We visit the desert intermittently and had wanted some new cabinet locks installed for a while. This would entail picking the old locks to deactivate them, then installing new locks. Jeff's prices were better than most, and based on his cheerful demeanor and fast response time, I wanted to work with him. He even gave me knowledge on the right kind of hardware to get for this application, keeping my costs down! But, our appointment was deferred by his van breaking down or needing urgent service. "Ok", I thought, "this is a discretionary item for me and can wait. Show some compassion". On our next visit, several months later, I called him again and left a voice message. He returned my call within a few hours and we agreed on a mutually-agreeable time. He mentioned discounting my quote because of my long wait to be serviced. He showed up on time and completed the task promptly. On completion, I asked what I owed him and he quoted me for so little that I told him "no, it has to be higher". I was locked out of my bathroom (of all things), due to a push lock on the inside of the door that I didn't even know existed. Knowing zero about locks, I tried a credit card, various knives and gave up. I resigned myself to shelling out serious cash as a service fee for a locksmith just to come out to our place. I called ASAP Lock Specialist and Jeff returned my call right away. He was so nice, didn't laugh at me as I guessed someone might have, and told me via phone exactly what to do to open the door. Granted it was an easy fix, but he could have easily insisted he come out, forced me to pay the travel fee (most were $70+) and then fixed it. Late night home lock out - what to do? The 'victim' was actually our neighbor. Seemed her touchpad electronic lock may have dead battery. Jumped online to search for local locksmith (10pm) and out of many possibilities, was LUCKY to have selected ASAP Lock Specialist.
