Christy crushed this cut. I walked in with a "modern mohawk" vision and she brought it to life better than I expected. The fade is tight and clean, the blend is smooth, and the strip is perfectly sized--not too wide, not too skinny. What really stands out is how well she tailored it to me. The cut adds structure to my face without making it look longer, and the height in the front gives that "put together but still badass" look. It honestly changes my whole appearance in the best way. The front has that natural lift instead of stiff spikes, and the back tapers clean without looking overdone. It looks sharp from every angle and actually works in real life, not just in photos. I put in a lot of work researching a good stylist. so glad I did because Jennifer is a rare find! I'm super picky about my color, my hair loves to pull orange no matter what, but she nailed the ash brown touch-up and gloss. I got what I was hoping, a cool-toned ashy brown color, I love it! It just looks so good! My cut is also chef's kiss! my hair feels healthier and kinda bouncy :) On top of this, She's just lovely. Calm, sweet. No pushy vibe , or forced small talk, no upselling. Just moved to LA area and was pleasantly surprised with my new stylist Travis! Front desk was amazing as I was running behind due to a very bad accident less than a mile away. The team was accommodating and kind to ensure I got a fresh cut before the holidays. The gal was friendly, patient and welcomed me with a beverage upon arrival. He listened to my concerns about over-layering (I have fine hair and need all the volume I can get), bob shape (I prefer a more trapezoid shape over a rounded bob) and evenness (I haaaate when the back is longer and heavier than the front). Pretty disappointed with the communication with this salon. I've been looking for a bit for a local LB salon to start the process of going blonde. I wanted to make sure that the salon I picked had great reviews and also great stylists, so I could avoid a bleaching disaster. After looking through Instagram, TikTok, and Yelp, I ended up finding Salon Drew. It had stellar reviews and one specific stylist had a killer blinding review in early January. After reviewing, I decided to make a free consultation appointment with Abigail. She had great reviews, showed off the hair she's done, and already had good blonding reviews. My appointment was on a Friday at 2:30pm, so I hurried to make sure I wasn't late and actually ended up being 10 minutes early. I checked in with the salon and decided to sit on the couch in their waiting area. I waited 30 minutes and Abigail approached me apologizing for the wait. I mentioned it was no worries (hair is unpredictable) and she sat me in her chair for the consult. After asking thorough questions, we reached a mutual understanding of what I wanted to achieve. I mentioned how my hair health was priority and she recommended testing a small portion of my hair to see how the bleach pulls. I agreed and she cut off some of my hair from the back. She wrote an extremely reasonable quote for the blonding, which reaffirmed I made the right choice choosing Salon Drew and Abigail. Before leaving, she mentioned she would contact me or the salon would to follow up with how the hair test did and said if I had any questions, to hit her up on Instagram. I thanked her, told the front desk I'll be waiting for Abigail to contact me before making an appointment. I didn't hear back the rest of the afternoon, but I was under the assumption that the salon/Abigail ended up getting busy. I sent Abigail a message the next day via Instagram and thanked her for seeing me and asked how the hair test did. I received an automatic reply from her page mentioning to buy her Consultation Guide for $10. I received no reply. I sent another one on Tuesday, mentioning I was following up from my appointment and how the hair test did. She left me on Seen and just never responded after viewing my messages. Just disheartening that I did my research to pick a salon, stylist, and make an appointment and I couldn't get a response after two follow ups. read more

I had to find a new stylist after my old one burnt my hair off due to her being drunk. I've been growing it out for the past few months trying to get it healthy again. That experience completely traumatized me. It literally made my condition flare and put me in the hospital due to stress. Especially since it was a stylist who I called a friend. A very close friend After I decided my hair was healthy enough, I did some research. I even booked with a couple other salons before I decided this place was the one. (I just had a gut feeling) When I called the salon they asked if I could send over pics of my hair. They picked me being a good fit for Erin. They are located in the really built up new area by the hanger. It's a very nice salon. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the lighting was really pretty As soon as I walked in I checked in at the desk and the wonderful lady asked what I'd like to drink. And since it's cold out she can make me any kind of warm coffee. (I know, boring, I declined. I went with sparkling water). They have a beautiful drink area with spa water, little fridges and all types of glasses for the drinks. This area really is beautiful. The part where you wait is also this HUGE beautiful green couch. They have the drink menu everywhere which even included wine. Which is really nice to keep reminding clients they offer drinks So? How was Erin how ask? Turns out this was the circle of life and a karma moment. The ex friend / stylist who burnt my hair off because she was drunk, also burnt her hair off. And it turned out to be her EX assistant. SO, Erin is a great and well established stylist now and our ex friend lost me as a client and now I see Erin. Erin said I lift so fast I didn't even need to be under heat, but we decided to put me under light heat for 5 minutes (compared to me being forgotten about under heat at my old salon) I lost almost zero hair after getting it done here and she did a treatment to it. I didn't even lose the usual amount when getting your hair done. I literally lost zero hair and it felt great afterwards They have a nice long table to sit at with tons of books and plants while they roll the heat lamp over to you. Which is state of the art and not your old typical grandma style heat lamp I'm so glad I found this place and went with Erin. She also was extremely sympathetic to me not feeling good and kept asking what she could do and how she could tailor everything to fit my needs. She kept asking if I needed a break to get up and stretch, go to the bathroom and if I needed some Food. Seriously, Erin deserves 10 stars. My hair looks great The place is beautiful Erin was so pleasant They offer tons of drinks And all the staff was incredible It's located in a great area with tons of restaurants and other places Good parking They also have a few private bathrooms and nice large sinks. Very clean The manager even called me the next day to follow up with me to see how everything went and how I liked my service I also got a good amount of reminders for the appointment which I appreciate. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone Which I do not take lightly since it can be really upsetting losing your hair. read more

Lisa is probably one of the most unprofessional managers I've ever met in my entire life!!! so I've been coming to the salon for the last four years. Travis usually does my hair and he does amazing work. Never had any complaints about him. But when I had booked my next appointment, I booked with somebody new at the salon. She was the sweetest person ever, but her work was just something that I wasn't happy with. So I got in contact with the manager LISA to see what they can do about the problem, but the way that she handled things were so unprofessional. It literally made me cry. The first comment she had said to me was" can you stop calling the front desk and just email me" .. mind you I would not have to call the front desk if you she was replying to me at a normal timeframe.. secondly, she calls me and tells me that she has availability on Thursday to fix the issue. I get a call Thursday morning 30 minutes prior to my appointment. She tells me that the person that assigned to me her son got sick, Understandable since I'm a mother and I know how things go sometimes so I was not upset. I understood.. She told me that if I can come back at 2 PM and do it then and I told her I said I'm sorry but if you gave me a longer timeframe to be able to adjust this, I would have been able to, but because it's 30 minutes prior to my appointment I'm not make it at two & mind you I was already parked out front because I show up to every appointment a little early. I had told her that I was already outside, and she had questioned me and said " well why are you outside if your appointment is not for another 30 minutes?" In the most rudest tone ever. Mind you why is she questioning me about being early to my appointment if I want to be an hour early I'm going to be an hour early if I want to be 30 minutes early why are you questioning me? Anyways, so I walk into the salon. She comes up to me while I'm sitting in the chair and she walks up with a smirk on her face and was basically telling me that I was lying about what she had said to me. What do I get out of lying about what she had said honestly. I've spent a good amount of money at this salon , I should not been treated the way I was treated. And even if I was a first-time customer or returning customer, nobody should be treated the way that! LISA made me so uncomfortable while I was at the salon. In my opinion, LISA should be trained a little better because the way she treats people is not OK! She's a little too grown to act like a straight bratty child. read more

First things first, book your appointment with Travis! Before he became my stylist, I was with my previous stylist for 4-5 years and I loved my lady and she took really good care of my hair, but even when I was booking appointments with her, I feel like I wasn't committed to booking well in advance or schedule my next visit right away after seeing her. But ever since I started going to Travis and there's a wait I'm willing to wait and somehow now I have the confidence to book in advance or schedule my next visit right after seeing him which I never really did with anyone before. I first met Travis for a haircut and he was super kind from the start. When he was looking at my hair to see what condition it was in and what the best cut would be he had nothing but nice things to say on what my former stylist did, and never once did he ever talk down on her work. He was very professional and respectful. I have long thick hair and after Travis started cutting I could see all the layers and the added volume he created before he blow dried my hair. Because I loved how it all turned out, at the end of the visit I jumped on asking him about a future balayage. What I love most about Travis is that he's very talented and takes all the guess work out of it for me since I find it stressful and I don't like pulling up inspo pics or styles since it's not really my thing. I simply tell him what kind of shade I'm leaning towards or how much hair I'm willing to cut and he bounces ideas to me that complement my skin tone and face. He really makes my visits feel like I'm at a spa since I just get to rest and close my eyes because I have so much trust in him, and he's so focused on what he does that it's okay if there's not a whole lot of talking. I wanted to like my haircut SO much! My stylist, Sebastian, was fun to talk to and I enjoyed my visit. I showed him a picture of what I wanted, emphasized I do not like thick bangs especially because I have fine hair, I want to keep all the density I can. Turned around in the chair, he'd curled it and I thought it was cute. The bangs were pretty strong so I asked for one more layer to help them blend better. Then I got home and showered. My bangs are so dense, when I blow dry them they puff up like Princess Daisy. When I would cut my own bangs, I use maybe 1" of hair from my scalp, like the reference picture. These bangs go to the middle of my scalp, like 3" back. The picture I showed has her money pieces layering down to her chin, mine are cut above my cheekbones. She has fine wispy bangs and mine are like Dakota Johnson in The Materialist. It's just so unflattering I've been wearing the top layer of my bangs in a little clip until they grow out again. read more
