We visit the desert intermittently and had wanted some new cabinet locks installed for a while. This would entail picking the old locks to deactivate them, then installing new locks. Jeff's prices were better than most, and based on his cheerful demeanor and fast response time, I wanted to work with him. He even gave me knowledge on the right kind of hardware to get for this application, keeping my costs down! But, our appointment was deferred by his van breaking down or needing urgent service. "Ok", I thought, "this is a discretionary item for me and can wait. Show some compassion". On our next visit, several months later, I called him again and left a voice message. He returned my call within a few hours and we agreed on a mutually-agreeable time. He mentioned discounting my quote because of my long wait to be serviced. He showed up on time and completed the task promptly. On completion, I asked what I owed him and he quoted me for so little that I told him "no, it has to be higher". I negotiated my bill up to make it fair for both of us! In a world full of profit-maximizing "emergency locksmiths charging emergency rates", it's refreshing to find a small business like ASAP and Jeff that is responsive and understands that his pleasing customers is the right metric for success. No wonder this guy gets 5 -stars! He is compassionate and affordable. Go nowhere else before talking to ASAP! Will use again without hesitation. read more

Wow is all I can say. Look no further for your Lock Specialist. I found Jeff on Yelp and was very impressed with all the positive reviews. I called him, left a message and he called back shortly after. We had a tenant in our unit and our front door lock wasn't working. We set up a time and confirmed it with out tenant. He showed up promptly, called me to let me know what needed to be done then went to work and completed the job. Our tenant texted me after he left to let us know what a great guy Jeff is. Thank you Jeff for doing business the right way! We will definitely be calling you anytime we need assistance. read more

Jeff was punctual, friendly and delivered outstanding service for the price paid. I needed a mailbox key replaced and he did it the same day and at a reasonable price too. I was locked out of my bathroom (of all things), due to a push lock on the inside of the door that I didn't even know existed. Knowing zero about locks, I tried a credit card, various knives and gave up. I resigned myself to shelling out serious cash as a service fee for a locksmith just to come out to our place. I called ASAP Lock Specialist and Jeff returned my call right away. He was so nice, didn't laugh at me as I guessed someone might have, and told me via phone exactly what to do to open the door. Granted it was an easy fix, but he could have easily insisted he come out, forced me to pay the travel fee (most were $70+) and then fixed it. Companies that offer help without a charge are likely, in my opinion, pretty rare. Needless to say, I recommend Jeff and ASAP Lock Specialist in Palm Desert. read more

I have personally used Jeff three times and he was professional and went beyond expectations each time. Jeff also gave us some interesting history of medieval locks and how little they have changed over the ages until the electronic age. ASAP was able to change the locks of our home, our mail box and a security safe that could only be accessed through key. In each instance, we were given an estimated time of arrival and a very reasonable price. read more

Jeff showed up on time and very professional and quick. He also was far more reasonable in price than the others. Very refreshing in this day and age of everyone trying to take as much money from you as they can. Ignore the other locksmiths and call Jeff. read more

Jeff was very quick to respond to my request for service. He gave me an appointment the very next day and arrived precisely on time! Late night home lock out - what to do? The 'victim' was actually our neighbor. Seemed her touchpad electronic lock may have dead battery. Jumped online to search for local locksmith (10pm) and out of many possibilities, was LUCKY to have selected ASAP Lock Specialist. JEFF spent time on phone with us, attempting to trouble-shoot but in end, a service call was required. As the name implies, Jeff came right over (ASAP!), gained entry through a back door (traditional deadbolt) then proceeded to install new battery to malfunctioning electronic keypad on front door. Jeff has a most delightful personality and certainly knows his business. Then he pulled out his smart phone, attached a tiny plug-in, swiped credit card and instanly completed payment. Very slick. HIGHLY recommend Jeff if you ever need locksmith service, ASAP! read more

Jeff was punctual, polite, knowledgeable and did a great job; I thoroughly recommend him.

My courtyard gate lock was a problem, recently the key wouldn't work most of the time. I phoned ASAP Lock Specialist after a friend highly recommended him. Jeff, the owner, arrived on time, established that the cylinder was warped because the metal was flimsy; he replaced it with a new cylinder and now it works perfectly, there was no reason to purchase a new lock and have new keys made which was good news. I highly recommend him, he was professional, friendly, and his price was reasonable. I am thoroughly pleased. read more

I had an exterior door, key lock and dead bolt that needed to be changed. The locks needed to be re-keyed so my current key would make it work. Jeff showed on time and his work was excellent. Price was competitive. Work was completed quickly. I will use Jeff again. read more

I called Jeff because one of the bathroom doors in our vacation rental was locked from the inside and we could not get in. Not only did Jeff come right out to the property, find the issue, and fix/unlock the bathroom door, but he also took it upon himself to check the remaining door locks with similar problems and fix those as well. Very affordable, friendly, professional, and honest! Will definitely be our go-to if we ever need another locksmith in the future. Thanks Jeff! read more

Jeff is as good as it gets when it comes to your locks, keys and security. He is knowledgeable, well equipped, prompt and courteous. He had the key-less lock I was looking for and installed it the same day. The other shops I visited would have taken at least a week to order the same lock, and it would have cost quite a bit more. Thanks Jeff!! read more

The lock on my patio sliding door would not lock. I called at least 2 locksmiths before calling ASAP, and each was quick to tell me I would have to call a sliding glass door company. Luckily, my next call was to ASAP. Jeff patiently listened to my description of the issue and agreed to check it out. Not only was he an hour earlier than we scheduled, he figured out the problem ASAP. Perfectly named service! And Jeff was an absolute pleasure. I would not hesitate to call ASAP again (hopefully I won't need to), or recommend ASAP and Jeff. Thanks much! BTW, this is my first ever review--that's how pleased I was! read more
