Dutch Bros Coffee is now open. I stopped in after a trip to the store with the red bullseye and expected the usual long wait that you experience with a new coffee establishment, but that was not the case today. I pulled into the two lane drive-thru line with about five other cars. I went directly to the outside lane and waited my turn. I didn't see a menu board in this lane, so I'm glad I knew what I wanted. I ordered the Salted Caramel Breve. This is the second time that I have ordered this from a DB location. I will say that my drink was not as tasty as my first SCB, but it was still pretty decent. The service, however, was exceptional. I'm glad that T-Town has this Dutch Bros location. They have lots of staffs out side to greet ya in the drive thru and service is professional, friendly and efficient!!! Lots of coffee and tea options, including sugar free. Ask to make it perfect- you'll get Carmel and Mocha drizzle. The perfect is Picture Perfect worthy and with a few added calories lol My sister and I tried the Hazelnut Truffle Mocha latte and it's delicious. I got the regular and my sis got the sugar free and loved it. The parking lots sufficient for now until other establishments come, but enjoy it for now. They have a walk up and order spot too. What can you say about Dutch Bros that isn't great? A good Dutch Bros Coffee is always a welcome pick me up. The Tulare Dutch Bros is no exception. I find staff is always friendly and happy to help with creating the perfect coffee for their customers. My wife and I love the Haselnut Truffle Mocha, especially half sweet and with an extra shot of espresso this drink is bomb! Going to Dutch Bros is definitely a time commitment as drive through lines are regularly long. Although there are some days where you can find shorter lines especially during the week. And you know you can always count on great Musik to accompany you through outdoor speakers as you wait. read more

Not to mention the drive-through is just as bad or worse due to cars crowding & cutting each other off to be served. I am a regular customer that goes to Dutch bros in Tulare CA every morning unfortunately I have had very bad experience here at this location every morning for the last 4 months, the service has been bad the employees are not coming out side to take our orders and build up big lines! i wait 20mins or more just to take my orders and when finally an employee comes out to take my order that same employee is at the register, I think it's unfair that one employee is always doing the work when you guys have a lot of employees on-site I see lazyness and no team work, I spend a lot of money at this location and all I want is my coffee and fast service how it should be. Today I asked a worker that that finally came out side to take our orders, and I asked her do you guys don't want to take orders out side any more? WORST experience I've ever had ordering coffee and WORST drink I've ever been served. I should note that I had very pleasant interaction at Dutch Bros in Crescent City where I got a hot chocolate, so it isn't the franchise. This was only the 2nd time I had been to a Dutch Bros, I was on a road trip with my roommate and he insisted this time I had to try the coffee. My order was a 16oz dark roast coffee with cream. That doesn't seem like a difficult order does it? I order by the ounces because I didn't know if they did their coffee in 8oz, 12oz, 16oz for small-medium-large or if the were 12oz, 16oz, 20oz for small- medium-large. So I figured the girl taking our order would know the cup sizes and pick the correct one medium or large. She was confused by the concept of ounces, she was also confused by asking for cream. I said half and half would be fine if they didn't have cream. She read back the order as a small iced coffee with cream. At no point did she ask if I wanted hot or iced coffee she just assumed I wanted iced coffee. I corrected her that I wanted my coffee hot and then asked if a small was actually 16 ounces? I pointed out it was 2 cups... this confused her further so my roommate chimed in that I wanted a medium to just give me a medium. A medium coffee with half and half. This was a 15 minute wait going through drive thru. When we got thru to the window the person handing out the drink handed out a "medium Americano with cream" I worked as a barista for 6 years. An Americano is a single shot of espresso with 6oz of hot water that can be similar to drip coffee, it however is not drip coffee. It became apparent why the ordering was so difficult they don't serve drip coffee, but instead of telling me that they don't serve drip coffee, only drinks made with espresso shots the girl taking the order decided to just make one up for me. If you don't have what I ordered tell me I WILL MODIFY MY DRINK ORDER NOT YOU. What's even more annoying is that for a 16oz medium drink to have the taste of a coffee you would need to add 2.5 shots of espresso. As I'm sure you can guess what I was served was 15oz of hot water with a single shot of espresso. So it was basically a massively watered down drink that was not an actually coffee or espresso drink. It was too hot to drink when I was handed it and because I worked for so long in the service industry, I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt that the person making the drink would know to add more than a single shot of espresso, so it wasn't until 10 minutes down the road that was able to take a sip. The kicker is despite requesting cream twice and being told there was cream in the drink when it was handed over they did not add any half and half. So all in a 20 minute hassle to be given hot piss water. Mind you if had been told they only do espresso drinks I would have just gotten a small latte. read more

I really like the coffee. The employees are very friendly and always positive which is a plus. Unfortunately, the employees definitely show they need better guidance by management. I have been to this site twice and it still lacked the proper customer service that is expected at a drive thru. I am greeted by friendly and cheerful employee who took my order, did not ask if I wanted my coffee hot or iced , and read my order back assuming it was iced. I told her I did not want iced coffee; I want it hot. Then I waited at least 15 minutes in the drive-thru line with other cars. My drink was still being made when I drove up to the window. I would understand the issue if there were maybe only two people, but I was really surprised there were about five employees working. There were no customers at the walk up window, so the lack of preparing the drinks in a timely manner is surprising if you have 5 people working. In addition, one of the employees who were not involved in making my drink came up to the cup and chose to add caramel into it. I asked for a decaf coffee with oat milk, nothing else. I cannot have sugar, so I asked them to make it again. Through it all, the employees were really nice and positive. Even though the employees are pleasant and have a positive attitude, they really need to understand what it means to work at the drive-thru. I am assuming morning customers are trying to get to work, so the employees need to pay attention to this as well as pay attention to detail.
