I moved into a new house in the La Quinta Cove, and wanted all the doors rekeyed. Their quote for the service call was super reasonable and their charge for each lock was excellent. Mr. Duran also gave me some excellent advice about how to most efficiently set it up. I just moved to the desert but I'd trust anything this guy says...He gave me the kind of service I most enjoy and rarely get....He promised he'd be there and he was, promised everything would work to my satisfaction and it did, and charged me exactly what he said he would....What were the chances? Thank you Mr. Duran! read more

I can't say enough good things about this shop! Today I spent 3 hours at Ford for Them to tell me they wouldn't be able to make my key! Told me to try Durans lock and key. When I got there The brother of the owner was very nice. Told me his brother was on a call but called to see how long he would be. I decided to wait since it had already been a long day trying to get the additional key. When he got there, he made my key in about 10 minutes and programmed it to my car. Not only was he fast and super nice and friendly but he was way more affordable than Ford. I will tell everyone how great the customer services was! read more

He was very friendly came and programmed our key to our new installled ignition switch. He was very affordable and even did a second key for same price. I already had the keys. He even gave me a discount because it was my second time calling him. Others were trying to charge me 600-800 dollars. read more

Amazing service! We were in a bad situation and we were treated with professionalism and care. Our new go to company! A true gem!

Albert Duran (owner/operator) was extremely helpful and personable. I had several issues to overcome and he did just that, returning access to my car & making two master keys at the same time! I highly recommend this local merchant for his mobile service as well! read more

Duran's Lock & Key - Albert Duran (owner) was very helpful and personable. Well I visited did him at his shop, he also makes house calls if you need him to! - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Coachella, California

Very nice gentleman re-keyed a new door lock I installed on my Honda Civic, to match my original ignition key. He was super knowledgeable in explaining everything to me, and did it fairly quickly and for the best price around. I'll definitely be returning next time I need a locksmith. read more

I had one locksmith come out to the house and say my lock couldn't be picked. I brought the lock to another locksmith who said it couldn't be picked. I was referred to Duran's to drill my lock out and replace it. He showed up about 30 minutes after my call, and through trial and error made a working key and opened the lock without damaging it. He will be my first call from now on and I'll be handing his business card out to friends after the excellent service I got. read more

Nothing but positive experiences with Duran, valley lock and safe used to be my go to but with astounding rates and excellent results I have opted to turn to this business for all my Smart key programming and key cutting services. With swift lockout response times and willingness to try when everyone else says it can't be done why would you go elsewhere. read more

We use Albert for our automotive business - he is the very best this side of Los Angeles. He is able to cut keys for almost any type of vehicle, whether it be a high security transponder or standard key. The price is always super competitive. Recommend him above all others. read more

These guys show up when they say they will. They are friendly and just want to help out. They were so helpful the first time, I saved their number in my phone, and called them back a second time because I was having trouble with my front door. They did not charge me their usual fee because they had already done some work on that lock for me. Only for the part they replaced. Would be very comfortable calling them again if I need any more work done in the future. read more

Called right at opening and was able to get right in. Trust worthy and quick. Needed a key made for my car door due to losing it. Even made me an extra one. Losest prises around. read more

I called Albert last night as my son's key for his 1993 Toyota pickup had broken off in the ignition. Albert came right out and within 30 minutes had the broken piece out and had crafted a new key from the 2 pieces. He is a Master locksmith! We didn't think it could be done. Thank you so much Albert. You are AWESOME at what you do. We will definitely recommend you in the future. read more

Albert was contacted by another locksmith who could not accommodate my emergency at the time I called. He came all the way to Palm Desert and provided efficient, courteous service. Highly recommend. read more

The Palm Springs home I bought had been a rental, so we had no idea how many people had keys to the place. My real estate agent recommended Duran's Lock & Key, and I'm so glad he did. Albert showed up on time, and got straight to work. He helped me decide what I needed, and didn't try to up-sell me on anything unnecessary. He walked around with me at the end while I tested each lock, and made sure everything was working properly before he left. The price he charged was exactly what he'd quoted me on the phone. I feel much more secure now, and I would definitely recommend Duran's Lock & Key to others. Great work! read more
