Amazing service and incredibly skilled staff. Jamie and Nick truly impressed me today. I live 120 miles from here, I came over do some work at our family home and forgot to bring a storage tool shed key. My son sent me a picture of the key I forgot to bring. Jamie and Nick made me a copy " from the picture " and it worked on the first try. I must say I don't impressed easily, but these two master technicians made my day. They didn't charge for the key unless it worked. Of course I will be back there tomorrow to pay them for their excellent service. This place is a gem. read more

Had to get a backup key made for my car. When I went in they had to order the key fob and said that they'd call back when it came in. About a week later they called back and got it all programmed fairly quickly and affordably. For a programmed key fob it was around $217. For a basic house key copy it's around $3.22. i needed a new two sided deadbolt and separate dual lever door lever for the street access through our gate to the front patio and front door. I had already replaced twice the "bronze" variety - the first from Loews and the second from Home Depot. After 4-5 years in the hot sun, both were functioning poorly but they looked awful. What the box stores consider to be 'outdoor class' just won't cut it out here in the heat. So we went into the Valley store in Indio where Nick and Randy listened carefully and proposed a commercial quality stainless steel solution, that are firm in your hand, not the light weight version. Two days later, another Nick came to our home, installed and keyed the lock to our home key, and produced a couple extra keys that allowed the gate to be unlocked, but could not open the doors to the house. Very clever. So now, the landscaper and the pool guy can have access through the gate, and we can use our normal key to enter without worrying about anyone else accessing the house. Randy did a great job for me. I went to the Subaru dealership for a replacement key for my 2006 Outback. They wanted $17 for the blank security key and $65 to cut it. I bought the blank and brought it to Randy. He cut it in two minutes for free and it works perfectly. I also bought the key fob from the Dealership and found a YouTube, so I can program it myself. read more

Initially, I went to 2 reputable business to have 3 (blank custom keys) made for my 1956 classic car but neither business was able to make them, they were afraid to damage the blank keys and both places told me that their computers couldn't read them. They did not want to even touch them. So, a friend of mine recommended me Valley Lock & Safe locksmith in Indio. I called them and Richard F. answered me, he told me not to worry, to stop by and he that would try his best to help me. What a hidden treasure! The guys at Valley Lock & Safe are awesome, especially Richard Ferriera, the store manager. Brought him my lock, which was damaged by one of the vendors. He tried to fix it for me, but I didn't have all the parts. He was able to get me a better lock, with a longer shackle, which was double the cost of my original lock, but he insisted on being more than fair and gave me a great discount, rekeyed my new lock with a key retain- feature and I was on my way.
