While I don't believe we will be using them moving forward I respect that they stand behind their work. Our former housekeeper moved so we recently had Purple Fig come in for an initial cleaning with the hopes of setting up a twice a month or bi-weekly service. We were quoted ~$280 per visit which was higher than our old housekeeper but seemed reasonable enough given they bring multiple people. They claimed the first clean was to bring things up to the "Purple Fig Standard" but when I got home after the cleaning I genuinely had trouble understanding what they did while in my home other than leave a candy cane on our kitchen counter. They don't do any laundry (even bed sheets/towels, not looking for a wash and fold service here) which is frustrating but I can somewhat understand given the time a laundry cycle takes. The most egregious offense was that they apparently also dont do any dishes . Again, i'm not asking for a post-Thanksgiving dinner cleanup here but we had a few pans and plates from last nights dinner in the sink and they didn't touch them. Overall, my wife and I struggled to understand what they really did to clean our home. When we decided not to continue with the bi-weekly service they then retroactively charged us $470 for the initial clean. For the price they charge not doing laundry or even tidying up the kitchen when there are a few dishes in the sink doesn't feel worth it. The best part of a cleaning service is coming home to a clean house that you can see and feel as soon as you walk through the door. With Purple Fig, I walked in to a house that felt like the cleaning service had to reschedule for another day

This was Friday late afternoon for a Tuesday cleaning. This was not the most competitive quote but given the scope we thought it would likely be done correctly based on the quote we were given. The staff was great to deal with in person and on the phone. The workers showed up and provided their own supplies and equipment. All surfaces needed to be wiped down, including blinds, fixtures, baseboards and floors vacuumed and washed. Also requested inside windows and bathrooms cleaned. Wow! Great job!!! The house needed a lot…read moreof cleaning and I discussed the specific items I wanted addressed with Barbie multiple times. Her team spent a day and a half at the house "cleaning". After we started to move in, we found the kitchen cabinets and drawers were not cleaned out and dishes from the previous owner were still in some of them. The dust and cobwebs on the walls and ceiling were a specific item I requested to be cleaned and they were not touched. The bathroom showers still had not been cleaned. The carpets were supposed to be steam cleaned but the small machine they used did no good. They didn't even vacuum up after using the steam cleaner. I'm extremely disappointed with the work they did and cannot recommend them to anyone. Rating would be 0 stars but it won't let me do 0.
