Facing the reality that I had to start shopping at this store was a hard pill to swallow. I was starting a job tomorrow and needed a dress shirt and no other store was carrying my size. I have felt defeated so many times here recently but needing a light blue shirt to start my job tomorrow and not being able to find one at every normal department store was quite sobering. But let me tell you, the sales folks in the store made me feel comfortable, and helped me with what I needed. They're compassionate and understanding and I highly recommend this store if you fit the big and tall demographic as apparently I do now. read more

I started shopping DXL about a year ago. My first experience was in the store. I was helped by Brian who really seemed to care and take his time with me. The only negative was the one pair of pants I needed would have to be shipped. Here is where the problem starts. It took almost 2 weeks, I was told 5-7 business days. Also the Harbor Bay shirts are junk. I took mine to get company logos put on and after 2 or 3 washes they looked like hell. Harbor Bay Jeans are good quality and can handle the washing. As far as the pair of pants that they shipped, I returned them because of delivery. Fast forward to this week and several other store visits. The store visits became a joke, a lady there I won't give her name but it started with an A. Always a smart ass, hanging out behind the counter, you could tell she didn't want to be there. But I purchased anyway, it's kind of the only game in town for this over weight fat boy. This week I purchased everything on line and did the curbside pick up. When you place your order on line and click curbside it lights either green or red, green for what you would think was in the store and ready for pick up maybe the next day. HOLD ON!!! Green means one of the 300 nationwide stores has it.....BE CAREFUL! Not sure what red means, when I clicked it and it turned red I went on to another product. When your order is ready for pick up you get an email.....HOLD ON AGAIN....Only 1 of my items was ready. I called the store and A answered the phone. I said I had have trouble with shipping from DXL in the past.....she cut my off and said " Let me remind you we are in the middle of a pandemic", I kindly let her know I was aware that I just had had trouble in the past. I told her she needed to get some customer training and she basically became even more of a B, and pretty much hung up on me. They aren't the only game in town, I cancelled my complete order and will never go back. Hope this helps somebody else. read more

I had the pleasure of shopping at this DXL Location earlier this morning and to say that the customer service that I received was world class is an understatement. I was taken care of by Harold, Mohammed, and Ralph and they are truly exceptional at their craft. When I entered the store I was immediately greeted by Mohammed who within 20 minutes picked out everything that I asked for. Harold introduced himself and helped me identify some shirt and tie combinations that were outstanding. He is a true natural at clothing sales and has an outstanding personality in dealing with his customer. This was my first time ever shopping at this store, and I will definitely be a customer for life. Their selection is exceptional, but it easily exceeded by the superior customer service that their entire team provided to me today. You can tell that they all work closely together as a team to take care of their customers. I will be eternally grateful for their help today in averting my wardrobe crisis. I would HIGHLY recommend any men seeking excellent clothing options to visit this store. You will not be disappointed! read more

This location has recently evolved into Casual Male's new concept store 'destination xL' ... Since I'm kind of big and rather tall (I mean, "I" wouldn't want to sit behind me at the Fox...), I wanted to check out this new-ish store in the rarely traveled (for me) streets of Buckhead... I tend to avoid B-hed for all the reasons you do. I learned to avoid it when I moved to the AtL in the late 80s, so aside from a rare trip to Oxford comics, I don't darken Buckhead's door ... 'destination xL' is the evolution of the 'Casual Male' brand retailers. This location replaces their high-end, uber-expensive 'Rochester Big and Tall' --- there are still a lot of former 'Rochester' items on display (allegedly marked down) and a bottom floor with some assorted furniture and ancillary items. The shoe department is much larger than the typical Casual Male branch so that's a plus for those of us with big feet. I liked that the employees left me alone to shop rather than trying to shadow me like they do at so many other Casual Male branches .... It was fine for a saturday afternoon shopping excursion with a coupon but cant say I'm in a big rush to return... read more

Staff at this location are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, just like other DXL stores, they are pretty pricey. They also take returns from online purchases which is fantastic. read more

I am a costume designer in the film business. I bought $1304- worth of merchandise and then went back to purchase another $412-. It is understood that returns will happen. We fit an actor, what we use, we purchase and what we cannot use is returned. When we returned $208 worth of merchandise, we were charged $25 and then 20% on each item returned. It was explained that there is just an automatic charge of $25 just for me to to shop here! Like a cover charge or penalty for being in the film business. Then I got the YOU PEOPLE SPEECH. How they're just protecting themselves. Well I have to protect MY business too. Why would I pay to shop at your store. I understand that some people mistreat others, but to umbrella very costume designer because you had a bad experience with one person claiming to be a professional hardly seems right. No one helped me! I carried all the merchandise myself, I picked out all the styles myself! This is BAD BUSINESS! I have a wonderful relationship with my vendors. Being mistreated for being a professional in the film business is inexcusable. At the very least, make sure that everyone is aware of your policy at CHECKOUT otherwise charging is unethical! I will not shop here again! I feel robbed, conned and sad! And INSULTED! I work very hard and I am a respected business woman, award nominated in the field of costume design. I am not used to being treated like I'm guilty of misconduct because someone I've never met claimed to be a costume designer. Other stores open accounts, they have my information on file and the information of the production company. We can then be held responsible if we do something wrong. That way I cannot be penalized for someone else's misconduct. That's good business! read more

I placed an order for my Khaki Slacks Gold Series and the still haven't arrived I haven't received an email or phone call from the local store. When I called the store the young woman who answered the phone did not even go downstairs to search. I find this very disappointing since the clothing is out cheap and yet the customer service concerning my order is severely lacking. read more

Two stars for the lack of selection (you better like plaid if you shop here) and the exorbitant prices (today I asked for a button-down shirt, short sleeves, for around $35. and the sales clerk simply shook his head "no"). As for the sale items in the back? Also, not a great selection. And STILL overpriced. read more

Pricey and very pushy. They need a better selection of clothes that are under $100 per item. I have better luck at big and tall sections in chain department stores. I find that many of their clothes are not sized appropriately. I do buy clothes there pretty often because there aren't many options for fluffy guys like me. read more

High end clothes for bigger men. I'm always looking for places like this because I have very broad shoulders and sometimes need clothes with a bigger fit. Even when I'm in great shape (not like now after the holidays) I never fit in shirts and coats that are made for smaller dudes. The employees here are extremely helpful and attentive. On vacation and decided to stop in since our closest store at home is 45 minutes plus away. Store layout is nice. They have more brand names now from what the sales associate said which in my eyes are over priced ($135 for jeans and $108 for a plain black polo style shirt). I walked around the store needed help getting items from the top rack and once asked about needing help and asking for it the associate walked off into the back. i left the store after she did not return after several minutes. read more
