Stopped here on my birthday for a breakfast burrito. The burrito was almost all egg which meant it was very flavorless. They got the other ingredients wrong and barely put any other ingredients in there. I'm not one to enjoy eggs Benedict but I had some off my moms plate and it was really good. The chicken is air fryer to perfection, not greasy but still delicious. I'm kind of a donut snob. We went here because my great aunt (88!) loves their lemon filled donuts. So we got a couple of those for her. I got a cinnamon twist, which was kind of tough. The chocolate frosted raised donut was pretty good, though. Hubby said the blueberry old fashioned was really good, but his buttermilk bar was just okay, We both enjoyed the chocolate cake donut. read more

Typically love their stuff but this is a sad excuse for a poppyseed bagel. It's like a plain bagel got cooties from a neighboring poppyseed bagel. The bagel wasn't bad, just definitely not a poppyseed one. read more

Inside is very clean. Wait staff are all wearing masks and gloves and all are friendly. When you first walk in, they have glass cases full of donuts and other pastries. They will even fill any donut you want. To skip the fresh pastries and do dine-in, head off to the right and stand in line. Once seated, wait staff is attentive and helpful. I ordered the oatmeal cooked with water and two sides of fruit (comes with one). My oatmeal came out as ordered and had three little sides of raisins, walnuts and brown sugar. My waitress apologized for the fruit not being ready quite yet but that it would be done soon. The oatmeal was cooked well and tasted good with the extras added. I was done with my oatmeal (portion was about 1.5 cups) before the waitress noticed my fruit had not come out yet. She apologized and wanted to know if she should take it off my bill and skip it or if I still wanted it. I still wanted it. About 5 minutes later the fruit cups were served and waitress told there would be no charge due to the length of time waiting to get them. The fruit was cold and served in bite sized pieces and well worth the wait. All fruit was fresh and firm: Blueberries, Sliced strawberries, pineapple, cantaloupe and grapes. Came in for a morning bite with the family, previously my husband had been here and said it was good so we decided to give it a go! Walked in and it was not busy.. we told the girl standing at the register we were going to sit in the back she told us that was okay soon after the host told us we were not allowed to seat ourselves and that we should have read the sign, OK! Our fault for not following the sign and telling the girl at the register what we were doing.. she told us she would make an exception for us seating ourselves as they weren't busy.. we proceeded to order drinks while waiting we had looked at the menu for what we wanted to order soon we received our drinks and waitress did not come back to take our order as there was no one else there... after waiting for awhile we decided to just get the check and not even bother eating there. My husband went to their front pre made burritos and grabbed one.. moral of the story.. bad service and kinda crappy attitudes! Not to mention the waitress was arguing with the cook at the window about how many times a muffin was toasted. Quite comical. Don't come here if you have any sort of schedule or care about decent service you'll just get a chip reader thrown at you to pay for over priced drinks and a burrito! read more

I was vacationing in Durango and needed somewhere to grab some quick breakfast during my stay. Durango Doughworks satisfied that need wonderfully. Service was quick and the food and coffee were good. Great place for breakfast. The food is top notch. I had oatmeal and it came with a side of walnuts, brown sugar and raisins. Also had whole wheat toast which in most places is barely brown white bread, this was real whole wheat! The fresh fruit was super fresh with berrries, melons, grapes and pineapple. Fabulous find in Durango. We got there early before catching the morning train ride. The staff was covid safe and the restaurant had plenary of room between tables. The waitress was outstanding with her service and recommendations. We had the blueberry pancakes (based on her recommendation) biscuits and gravy and the sweet potato hash with scrambled eggs and goat cheese. All of it was amazing so flavorful and fresh. The donuts here are absolutely awesome! So if you are just wanting donuts this is a must. The breakfast/lunch is just OK. I have ordered something with porch eggs twice now and each time they come way way way over cooked. The sausage had a great flavor but was extremely dry and overcooked. My hubby got a Cuban sandwich and it was very bland. The last thing that was a bummer is they do not make any Sugarfree specialty coffee's, which is unfortunate for those of us who don't do sugar but would like something nice to drink. Great customer service, very clean, and delicious food. Our table had the potato skillet, the country fried steak breakfast, pancakes kids meal, Bird in the nest kids meal, and A breakfast burrito along with five donuts. I've always been a fan of Doughworks, especially their breakfast burritos. Their new owners have really stepped up their Dine-In Service over the last year. This is one of the best breakfast spots in Durango now for sure! They have some traditional Mexican breakfast dishes that you can't get anywhere else in town- Chilaquiles and Huevos Divorciados, both of which are on point. read more

I never, ever order restaurant gravy. The menu said "made from scratch sausage gravy". I did decide to try it. To my utter amazement this was, hands-down the best breakfast gravy I've had in a restaurant. I will come back for breakfast again but will insist on extra gravy. It could have been my entire meal. I asked for a filled long john, and while their long johns are normally unfilled, the cashier girl filled mine upon request with a choice of custard or jelly. The long john ended up being mediocre--nothing truly spectacular as the custard could've been sweeter and denser in flavor and the maple glaze was not as heavy as I'd prefer. However, their honey bun doughnut was stellar and I could definitely eat multiple in a sitting!
