I walked around in the shoes, sized myself up in the mirror. Eventually decided to get the shoes. I didn't price match, but seemed on par with Docs. 2-17-23 So I was in Atlanta and I had seen these sneakers on this lady at the bar of the hotel I was staying at. I asked her where she got them and she said the Converse store in Chicago. Next I took a photo of the shoes as I really thought they were cool. After googling in Atlanta where they sold Converse this store came up. So we head over to this store. I said to my husband we could call but since we had plenty of time we just drove over. The area of town it is in is like the Village in NYC and very limited parking. On our second go around we went to see if there is parking behind the building and there is a private lot for $15. Hubby stayed in the car while I ran in. I covered the place from top to bottom and not one Converse in stock. They did have a large assortment of shoes as well as Bierkenstock's. Great place to get shoes. I bought two pairs of Birkenstocks here, one cork/leather and one rubber. I generally have found they have great service and surprisingly good selection! One thing I really like about this place is that they will punch more holes in your shoes if needed - I have super narrow feet and they did this for me free of charge! Here you'll find a good array of name brands selling at a reasonable cost, along with higher-end shoes and boots carrying eye-opening price tags. The selection here is huge, and they stock a lot of hard to find varieties of both popular and obscure brands. I tend to window shop and browse more than purchase here, simply because the last Birks that I got here are still in great shape. Abbaddabba's has the most wonderful shoes that are made in Israel - called "Naot". They have cork insoles that conform to your feet so I can wear them all day the first day and they're totally comfortable. I have two pairs and when I need another pair I'll buy that brand. My favorite place to go for shoes. I've been to this location several times, and the staff has always been very helpful and friendly. They have so many great styles that I want to buy half the store. They do the best they can to make sure you find what you want and get the best fit. If they don't have it in the store, they can call another location and reserve it for you if it's there. Whenever I'm here...my hippie soul is at home. Not only can you find any kind of flip flop you could think of, but the look and feel of the store is completely relaxing. The employees are even laid back, but also really know their products. Prices are competitive with the brands...no hidden extra costs here. Parking...there's a lot behind the store that's free during the day, but expect to pay $5 on the weekends. Alright, so I couldn't just couldn't bring myself to end the evening with my sad, sarcastic review of Front Page in Little Five Points. So I am moving on to another venue, about which I have three words to say: Lots. Of. Shoes. Okay, I admit it, there's more. Lots and lots of funky, (expensive), unique, (expensive), FANTASTIC (expensive) shoes. Even Eco-friendly and Vegan-friendly shoes. Nice. Did I mention they are expensive? Okay, so I could buy the same stuff cheaper online, but I'd much rather try a shoe on before I buy it, thankyouverymuch. The employees are helpful and knowledgeable, and I could spend hours rifling through their extensive collection. I have also found that in many cases, spending a little extra on shoes does ensure that you're getting a better quality, more comfortable pair of kicks than, say, the $10 fake Converse sneakers you can buy at K-Mart - so it's worth it to spend a little more sometimes. My friend Mary Kathryn bought a pair of green mary jane sneakers on clearance here, and I am lusting after them. I would be tempted to steal them from her if they were my size. I'm not joking. My husband and I stopped in here after hearing that they had a huge selection of vibram five fingers. Well to make a long story short I had been looking at this one pair of five fingers for months but they have never been available on line and I could not find a pair anywhere to save my soul. Walk into Abbadabba's and there they are on their vibram display! I told the husband to move some money around because I am getting them. Well much to my disappointment they did not have my size. But the sales rep called every single store until he found a pair (which he did in Kennesaw). They let me pay for them in the store in the Highlands to ensure they would not get sold. When I need a hard to find or unique shoe I won't waste any time, I'll just head straight to Abbadabba's even if it is not in their store I am sure they will help me find what I am looking for. read more

Jessica wanted to stop in here to check out the shoes. It's been awhile since I have been here and figured out why...this place is so not me. Don't get me wrong...I love shoes but this shoe store is for the nature friendly type that enjoy wearing sandals and the ever gross Crocs. Just seeing the amount of Crocs available and the colors to choose from almost made me puke in my mouth! If you are a skater, this is a pretty good place to get your shoes as well since they have a nice assortment of Vans and Converse. Way to bring it back Abbadabba...although some need to stay back...way back! The only plus for me is that they sell my favorite hats here! The brand is called Goorin and they are the hottest caps ever! If I ever step back into this store again, it would just be for a hat and maybe some aqua shoes for the beach. read more

This might be in the top 5 of my most amazing customer service experiences, in retail that is. To sum up my review, SHOP ABBADABBAS, BUY THE SANITAS, and THANK YOU SO MUCH IAN!! I'll start the review with my original purchase (in July of 2014). I am a server, so often I am on my feet 10-14 hours a day. Naturally- my feet hurt. A coworker of mine (who has been a server for decades) suggested that I invest in "Sanitas" (if you're a nurse, doctor, server, e.t.c., look them up!). So I went to Abbadabbas to look for a pair. One of the sales associates there showed me their selection of Sanitas, as well as another company names Dansko (whose shoes run about $5 less than styles that parallel Sanitas). I left with a pair for $130. Fast forward a few months to November 2014... My feet were still hurting. I'm not a doctor (yet) so a $130 waste of money was heartbreaking. I sent the Abbadabba's corporate page on Facebook (the one that puts out their ads) a message detailing my purchase and the dissatisfaction that followed. They told me that they would contact the store and let them know I was coming in to have the shoes examined. When I went in, I was immediately greeted and helped by Ian. He explained to me that Dansko was previously owned by Sanita, so Sanita made their soles. But since being sold, Danskos are no longer handmade, so the feel of the shoe is entirely different. He presented me with a pair of Sanitas nearly identical to the pair of Danskos I brought it... And after I found a pair that fit, he exchanged them for free! Now this may not seem like a big deal, but their exchange policy is 30 days. I came in FOUR MONTHS after I bought my shoes. Their condition was still nearly perfect, but still! What store does that?!? Only ones that care about your feet ;-) Ian never seemed annoyed or incredulous (which I expected seeing as though I bought the shoes 4 months ago). He was happy to assist me in any way possible. I have since experienced ZERO discomfort with my shoes. So spend the extra $5 and get a handmade pair of Sanitas! read more

Rarely does anyone actually assist with any insight, knowledge, or experience. First off, I thought the name of this store was Abracadabra. As such, I thought it was a magic store. I decided to step inside. Imagine my shock, and somewhat disappointment, to learn it was a shore store. It offers a wide array of shoes, some inexpensive others not so much. In addition to shoes, they also offer a variety of hats. Nothing really stood out in the store to me. That being said, I really don't have any negative comments as well. The only thing I was drawn to were the boots, some of which were high-end. I guess they're handmade or have a strong reputation because some of them were costly. In regards to the sneakers and shoes they offered, none were of my taste. I may check in every now and then to check out their boot selection. read more

Abbadabba's is a must-visit for lovers of quality footwear, especially those for whom Amazon and Zappos order screens are a heavy trip and a seemingly unavoidable besmirchment of one's shiny little hippie sole. Guilt tripping or not, this location on 5 points main strip deserves a look anytime you're in the area. Their selection is very well curated for such a small space, with many brands that are hard to find all in one place and in such numbers in Atlanta--Camper, Frye, Birkenstock, Rainbow, Olukai, Toms...and the real win--the big reason to come back often--is that their clearance rack in the back is larger than it looks and is often stocked with surprisingly good shit. And anytime I check the price I paid against the web, it's at least on par if not slightly cheaper. The people are also very friendly here, so that's icing on the cake. Check Abbadabba's out, even if you have to drive a bit. The spontaneous shoe discoveries I've made breezing through here are usually much more satisfying than the glazed-eyed decisions I make after 3 hours of loafing around the interwebs. read more

This store looks great, in theory. I've been to Abbadabba's a number of times when I'm itching for a new pair of Converse. I've never walked out with a purchase because they never have the most common size, 8 in women's, in the most common Converse color, black. They can order them, but I came into the store to walk out with new sneaks. Most of the time I just resort to Zappos. The store is super fun to shop in though. Lots of cool brands and I always see something I want, but most of the time they never have my size so I just get ideas more then anything. read more

Walk into Abbadabba's and gaze upon their giant rainbow wall of Crocs (you know, those foam rubber clogs EVERYONE is wearing). They've got blue, green, pink, orange...you get the point. If you're in the market for a dressier shoe, or a sandal, or a skateing shoe, don't worry. Abbadabba's has them too. Plus, they've got cool, hard to find brands like Earth and Campers. I am so so so disappointed in you Abbadadda's. In the past I have loved giving you a percentage of my paycheck for wonderful shoes but this past weekend was the end of our 5 year relationship. Your selection is still top notch but your sales people need to get over themselves. I went looking for a new pair of boots on Saturday, planning on spending $200. Abbadadda's was empty except for 4 sales people standing around rehashing their Friday night adventures. No hello, nod or eye contact? Fine. I am not the type of person who likes having sales people kissing my ass and following me around. I look around for 15 minutes mostly around the boot display. Still no acknowledgement from the 4 sales people. I looked over trying to catch someones eye but to no avail. After about 10 minutes I walked out without ever talking to anyone and went home to order my boots on line. My go-to for Birkenstocks. The staff here is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, with a low pressure, laid back sales approach. They won't let you leave here without seeing to it that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. The selection of shoes here is vast so there's something for everyone here, whether it be Birkenstock, Naot, Doc Martens, Chaco etcetera. This has been my favorite shoe store for many years. My fiancé and I have been customers of Abbadabba's for many years as we are both chefs and this is where we always buy our Birkenstocks. Today I was planning on purchasing a new pair and made my way to the Abbadabba's in little five points. I was greeted by the cashier but it took about 10 minutes for anyone to approach us to help us out. When a employees had asked us what we were looking for we had asked about the selection and he said all he had was on the floor. I had then asked how much the industry discount was and was told you haven't been doing that for some time. My fiancé had just bought his new pair of birks a few months before and they had given him the discount. We calmly said this to the employee and said that was a little disappointing and if that's the case then I probably wouldn't buy them there because there are other places that do give a industry discount and even online I had found some for about $40 cheaper and that was including shipping. In this time we never got uspet we just said that it was a shame. In response to this the man got a attitude and snapped at us "well buy them online then" and just walked away. With this we walked out of the store feeling a little upset that an employee would think it was ok to treat someone that way, it's not like I wouldn't have bought other shoes there just not my birks. We got to our car and decided to call the store and ask to speak to the manager. We gave the description of the man who we dealt with to the manager once the manager got on the phone and found out that the guy who was so rude WAS the manager. My fiancé said that he had never been treated so badly as a customer and that we would never go back into another abbadabba's again, the guy didn't really seem to care. I didn't think this was appropriate behavior and I would surely hope this wasn't a reflection on how Abbadabba's would like to be known for. I am writing this letter to let you know that because of this, this company has lost at least $300 a year from one household and possibly anyone else who asks me where to go to get their kitchen shoes. Fantastic selection. Every possible Birkenstock &etc you could imagine. Merchandising is a bit cluttered looking but it seems par for the course for this type of merchandise. Abundant. Seriously, if you want it, they have it. I needed two pair of Birkenstock sandals to treat my ailing foot--a pair for house shoes and a pair for outerwear. Fortunately I did my research first and went into the store prior to arriving. I can only get there after work so I knew time would be tight. What I didn't realize is how unwelcome late shoppers are. When I walked into the store the sales girl said, "We are closing in 10 minutes. Let us know if we can get anything for you." I couldn't quite believe what I heard so I asked her to repeat. And sure enough. She said, "we are closing in 10 minutes..." My experience was saved by the young man who helped me and sold me the two pair of shoes. Will I go back? Perhaps. But I can say that I feel compelled to write this review in hopes the owners see. Amazon is a tough competitor. The marketplace is not for the faint of heart.
