She took the time to truly listen to what I wanted, asked about my current routine, and discussed my hair concerns--what works and what doesn't. What really impressed me was how educational the experience was. While blow-drying my hair, Michelle explained what she was doing and why, giving me the confidence to recreate the look at home. I walked out with a fantastic cut, affirmation on the products I'm already using, and a recommendation for one new product that is going to be a game-changer for my naturally silver hair. Overall, a phenomenal first visit--I've already booked my next appointment!

I really wanted to like this salon. It is beautiful, they carry great products, and the appointment…read morestarted well. I booked online for $270 to get my roots done. No cut, just roots. At checkout, the total was almost $400 because of add-ons I was never told would cost extra. I had called ahead specifically to ask if they use Olaplex and was told yes. My stylist chose to use K18 instead. K18 and Olaplex can be used together, but she used K18 only, then I learned at checkout that I had also been charged extra for it. I was also charged $72 for a root shadow/smudge without being told beforehand. A root smudge takes a few minutes to apply and uses only a few dollars worth of demi-permanent color. I have never been charged separately like this at another salon. If a service is going to add that much to an advertised price, clients should be told and given the choice before it is performed. The communication was what really bothered me. When I asked why my temples were still dark after being highlighted, I was told I had waited too long between appointments, even though this was virgin regrowth and around when I normally get my hair done. Then when I questioned how a $270 appointment became almost $400, the receptionist told me that next time I should discuss pricing with my stylist beforehand. That was especially frustrating because I had talked to the salon. I booked a service with a listed price and called ahead with questions. So it wasn't great being told I should have done... what I did. In order for them not to take advantage? There was also a lot of upselling. My stylist kept recommending K18 products and an Oribe product, which I already use Oribe. When the Oribe product she recommended was out of stock, she suggested a completely different Oribe product instead, one I already knew does not work for my hair. That made the recommendations feel more sales-driven than like care. And after almost $400, I still have visible roots, dark temples, and a demarcation line. I asked for a neutral to warm blonde and specifically said I did not want cool or gray tones, but the new growth was toned noticeably cooler than the rest of my hair. After washing it, the few new highlights at the top also felt rough and I noticed some breakage. This is exactly why I had called ahead about Olaplex. Even with K18 and bleach with built in bond reconstructing you still need a bond reconstructor with bleach or hair gets rough in a few washes, I've been through this before and can literally tell lol. Felt fine out of the salon, one wash in, better than with raw bleach but definitely worse than with a bond reconstructor. K18 works differently, it's not enough on its own. Especially with one application. Practical note for anyone booking: parking is street-only. The meter app was not working when I went, and my stylist was actually really nice and ran out with my card to try to pay the meter for me. Unfortunately, I had already gotten a ticket within about 20 minutes. There is some free street parking farther back, but it is limited, so I would arrive early and look for that first. The photos are from the day of the appointment. My hair was styled nicely and they did not destroy it, so 2 stars, and everyone has an off day. But between the result, undisclosed charges, upselling, and the way concerns were turned back on me, I would not return.

Not once did she offer if I'd like another stylist , not once did she offer a real accommodation . Let's be real and hold accountability , because this second cancel the day of appointments, messaging me hours before on IG asking to move my appointment earlier to then canceling is WILD . Original : I know the stylists have their own way of booking or dealing with affairs apart of the salon but I think it's wild they have a rebooking fee of over $30 if client has to reschedule last minute their appointments BUT when I get my appointment canceled TWICE by the stylist ON THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT , due to "family emergencies" that apparently always happen. I think it's wild that a stylist can waste a clients time and day considering the first time it was canceled I had planned to get my hair cut before my birthday trip and today it got canceled I had just told my boss no to coming in for a shift because of my scheduled appointment ... what do we clients get in return besides wasted time and lost money ? At least she returned my $20 deposit that has been kept since August but damn , homegirl really needs to take care of home before taking appointments , we have a life out here too.

What just happened? I should've had my suspicions about this place the first time I went in for a cut. The owner, Desmond, had to stop during my cut to deal with an irate customer who was unhappy about her boyfriend's haircut, and also so he could fix another barber's work. My cut also took more than an hour, I appreciate a barber taking his/her time, but that's much too long. I booked a 10:30 a.m. appointment with Dart, and arrived 8 minutes early as he was working on another customer. At 10:45 I was about ready to give up as it appeared Dart would take much too long. Then I was approached by a young woman, who didn't give her name, but asked "Do you want me to cut your hair?" Because I was in a hurry I just answered "sure." I should've just left and rescheduled. As soon as I sat down I could tell she had no clue what she was doing with the tools in her hands. Desmond had to explain what kind of cut I wanted -- high and tight, taking a lot of the top -- and she spent the first 20 minutes(!!!!) with the clippers, applying a No. 2 trim to my sides and back. When I looked at my phone and realized it was 11:12 (Dart, by the way, was still with his customer) I knew it was time to leave. I informed my barber that I no longer wanted the top cut, just the sides and back, and she spent the next 15 minutes continuing with the clippers. There was just no way I was going to let this person use scissors on my hair. As she wrapped up, she took off my smock, which flung hair all over my legs. She then used a blow dryer to blow it clear away (still needed a shower when I got home). I paid for my clipped cut, left a generous tip, and left. It was 11:30. It should be said everyone was very polite, including my barber (who may or may not have the proper credentials). I'm just stunned that a) My 10:30 appointment wasn't kept, b) The person attempting to cut my hair displayed no confidence or authority with the tools, c) It took 45 minutes to get a clipper cut on my sides and back. I seriously can't recommend Chrissy enough! You can find her on IG at @hairbychrissycalma -- and trust me, she's the real deal. What I love most is that she treats every appointment like a fresh start. Even though I've seen her multiple times, she always checks in with how I'm feeling, if I want to try something new, and whether my hair needs have changed. It's like being a new client every time, in the best way. I've got thick, coarse hair that's usually a challenge to manage, and I never really know what to do with it. But the haircut I got from Chrissy has honestly made my life so much easier. It actually feels like my hair works with me now instead of against me. Also--she's super responsive on Instagram! I've asked her random questions over DM (like how to apply product properly or even how to wash my hair the right way) and she always replies quickly with helpful tips. It's that kind of support that makes her stand out. Plus, I really admire how she's constantly investing in her craft. I've seen her attend workshops and stay up to date on education--she's still a student in the best way possible, always learning and growing. If you're thinking about booking with her, do it. My friend recommended Steve Adkins, I read his reviews when he worked at the Studio O only to find out he relocated just a block away, read his reviews at Antonettis and they were still stellar. I was able to find his IG @StyledbySteveAdkins and DM'd him. I was impressed how quickly he responded and was very understanding and patient with my concerns. I went ahead and booked a consultation with him. I sat in his chair and his excitement and passion made me feel comfortable it made my hair trauma go away. We went with a lived in color balayage and it was so worth every penny. He even coached me on hair health and what I should be doing at home. Highly recommend Steve Adkins. read more

Its hard to find a good place to get faded up now a day, after going to Antonetti's the search is over. It is great to find a place that actually cuts hair as good as the pictures in the magazines. Jena Montez is awesome with a set of clippers, she didn't miss a single strand of hair, pin point precision. The staff there is extremely friendly, great customer service! Sara is a sweetheart, a real pleasure to be around! I just met Dez and he's a really cool guy, really approachable and down to Earth. Steve is really responsive if you want a haircut and will find time to fit you in even on pretty short notice. You do need to text him once you arrive to be let in but that's pretty easy. The space is cozy and if you're lucky, the salon mascot, Ozzy will be there to great you. Steve does a great job giving you exactly the haircut you need and there's free 2 hour parking in the lot next door. Highly recommend!

I'm not sure if it's her love for hair and color or if we just vibe so well, but she is just Fantastic! She takes the time to hear your hair inspo and goals and gives you her two cents on how to reach that goal in a healthy way for your hair. Her hands are truly magic. I've gone to her a few times and I'm always left loving the person I see in the mirror after I leave her chair! I have naturally curly hair too, so when i say Brenda knows how to keep your hair healthy and vibrant, with curly i mean it. There's not a lot of people with that sort of talent.
