I don't even know how to start off this review. I am still in disbelief. I finished my appointment in tears! Tears of joy and complete shock as I have never, EVER in all the years I have been to a hairstylist could've ever imagined my hair looking this healthy and beautiful! I didn't even know my curl pattern could look like this! I spent months of research trying to find the right hairstylist because I have super PTSD from past experiences with my curly hair with stylist "acting" like they know what to do but in fact don't. This was the complete opposite of Dustin. I let Dustin know when I first got into his chair that I was nervous. He immediately sat down next to me and we discussed my hair goals for the day and the future. He encouraged that any questions I had during my session and after to not hesitate to let him know. And reminded me that he was just a text/phone call away. At that moment I knew I chose the right stylist. I scheduled for a curly cut, sun-kissed and hydration treatment. Roughly took about 2 hrs but sitting in his chair felt like 30mins. He truly has a beautiful soul that is infectious. He educated me on my hair washing/cond routine and how to effectively keep it hydrated, healthy and walked me through styling. For the styling he used two products...TWO! A curl cream and small amount of oil. For true curly hair peeps, you know that it usually takes way more than two small products to tame our crazy frizz. I still have no idea how he managed to tame all my hair and make it so beautiful with two products! He is truly a curly hair God! I never felt more beautiful, heard and seen than while leaving his chair yesterday. Any of my mixed haired ladies and men need a curly hair stylist. HE IS IT!! I promise you! Dustin did an incredible job with my hair. Honestly, it felt like one of the first times someone truly understood my hair. Cutting curly hair is one thing. Styling it is another. So often the cut looks fine, but the styling misses the mark, or I go home and wash it out because it's just not me. Dustin absolutely nailed both. He took his time, talked me through what he was doing, explained why certain choices made sense for my hair, and gave thoughtful product recommendations without pressure. Beyond the technical skill, he made the entire experience feel comfortable and intentional. I love Dustin so much I couldn't recommend him enough. He saved my hair which I had no idea how to care for, and has been the only stylist I will let near my hair for the last five years. I actually drive an hour to him since I moved and I won't get my hair done by anyone else. Went to get my hair cut again a couple weeks ago with Dustin and wanted to share an update! Good news - I still come to see Dustin :) This time in addition to my curly hair cut, I tried out the keratin treatment (which is also hydrating, so you don't need to book a separate hydra treatment) for the first time. After a few tropical vacays and trips my hair was feeling a little dry! My haircut was great as always and I am shocked (in a good way) how much this cuts the frizz and is helping my hair! I was worried it would be too much or that my hair wouldn't respond well but my fears were unwarranted. If you want to make your hair upkeep a bit easier and show your hair some love, I recommend trying the keratin treatment! And if nothing else, Dustin does great curly cuts that I feel are better priced than other stylists in the area :) read more

Dustin makes sure you are so comfortable the entire time you're in his hands, I've never had a haircut where I just knew from the beginning that I was going to love it but that is what happened here. As an East Asian with naturally curly/wavy hair, I grew up with little to no knowledge about how to style or take care of my hair and did Japanese straightening to my hair for over 15 years. After growing out my natural hair, I used various "curly girl methods" but found that many were not suitable for my hair type. It is on its way to being a cool spot. I wish I didn't have the worst haircut of my life here. He's expensive. Very misleading with pricing. Constant Ouidad upselling. He was late for my appointment. He was texting me at midnight. He tried to change the time on me to earlier or later. I wasn't available and eventually he kept my appointment time. So my hair... it looks like he parted it in the middle and then stuck a bowl on top for a layer guide. Immediately when he turned my chair to see the mirror my heart dropped. I was shaped like a rectangle. To get a normal shape I had to go somewhere else and loose inches to make up for the box he put on my head. $200 for an HOUR! I've never spent so much on just a haircut. I thought I was pampering myself. I know they say you can have the stylist fix it but why would I trust someone that messed up my hair at $200 an hour to then cut off more to fix it? Unfortunate lesson learned read more

Consultative from the start, he was already asking for photos of my hair before our meeting to get a sense of what my hair was like. This attention to detail really paid off when it came to the cut itself - he was able to achieve the exact look I was going for, adapting the style in the reference pic I showed him to fit my hair's unique texture and pattern.
