DV8 is great for breakfast or brunch as it has a lovely atmosphere, phenomenal service and employees, and well priced, healthy menu options. Only complaint is the outside seating smells a little funky and has a lot of flies in the summertime. This is my favorite breakfast spot in town. I've tried pretty much everything on the menu and loved it. One of my favorite things about this place is that their gluten free buns are REALLY good. You'd never guess they were gluten free. The staff is always friendly, and I've never had a bad experience here. My go-to is usually the Bacon, Egg, & Cheese (get it without the sriracha ketchup if you don't like heat), but I also love the Breakfast Tacos and the All Day Breakfast Burger. Bottom line first: If you're looking for a good lunch, who wouldn't give preference to a place with a mission to provide second chances through hard work? Win-win situation. If the food was just adequate, this place would still hang around for the reason described above. Fortunately, it's not catering just to do-gooders. Foodies rejoice: the food here is on par with the best restaurants in town (think OBC and Saul Good). But the baked goods are literally the best in town, especially the brioche. As if all of the above wasn't enough, the price points for all this goodness are affordable! Love the food. If you order something that includes bread, your going to be amazed at how FRESH the bread is. It is made every morning, right there, which makes all the difference in the world. Sweet potatoes, avocado, red onions, (I skip), Peppa dew peppers (from Hungary their delicious) & pumpkin seeds with a curry jam that isn't overbearing with curry. The food was awesome. We had a cinnamon roll with cream cheese icing, the breakfast plate, tots that are out of this world and the Orange marmalade chicken(huge), all of which were delicious! The tenders had super crispy breading and the biscuits melt in your mouth. We shared a slice of the sour dough bread with apple butter and it was soooo good! This restaurant is unique and different and has wonderful food items made from scratch. Very busy on a Sunday early morning and still giving great service. Their cinnamon rolls are awesome and the homemade rolls and bread make anything you order taste great. My first visit and wont be my last. My first visit was amazing. Their reason for being in business is wonderful. I didn't know before what the name meant, but now that I do, it's wonderful. I wasn't sure how it worked at first but you have to go to the register to order and they will bring the food out to you by the number you're given. Note that there are several spots in the line where they provide menus to peruse before you reach the register to order. I didn't see those right away so I grabbed a menu at the register. No big deal but would have been better to see them ahead of time. Haha! The hospitality was just wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! It was really cool to see the bakery right there while in line and while dining. Great to know they make their own breads from scratch. So tasty!
