I had a great experience with HVAControl and Vardan who came out quickly after I filled out their messaging form on their website. My AC just randomly shut off yesterday and my nest Thermostat threw out a E73 error. I already knew my AC unit is on its last legs because it's over 20 years old. I already did the typical yearly maintenance on it 2 months ago with another company. Vardan give me a call like an hour later after I submitted my message but I thought it was a spam so I didn't pick up. He then sent a text and that's how we communicated. He give me a time range the next day and also their price. He came within the time range and went straight to work. He got my AC back running but advise me that it is time for a upgrade which I already knew. Everything in my life is breaking, again! There's a certain feeling you get when you suspect something like your heater/A/C unit is dying. Wholly Smokes, this is not good. I scheduled an appointment with Vardan to troubleshoot a possible problem with my air conditioning unit due to what looked like a water leak/ stain on the ceiling. Fee for this appointment $100. Vardan arrive on time, examined the stain/ leak, then went into the attic to investigate the possible problem. After some time he figured that the stain/ leak on ceiling had nothing to do with the unit in the attic (which I had replace a few years prior with another company) Vardan determined that the old unit had caused the problem. I then proceeded to ask how he would like payment and was surprised when he said no payment necessary. (After some persuasion Vardan agreed to $50) I appreciated his honest, time and effort. He kept asking if I will replace it the estimate is free But if I don't replace the system he has to charge me , I told him I do not know if it needs to be replaced or not , the fact that his expenses does not apply for system replacement is kind weird , it was just a simple home visit I ended up getting 3 free estimates and replaced my whole system . I'd give Vardan bonus stars if I could...I got multiple quotes to get my 30 year old Carrier furnace running again, the first 4 techs that came out to diagnose the problem claimed it was not fixable, all of them tried to sell me a new furnace costing at least 10k.
