I ordered ahead of time about 10 min away from them but once I came here, the drive thru line was absurdly long. To top it even further, there was a crowd of folks waiting outside as well waiting for their drinks to come out so it seems like they're having some understaffing issue to keep up with the high demand unfortunately. After a good 30 minutes... the drinks were picked up and was satisfied with how them just like in other locations. Would I come back here? Unfortunately, I'm going to put a maybe as until they get their wait time settled, I wouldn't want to wait that long for coffee when I could go to other competitors with much lesser lines to wait at. Wanna start by saying I LOVE Dutch Bros. My husband and I ordered on the mobile app with a 30 minute lead time, which is both the time the app gave us and when we were set to arrive anyway, so we figured it would be perfect! I'll note - I did set it for drive thru when I meant to select pick up, and that's on me. But when we went to the window, they didn't seem to know there was an order under my name but they'd get on it. We waited a couple minutes and a guy came to the window to check in with us, we had to tell him the situation again, and then stepped back to the side. After about another 8 minutes or so we approached the window and were helped by the same guy who seemed like he completely forgot who we were and that we were waiting for anything. It took another couple minutes for our drinks to come out after that, so in total from ordering to getting the drinks it was about 45 minutes. This is the closest dutch to where im visiting. Drive thru takes forever not sure if theyre short staffed but ive never had to wait 20+ minutes in a normal/not busy dutch line. My strawberry horchata chai lacked taste & my husbands blended freeze was already half melted by the time we got it. There's only one person taking the orders in the drive-through line. It must be hard for the people working there. There was also lots of people walking up to order as well. Service was okay. I have never minded the wait or the price of the drinks because the product and the service is superior to the other chains. The Gilroy location has a red headed cashier with a nose ring who needs an attitude adjustment and some training in basic customer service. I ask for a medium cold brew with no ice and she says, "sure, just so you know there will be a little bit missing from the top." She makes a gesture of a small pinch so I said no problem and paid for the drink. I even left a $1 tip. When she calls out my name, the medium cup is less than half filled and she says, "is that okay?" I said, "not, really, can I have some more?" She says that is the amount they put in before ice so I said, "okay, what do I have to pay to get the full amount?" She yanks the drink from the tray and disappears into the back for a minute and comes back with a full cup of cold brew. She proceeds to say in a very condescending tone, "just so you know, it's called a cold pour when we fill it to the top and we charge extra." I said thanks and told her that she should have let me know that when I paid for the drink initially. EVERY other time I've been to Dutch bros and I've asked for a cold brew with no ice, they fill it to the top. I have never been told that it costs extra or that it's called a "cold pour." It's not a money thing, I don't mind paying extra, but I do mind bad attitudes and poor customer service when I've been a loyal customer for years.
