Awful, just awful. I have NO idea how they have such great reviews. After a couple weeks of trying to get through to get an estimate for repair of my air conditioning, when they finally called, they told me they can't come until July 17. Over 2 weeks just for an estimate? Mean while I'm roasting to death. And, the people who schedule are extremely condescending and rude. Because I'm a tenant (who has lived at this residence for 8 years), they treated me like I had no say in the matter and, thus, my feelings didn't matter. Even though I'm the one living in the home during a July heatwave! Remember, this is just to get an estimate, not even to schedule the repair. They said, "oh we are really busy"! Well I understand that they are busy but, maybe say something like, "unfortunately we are not available for over 2 weeks so do you want schedule an appt. anyways?" They just told me the date like I had no say in the matter. BUT I do actually. When we get a new unit early next year WE ARE NOT going to use AZ Air that is for sure!!! read more

This company will never ever get my business. Costco referral. Over an hour on hold to reach Costco just to give my info so they could have AZ call me. They picked the date and time and I made it clear I had to reschedule appointments to accommodate their availability. Before the appointment time they called me three times to confirm the appointment and even asked me to call them to reconfirm. I did. Day of appointment I waited all morning and, finally, 15 minutes after the appointment time, they called and said "Jonathan had an emergency and we have no one else to send." They offered to come another day. Very upsetting. An entire day wasted. I could care less about their "emergency." I scheduled another day but, after thinking about their ridiculous excuse, I cancelled and found another company. Hope to never hear from them again. Also called Costco and made a formal complaint. We had requested a quote for a Daikin VRV electric heat pump ducted air handler system. After a bit of research and some neighbors using AZ, we were confident they could execute the installation. The in-person consultant Dushaun Tucker had excellent communication and prescribed system air handler products which would improve air flow and satisfy the BTU/cfm air flow requirements for our homes layout. The HVAC system included 4ton Daikin VRV heat pump to support a 2-zone system with separate ducted air handlers for upstairs/downstairs. 2ton slim ducted air handler for downstairs, 3ton slim ducted air handler for upstairs, and air flow splitters within new flex ducting. After the consultation, Dushaun continued to excel in open communication and was the driving factor in our going with the quote provided. The installation process was where the review loses one star, as the installation team did not have similar open communication with the customer as I had expected. The overall installation time was 3 business days from start to finish. read more

WOW !!! Where do I begin. I am so ecstatic that I chose this company. The entire process from start to finish was incredible. We had a very old system that needed replacement. After receiving some bids from other companies, we knew immediately when we met with our comfort advisor that this was the company for us. Me and my husband hired this company to install our brand new Lennox system. This is top of the line equipment and we feel we paid a great price for. Day of installation the crew showed up on time and installed our system. Their team was so efficient and polite. Once they were finished with everything it was like they were never there. After the installation the process for inspection was smooth and easy as well. I had a few questions regarding the permitting process and Aileen from their office was able to answer and help with whatever I needed. We had our installation finalized by the city and passed with flying colors. I cant say enough great things about this company. A+++ for AZ Air!!! We moved forward with replacing our very old AC unit and moving it from the garage to the attic. We obtained several bids and moved forward with AZ Air Conditioning via Costco. Our in home representative, Kevin, was amazing - he went above and beyond to get us set up with the best unit, coming in much more knowledgable, professional and kinder than the other bidders. He also helped us ensure we were ready for the install and checked in throughout. It was a privilege to work with someone like Kevin. The crew was fantastic - finished ahead of schedule, managed our rather rambunctious dogs and were super thorough in their work and clean up. Hubby is handy and interacted with them quite a bit on progress - they would educate us on their progress, use, benefits, etc. We had 2 close bids, could not be any happier that we went with AZ Air and had the opportunity to work with Kevin, Zack and Hector (and his hardworking crew). Looking forward to using our AC, whole house fan and Costco gift card this summer! read more

One of the worse HVAC companies I've ever had to work with. From start to finish it was a terrible experience, I called them about my heating unit not coming up to temp and the technicians they sent out were very rude and kept telling me different things. When I finally got a quote they wanted to do a full reinstallation which would have cost he a few thousand. I told them that wasn't necessary I just wanted my heating unit to come up to temp and they belittled me and acted like I just didn't know what I was talking about. They still charged me for them coming out but I had to call out a different company who wasn't trying to scam me. Run from these guys, they are nothing but scammers. read more

Our last maintenance technician (Jesse) was very knowledgeable about our unit and took his time making sure all checks were working perfectly and meeting specifications requirements. I am deeply disappointed in this company. They came to diagnose my furnace, which wasn't working and found out that the thermostat was no good. Since they didn't have a replacement thermostat, they wanted to come back and charge an extra fee for putting in a new thermostat! This surprised me. Given that he didn't have the part, I assumed that a good business would waive a fee for a return visit, and that the diagnostic fee would be applied towards the repair--which in my experience with appliance repair services is quite common! To add to the problem, the service person misquoted the original diagnostic price, saying that I owed them $149 when I was quoted $99 on the phone. I refused to pay up front until I could verify the $99 quote. (It was verified by their in-house rep). I asked them to recommend a thermostat that would work, and they said that they would get back to me about a recommendation. They did not. When I called them back to follow through on my request, they hadn't done their homework--they didn't have thermostats that they could recommend. All they could talk about was me paying the diagnostic fee and that I'd have to pay an additional fee for them to install the thermostat -- a job which would take a skilled technician 10 minutes! When I reiterated that it was my understanding that the service fee would go towards any repairs that were needed, they told me that wasn't true (Even though most reputable companies I've dealt with over the years have this practice) They also said they had a recording of our original call to verify everything that they were saying. ( including the $99 dollar diagnostic fee of course)I felt totally offended by this(recordings of 2nd parties are not Kosher in California without permission of the person being recorded). I then got another representative to agree to install the thermostat without an additional fee. I felt vindicated that they were honoring a consumer that they messed up with. But then , minutes later, a service manager called me back and said that I would have to pay an additional $99 to have thermostat installed. The gall of them! In any case, the bottom line is that the company refused to do business with me any further. The truth is that they didn't complete the job and didn't follow through with me. Would anyone in their right mind want to do business with these people? Altogether an unpleasant experience. I do not recommend them read more

Do not use this company! They came and installed a water softener and drinking water system at my house. Great no problem. The guys were kind and explained everything. Had a problem a couple months after install and they came and fixed it. Problem starts when you need to buy replacement filters. The drinking water system they installed has filters that need to be replaced (easy enough) I call them place my order. Waiting a week nothing comes call them they tell me to call post office with the tracking number they provided me. I call post office they get back to me the package shows it was lost. I call AZ back they tell me to forward the email from post office to them. I do that thinking now they have proof they'll send me my replacement filters. Nope! I call them multiple times. No one can help me there is apparently only one person there named Monique who can and after about 4-5 calls I finally get on a call with her. She's nice says no problem we'll send you the replacement and we'll even send the tracking so that you can track the package. I wait another week no tracking sent to me. I call back and surprise surprise she's not available. They tell me she'll call me back I never got a call back. Sad I really liked them when they first came out those guys were professional and did a clean job. But now that I've waited over a month to get my damn filters and still nothing. Totally unacceptable. Do not use this company! read more

While I was very pleased in my earlier review regarding the installation of our HVAC unit, I must admit that "service after the sale" has been extremely poor. When we purchased our system we were told that we would be receiving a gift card of $925 as an incentive to purchase and install our unit through Home Depot/AZ Air Conditioning and Heating. After looking at the numbers we felt that this was a competitive bid so with went with AZ. Now, 4+ weeks later, I have yet to receive my gift card. I have had no resolution short of "lip service" from our salesperson playing the "blame game". As I texted my salesperson, Mario, "please try to look at this from my point of view. I am the client. I contacted Home Depot for a new heating and air unit and they chose YOU (AZ Air Conditioning and Heating) as my agent. You are my point person. You are the person that I am expecting to resolve this issue for me." In short, while AZ is happy to make the sale and runs a smooth install, the service ends there. If you are considering a purchase with the "promise" of a gift card I would advise looking elsewhere for a service provider. read more

We had a unit replace at a unit I'm renting when it came to the install people were nice. Shortly after install we started hearing banging noise when it was being used and called so they can come and take a look. The appointment was weeks away but what could you do if they are busy. So the tech comes today and I was asking him about the unit and if it's because lack of air and he agreed. I then told him that is it possible that it's doing what it's doing because the intake isn't to correct size. He responded with I'm not going to sit here and tell you my move by move and you're not going to tell me how to do my job!. I was blown away by his response because I had only asked him that question and I was trying to inform him only because he wasn't the tech who installed originally. Their sales rep George provided info & explained the products available. Their installation was INCREDIBLE! Pedro and his crew worked diligently to not only install the new heater, but to place it in the attic. They were finished within 2 days! The entire team was exceptional and very professional: their attention to detail, with so many things that needed to be done properly, and cleaning up each day. When all was finished, I was amazed by what they did in my attic! We appreciated their hard work so much, that we "pushed them" to take a break in the afternoon (with donuts we bought). otherwise they would have continued working, with only a lunch break! Porter came in and gave me a no-nonsense quote, walked me thru how our needs could be met, and he did it without being pushy at all. Beyond that, if he didn't have the answer on the spot, he didn't hesitate to call his upper chain and handled every one of my concerns. Given that they have a great product and can back it all up thru Costco, I can see why there's no real need to lay the sales pitch on so thick (like two other vendors did). Moreover, they were competitively priced, and with the Costco Cash Back Gift Card and Executive kickback, they even came in a tad lower than the others! They were rather punctual and with outstanding communication throughout the entire process (initial appointment, testing, and installation). Zero issues! It's been a week now and our unit is firing on all cylinders, providing ample cooling for our 5 bed/4 bath home. I couldn't be happier with the current conditions and It's nice to have peace of mind knowing that AZ Air/Costco have my back should the need arise. Look no further, the search ends here! I selected AZ Air because of their association with Costco, even though they were the highest quote I received. The rebate from Costco helped to make up some of the difference. The installation seemed to go fine but after about a week I heard mice gnawing in my wall near the outside equipment. I could also hear them in the return air ducts. I inspected the outside and discovered that the installers failed to seal the opening in the wall where the coolant lines run through. I bought some rodent repellants and after a couple of days decided the mice left so I sealed the opening with expanding foam. Unfortunately, several weeks later when running the furnace, the smell of dead rodents could be smelled throughout the house. We thought there wasn't anything that could be done so we tolerated it and hoped it wouldn't last too long. We are now seven months after installation and the smell still can be detected so I called AZ Air to see if they would clean the ducts to get rid of the carcasses. I was told a manager would call me in one or two days but it is now almost a week with no call. AZ Air's unwillingness to correct a problem that was clearly caused by their installation team is disappointing and totally unacceptable. read more

I haven't had the work done yet but I am confident that AZ is the right company from my interactions with them so far. I am very excited to finally have ac in my condo! I don't think they are the cheapest BUT AZ takes care of permits and is very forthcoming about their liabilityInsurance etc and the do financing- all valuable points to me especially when I decide to sell my condo- I want everything to be permitted and done properly. After 40 years, my old gas furnace was noisy and not heating the house efficiently anymore. So, on a recent trip to Costco, I set up a free in-home estimate. Costco put me in touch with AZ Air and Heating. AZ quickly set up a home visit with their sales representative Mike M. During his visit, Mike explained all of our options for choosing a new furnace, pricing, and installation procedures. Mike was friendly, informative and very professional. He took his time to answer all of our questions, and since Costco contracts with AZ for their HVAC sales and installation in my area, I felt confident that AZ would stand behind their work. On the day of installation, AZ Air and Heating did a wonderful job removing the old unit and installing the new one. They arrived on-time and were very professional throughout the installation. The one problem that I did have was that after they installed a new smart thermostat, the person did not speak fluent English and was not able to explain thoroughly how to use and program the new unit. Although the new furnace is working, I am still trying to read the manual on my own and understand how to program the thermostat. read more

To be clear, I don't know sh*t about air conditioning. That said, my ac was working before they came, I called them for a cleaning, and then they tried to leave with it not working and convincing me that my unit was "broken" and needed to be replaced. The technician they sent me had a very kind demeanor but I quickly felt like they were trying to pull a fast one on me like this is their MO (you call for a specific service, they give you a deal for a full inspection because they do not do any services without a full inspection, and then they find all these things wrong with your unit). I found another company that's a small mom and pop and they gave me a realistic breakdown of things. I don't have to change many of the parts for at least another year. And that's time I needed right now. Not a good experience, do not recommend at all. read more

Their entire operation truly cares about the customer, all the way from the sales manager, to the schedulers, and most definitely the technicians. Our Lennox thermostat was going out, and I was truly dreading the process of calling around to find an HVAC company to get it replaced because most companies don't operate with a personal touch anymore. I was so pleasantly surprised to find that the Service Manager, Andrew Aguinaga, quickly returned my call and discussed several affordable options with me. He was very pleasant, fair, and right away I could tell that his main concern was getting our system repaired as soon as possible for our convenience! There was no price gouging whatsoever! I also can't say enough about the technicians who arrived to do the repair/installation, Eric and David. If you decide to go with AZ Air Conditioning and Heating, I strongly suggest that you request Eric and David as your technicians! They were both so professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and very helpful! They made this a very seamless process and everything went so smoothly with the new thermostat installation, even including how patient they were with helping me download the app to my phone and connecting the thermostat to the wifi, showing me how to operate it from my phone, etc. Even their trip into the attic to ensure the HVAC unit was working properly was very quick and seamless! They were respectful of our home, wore masks, booties, and even put down a blanket to ensure our floors were kept clean near the worksite. I was so pleasantly surprised because I didn't expect this to be such a quick and easy process! 100% recommend We wanted to take advantage of the energy tax write off and rebates. AZ was so helpful. They gave us an estimate then patiently followed up for 6 months until we were ready to buy. They are a qualified installer via Home Depot which gave us confidence AND we used our Home D credit card for 24 months no-interest financing. AZ was so efficient. They installed a new HVAC in 1 day and were very careful in our house including tarping floors and furniture even though it wasn't a super messy job. They tested all of their work including every vent in the house. They also gave us the info we need to submit for rebates (LADWP etc) and they coordinated the payments through Home D. The unit was tested by a 3rd party and passed with flying colors. AZ also scheduled the city permit process which is needed to get rebates. It was a big scary purchase and AZ helped us through it. Kudos to Nino for managing the crew and leaving our house cleaner then they found it. read more

Our 25 year old air conditioner needed a replacement. They partner with Costco which made the process easy and accessible. There were many logistics to work through being that the unit was on the roof of a three story townhome situated in the back of the 8 unit building. The HVAC installers and crane operator were complete pros. Work was completed in one day with a quick visit from the roofer to seal in a new component on the roof. It was a pricey unit but our home feels great, we can barely hear the air on but the comfort level has increased 10-fold. They left the house clean and no marks on the walls were they installed an additional take in vent. They were polite, friendly and professional. My parents had a whole new system replaced in their home prior and were also very pleased with the results. Highly recommend!! read more

I bought two air-conditioning units from these people in 2019. They did not install a water pump and so now that it has broken down they are refusing to do anything about it without me paying $150 service coffee fee just for them to diagnose it. They did an improper installation and now they want to charge me more to correct which should have been installed properly the first time. Complete bait and switch rip off! read more

I went through Costco to get to our local installer. Dushaun came out to quote the job and was exceptional. I read a couple Yelp reviews that the project consultants could be pushy and that doesn't work for me as I'm sure it doesn't for many, especially when you think Costco and excellent service and products. Well, Dushaun was all you would want, expect and more! He walked me through what my old systems are doing, new CA and LA County requirements (gov't doesn't make that easy and makes it more expensive; thanks my public officials!), and how the new systems would work. He was very thorough and even gave extra unexpected advice around my current gas line situation. Thanks to Gabby for the intro call and getting us a kick-butt project consultant. We are probably a little bit away from doing our heater and will make it through another winter, but we will look to do our AC soon and we will definitely call Dushaun back out. We need to wait for Lennox Slim AC to be produced and we will call them back to install. read more
