a nice shirt for a weeding but I think I can find it by myself . When I say this dude was on my hip literally I did like 3 laps and he was right by my side I was extremely annoying when I actually did find 3 or 4 shirts I thought were nice I placed them down or a rack of sorts turned around to like a some others and boom he was right there. Now I had already expressed my wanting to just kind of do my own thing this gentleman decided to take the shirt s from me "saying oh I'll unbutton them for you" and undoing them and walking me over to the dressing room ONE AT A TIME! Severaly annoying had I not needed the shirt I would have left.
