I'm an environmentalist -- maybe an oxymoron when when it comes to getting an AC system, but there it is. Since we need to get some kind of system for our family, I wanted to find the most energy efficient air conditioning system I could, with the lowest operating costs, the lowest carbon impact, and the best fit for how we tend to use our house. I wanted to know about the quality and reliability of what we were installing. All the good stuff. I took bids from a number of contractors. Bill at JMS was the only one who really understood where I was coming from. I ended up choosing a mini-split system, which will cost one-third or one-fourth as much to run as the standard central air systems that Americans tend to pick by default. The air that circulates in our house will be healthier as a result as well. The compressor outside is far quieter than the standard central AC compressors, meaning when we're outside we don't have to deal with any noise. We figured out the right solution after carefully considering the options -- which is a process that Bill was willing to go through with me and some other places didn't seem to be. And I really appreciated it. The install team, led by Ohad, was solid. It took a few days longer than I thought it would to get the job started, but when they did the job, it went exactly like they said. A service tech name Lee showed up to help me deal with the city inspection and make sure the system was working well, and he was great to deal with. I recently had JMS A/C & Heating remove my old unit and install a 5 ton energy efficient new A/C and Heating unit. They also installed new ductwork throughout our house with 2 zone system with separate thermostats for our first floor and second floor. The new system is super quiet and very user friendly. I can use the app on my phone to adjust the temperatures for each of the 2 thermostats. Since the installation of our new system, our house has constantly remained cool throughout the day. I am extremely happy with their quality service and professionalism. JMS was very detailed and extremely meticulous during the removal and the installation of the new system. I would like to personally thank Yossi and his professional and highly skilled technicians including Ohad, Claudia, Romik, Urel and Raymond for their outstanding and impeccable quality services. Ohad was very helpful and courteous and he brought us 3 portable A/C units with his personal truck for my family to stay cool. JMS was very helpful and extremely quick responding to our needs during the installation and they did an amazing job. Their customer service is superb with the highest quality and they even went above and beyond by redesigning our air ducts to make sure we are getting the maximum air flow possible. Run away screaming, they tried to charge us $1600 for 2 units that are still under factory warranty, another ac company is doing the job for $300 with covered parts under the warranty. I asked them about it & they said they would call back, no call. Very unethical & dishonest is what they have proved to me!!! Update- the technician Marco came back & traveled probably at least 15 miles one way to come & explain what happened, he offered to pay for the service from the other company, & explained that it was an oversight,& he made it all right, this action speaks volumes to me!! I feel bad for the write up that I gave them. I will definitely use them next time I need service or repairs. I have a lot of respect for Marco for doing what he did, it takes a real & honest man to apologize, offer to pay for my ac repair that another company did, & actually care about what happened. I withdraw my remarks made earlier. I give them 5 stars all due to the technician Marco. Thank you Marco & when I need service again I hope they send Marco. Most companies don't care about an online review let alone someone that seemed upset & wouldn't use them again. They have gone above & beyond for me & that takes a special kind of person. My AC went out during 100 degree heat with this week going up to 100+. Me and my inside dogs were misrable and couldnt sleep. We had to sit on my patio at night just to stay cool. The house was so hot reading between 90-93 degrees. After a week of bad experiences with upsells and unnecessry runaround from another co., I called JMS and spoke to Tina. I explained my misery and frustration and need for sleep. She was so understanding and on the very same day Yaniv came out to do quote and logistics. He was great! He took the time to review what I needed to do and why and gave me an amazing price to replace my unit. Didnt try to oversell me at alll- just provided me with what needed to be done-so refreshing! And if I couldnt be happier at this point, the install was set for 8am the next day!! Techs Gabriel & Manuel came out were as nice as could be. Explained what I needed to know, made sure all my air was flowing before they left and even helped me install a new vent cover I had bought-great guys. The final product is cold air (yeah) with my new ac unit, the estetics on the new unit and how the job was done is beyond. Very professional team of folks. We're running a Daiken 20 Ton VRVIII condenser system that ran into issues servicing our 11 X air handlers. The team arrived on time with 2 techs and their master Daiken tech, troubleshot the system and took care of these items to restore the system: recharged refridgerant, tightened all valves on the 11 X air handlers, determined that 1 X compressor in the Daiken 20 Ton VRVIII condenser system was suspect. They replaced 2 X ducts on one of the problem air handlers. Their accounts manager was even kind to negotiate some pricing on the repairs. I was very hands on during the first and second time visit, which I suggest any customer do during these initial visits, since you'll understand the scope of your system, and will be able to keep a tab on the maintenance. I also suggest for a considerably "large" system that we have, to request one of their master techs to review the following: Note what your refrigerant pressures should be at, take a qualitative look at the outside unit condenser coil fins for cleanliness, note where any drainage filters / pump operation exist, note where the air handler filters exist, and learn as much as possible about the control system panels. read more

The work done for us was on October 24 , 2012. This company did a great job repairing a few a/c's in the unit that I live in. My manager is my best friend and he wanted a good company but didn't have time since he was doing other things.. so I told him I would do some research for him. I called and spoke to one of the dispatchers he was very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave me some information about the company and their prices. I spoke to my friend/manager and he told me to book them. I called back and spoke to another girl in the dispatch department. She was also very nice and knew what she was talking about. The day before the same girl called me and confirmed and she also called the day of our appointment to let us know the technician was on his way. We had a few units that were leaking and some that just wouldn't start. They replaced the ones that weren't working and fixed the leaks on the others. The technicians were very well educated and they answered all my questions. Obviously, the team here from the dispatch to billing to the technicians are all very professional. Lorraine at their customer service was empathetic to my plight and with a good understanding of the business, and a great sense of humor, realized that I needed a competent change in venue quickly. The JMS technicians Eduardo R and Dave G arrived as scheduled the following day professionally attired and fully prepared to complete the services and answer the technical and financial questions I required in the time frame that had been specified. They were aware of the previous missteps, mishaps, and errors, both technical and financial, that other companies had incurred and with a lot of personal knowledge and some on site innovation, their tasks were completed to the satisfaction of everyone. I was sent an invite thru the mail for an AC Tune-Up Special for only $48. I called if it could be done on May 29 (Fri.) which happened to be my off-day from work. Not only was my request scheduled by a courteous customer service person, I was given a "2 for 1 Early Bird Special" to get my furnace tuned up for the same low price. Plus a free duct inspection! The technician, Jeff Berg, did the tune-up. My air-con is fine. My 28-yr-old furnace is not. He was so patient answering my questions that I decided to get a new furnace installed -- again on my off-day in June! He called office and again, my request was accommodated. Not only that. Jeff also helped me get it financed for 12-months, interest-free. I mean, he stayed and patiently helped me speak to the finance company. Reason: I am hearing-impaired. So overall, I was impressed. I look forward to another good experience when my furnace is done in June. (Note:I have not checked how good the price is on the new furnace but I will check and compare.) read more

This is a Mom and pop operation multiple reschedules and cancellations . I had an apt for a LADWP for my mother I was given 3 different apt times . The last time tech was right in front of my house eating , only to get a call for the company to tell me an emergency came up . Less than 10 min later tech was still in front eating only for him to come knock on the door 10 min later and ask if he could do the service since this Job was on his way home how tacky and unprofessional. Hear in LA Winter arrived about two weeks ago. Our 30 year Lenox heater / ac combo roof unit gave up the ghost. Being an auto instructor gives me the license to try and fix it. I got to admit I needed the help from my friend "Yosi" from "JMS Air Conditioning & Heating". He sent out two sharp technicians "Ohad and Michael". They R&R the unit with a 5 ton American Standard Seer 16 and also replaced the thermostat with a Honeywell "FocusPro" TH600. Even though they were faced with ducts designed for the older Lenox, they skillfully married the two saving me a lot of money for otherwise new ducting and roof modifications to accommodate the new unit. Then programmed and explained how the new thermostat worked. All I can say These guys were terrific and quick. The moral of this is; You can not do everything yourself no mater how good do it yourself you are. Some time you need to hire an expert! read more

I must commend JMS for their professional service in servicing our heater last week, August 22, 2014. I know it is a bit early but a few days from now would be the start of Fall and it would surely become chilly as days pass by and if by chance our heater is not working well during the chilly days, then it would be a problem indeed. So it would be better for us to be safe than sorry. The guys from JMA were very polite and explained to us what they were doing and in what state our heater were. It was nice to hear them say that our heater is still well and just needed a few cleaning and maintenance. Their service went further than that... because I was stuck behind traffic, the crew from JMS waited for me and didn't left. This is a clear sign for me that they do value their customers. Thank you JMS for an amazing job!! Our heater went out and we were so cold for several days. Called a couple of other companies besides JMS to come out and give us an estimate for the job. The furnace had to be pulled out and entire system redone, big job! After meeting with the owner of JMS, he explained the best way to fix our problem which was a huge step above what the other companies had suggested. We were impressed with the professionalism, knowledge, understanding, and the helpful attitude of everyone we dealt with. The owner even offered to have a few heaters delivered to our house so we can stay warm until the job can be completed. The technicians were great and finished on time as predicted. Damian just left my apartment. I am so amazed at his kindness and professionalism that I couldn't wait to get online and put in my review. He showed up on time as was promised, he even called to say he's on his way. He changed the thermostat very quickly. I had not asked for filter replacement when I called in for service last week but it came up in the conversation and he said if he had any in the right size in his truck, he will replace it at no charge !! - he only had one so he replaced one and he even offered to bring back another one for the second vent and replace it later !!! JMS installed a new AC unit at my home and they exceeded my expectations. The team leader Ohad came to my home before the install, and guided me step by step of what to expect and took all the measurements to make sure all parts are ordered correctly. In addition, Ohad managed the team and made sure the install got done right. The coordinator Claudia called me to arrange time of arrival and other concerns I had. The install crew managed by Ohad of Romik and Uriel did a great job of installing the AC, removing my old ducts and installing new ducts too, in a very professional way. Our AC started making a strange rumbling sound. I called JMS AC and Heating. As promised, the technician showed up on time, professional, and polite. I watched as he took apart the furnace and found the schematic label had fallen off and was sucked into the blower, which caused an imbalance. The technician then went about taking apart the blower and motor and cleaned them thoroughly. Also inspected the coils, which showed they were pretty clean for a 9 year old machine. Other than the diagnostic fee for coming out, there was no additional charge. He did talk me into the service plan, which he believes (and I agree) is a good deal for an older AC unit. On time, courteous, expert, and honest. What more could you ask for? Will definitely be calling on JMS again in the future. read more
