Great staff the young girl at the register was very kind and sweet. I went when it was very busy and she handled the rush well. My husband and I have been coming here for a couple years, and we've never been disappointed! The sandwiches are delicious, with good portions to fill you up but not leave you feeling overstuffed. Their potato salad is also pretty great. We haven't tried their ice cream, but it also looks delicious! The prices are fair (two 12-foot subs cost us about $17). One issue we do have is the attitude of the owner towards her employees. She speaks to them extremely rudely, right in front of customers. These cashiers generally seem to be of high-school age, but she treats them incredibly poorly, which inevitably brings down our own experience of eating there. There is another woman, who I believe is a manager, who is EXCELLENT, and treats everyone, customer and employee, with humor and respect. The difference is so noticeable that when we come in and the owner is working, we already know that it won't be a pleasant experience. Overall, this is a great establishment, and everyone, except the owner, tries to make it an enjoyable experience. We want to continue to patronize this great restaurant, but the owner's attitude towards her employees does make it increasingly hard to justify. read more

We've raved about it to family and friends in years past... that has since changed and we will no longer be supporting your business. The lack of PPE, barriers, masks, basic distancing guidelines was just on full display this afternoon. The owner and employee behind the counter had NO MASKs on while servicing customers and preparing food. There were more customers in masks than employees, it was mind boggling. I saw the same ole 'rec*ll Newsom' signs all over their window etc, but still decided to enter, the sudden realization that they also don't believe in science makes me sad for they loyal customers that just want a quality sandwich without fearing for their health, who knows what other health codes they're breaking. The food is delicious and the staff has always been kind and friendly. However, they don't seem to be taking COVID seriously as they do not wear masks or require patrons to wear masks even though it's mandated in California. The problem lies in the fact that there are no visible measures in place to protect their customers during the pandemic. D-Dubbs, as my best friends and I called it when we attended Esperanza HS (and what we still call it today), is a classic Anaheim food spot. If it ever goes out of business, I would legitimately cry. Their subs are locally famous, as are the slushees. The service is always so wonderful, and they get your order quickly so that they can build your sandwich and get it to you by the time you're done paying. Be sure to spend $3 or more if you're using a credit card, per their rules. My best friend and I have so many awesome memories here, just hanging out and shooting the shit. I believe in supporting local and family owned. Their food is great, but if you choose to not even put on a mask to protect your employees or your customers it tells me the food might not be as good as it use to be. One of my favorite sandwich places in all of socal. I don't know what it is, but I just can't get enough of their bomber sandwich. I swap out the provolone with cheddar and toast the bread and cheese. I ask for the dressing on the side because it takes me about 20 minutes to get home and I don't like my bread soggy.
