I would give ZERO STARS. UNBELIEVABLY UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE AND A RIPOFF TO BOOT. First he replaced my front door lock and the door didn't lock completely so that when I came home from taking care of my grandmother for two days my house door had swung open. It's a very big door so my house was completely exposed during Christmas. I drive home to a completely open house. I had noticed the door had opened before I left but assumed I hadn't shut it. So when I left I was extra careful and made sure to lock it carefully. Like I said, THE LOCK DIDNT CATCH AND THE DOOR WAS COMPLETELY OPEN. this was only half the problem.
In addition, I had asked to have my lock replaced he said he could only get me an entire new fixture , so instead of fixing the lock I had which matched my house, he got a mismatched fixture which didn't look good on my mid century door. Not a big deal, but when he returned it was explained that he could have used the original fixture I had and when I told him this and that I didn't want the one he sold me he refused. I had to pay an additional 100 hundred dollars PLUS THE.L COST OF HIS CRAPPY DOOR FIXTURE to get my lock back and working. This after his original lock DIDNT EVEN WORK. He said he explained it correctly, but I'm fairly sure he didn't and even if not it's very bad service. He said he would take 30 percent off my bill but he would still charge me the full amount for my old lock to be replaced PLUS 30 dollars to return (without refunding anything of the previous lock that didn't work.) clearly he just wanted to sell me his tacky lock that cost me another 100 dollars.
So when I called to tell him my front door was completely open for god knows how long because the one he installed didn't lock he still didn't offer to replace the lock complimentarily. I paid him yet ANOTHER 108 DOLLARS because clearly I'm a pushover and also I simply didn't want to tolerate him being there any longer. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Like I said he argued and said of course he explained what he was doing and the pricing, but I can assure you that wasn't the case. My house is a mid century wexler and I wanted to keep the original fixtures and would have paid 15 extra dollars to keep them. I'm sure he simply wanted to charge me for the extra lock that didn't A) match my house or b) or work at all. Unbelievable.
I've called them years before and they were always great, likely they have a new person who is NOT GOOD. Do not trust these people. read more
