I will say this. I live locally and use this Lock Shop often. Every single time I walk in the front door, nobody says hello, acknowledges you, greets you or asks if they can help you. They sit behind the counter, stare at you, and expect the customer to know exactly where to go and who to ask for. It is very very uncomfortable. You would think for what they charge to cut a key or provide service, they could at least make the customer feel welcome. Say hello. Ask, can they help you. Ask what you need. Something. If I could leave zero stars I would. $250 for a tech to come out and when they arrive, they give me a BS quote to change something for $1,100 when it should be less then $300. Had another company come out for $89 and TURNS OUT THE LOCK DOESN"T EVEN NEED TO BE CHANGED! LET ALONE THE REPACLMENT COST WAS LESS THEN $300. CROOKS!!! They're really nice and I feel sort of bad writing a negative review They put new locks & door knobs ($360) on my back gates on Friday & by Tuesday one does not work. Pool man, garbage, AC, and my family cannot get into our own house. I called, and they would try to get someone here if not today, tomorrow. We just had service by technician, Randy. One of our bedroom doors had a faulty door knob that was approximately 30 years old. Despite our best efforts, we were not able to open the door and thought that we would possibly have to get a new door or damage our door. However, Randy was able to quickly open the door and replace the door knob with a knob that best matched the other knobs in our home; they no longer make the current door knobs we have given their age.He ensured that we had the small key/device to open the door in the case that is locked. He made sure we practiced opening it so we felt comfortable unlocking the door. He was quick, professional, and cleaned up all of the excess/old parts. My deadbolt was a little sticky with locking & unlocking, so I called lock shop. The locksmith arrived in 30 minutes after the call-fast. The lock worked well for a week, and then it will not work at all now. I was told no guarantee & deadbolt did not need replacing . Locksmith was quick & friendly. Front door knob and lock were wobbly and loose. Lock Shop guy came, tightened some screws and went extra mile of tightening hinges & a doorstop since the 'repair' had only taken five minutes. Two hours later, the inside lock doesn't turn to lock properly when the spouse returns from work. Lock Shop pleasantly agrees next day to send someone back to complete repair at no cost. Same locksmith returns and has an odd chip on his shoulder and says well, the lock worked when I left, someone must've done something to it. This screw is missing. I wouldn't have done that, someone must've done something. I told him I was taking offense at his inference that we damaged or abused the lock. "No, no, not saying that, didn't mean to offend..." And then he'd go down the same path of wanting to absolve himself of not having done the original repair correctly and imply we had messed with the lock trying to repair it ourselves since he'd been here. Every time he'd tried to "clarify" himself and how he meant no offense he'd circle back to the inference we'd done something to the lock to CAUSE it to malfunction. This became one of the more bizarre services experiences of my life. Looks like I can pick out which other negative reviews here involve this same locksmith, I see the same a similar pattern in the behavior. read more

Absolutely Great Service ! Keys made while you wait. I've been here many times, just never had the time to write a review. Stopped there today, to get keys made for our New entrance door. I needed something personal also. coming from Detroit, Michigan, to Palm Springs, I had some VERY EXPENSIVE JEWERLY, "STOLEN" from TSA. YES I KNOW IT WAS TSA !!! But there is NO WAY TO PROVE IT ! So with Steve's help I just bought a small chain and two locks with keys. This way I can lock up my medications and what I have left of my jewelry. Attach it to my purse. Front door lock was not working. My tech Randy arrived on time, worked quickly, and he first tried to see if we just needed to replace a mechanism inside the lock unit, and not the have to replace the whole thing. I of course would not know the difference. Randy was able to replace just one part and the whole thing worked perfectly. He then asked what else, and I showed him my side garage door lock that had gotten bent in one to many high wind door slams, and he replaced those plates too, again, working very quickly.
