The owner serves more than just the Oakley area - he told me he serves the Bay Area and he gave us an estimate for our bathroom and kitchen which was very affordable and if you look at the website you'll see lots of the work he's done - both inside and outside! I highly recommend Chris the owner, because he does excellent work he's always punctual and he cleans up after himself.... always. I never have to remind him of anything. I contacted Chris to give an estimate on doing my downstairs tile because he had good reviews and was a local. He was quick to reply and came out the same week to do measuring. When he left he said he would get back to use in a few days. The encounter was polite and normal. Two weeks went by without a call/e-mail. I like to give folks the benefit of the doubt, perhaps he had a large work load or something happened where he couldn't get back to me as timely as he would have liked. So I called him and left him a voicemail with my information again because I thought maybe he had the wrong e-mail or something. Another week went by, still nothing. This is my 2nd review of Chris and his **AMAZING** work. Please see my previous review dated 5/6/20 when Chris completed a remodel of my shower which turned out beautifully. Then, he came back to finish remodeling my 2 bathrooms, including bath + hallway floors + baseboards. Before and after pictures are attached to this review. As you can see from the 'before' pics, I had a pretty gross original 1970'ish bathroom situation going on. Well, Chris turned that mess into a complete masterpiece that is beyond what I could've hoped for. I LOVE IT!!! He was so patient waiting for me (for months and months) to pick out and order all the materials. And then he proceeded to drive over an hour each way to complete my remodel. Additionally, he was having to deal with me (working remotely from home), my 4 teenagers, 5 cats, and 1 very obnoxious dog. I cannot be more appreciative! I have owned 5 homes over the last 20 years and it is very difficult to find a good, reliable contractor. Much less one that has such an incredible attention to detail, like Chris does. Everything that others have said is true. Chris just completely re-did both of my bathrooms, including creating a custom shower pan and tiling the walls and floors. He was diligent, communicative and very detail oriented. I'm pretty picky, and he checked with my about layout issues and other decisions throughout the process so that there was no question that I had the work done to my liking. He was helpful when it came to suggestions on what would look best (and was right on every time). Moreover, Chris is a nice, trustworthy, reliable guy and I had no concerns about leaving him alone in my home while my husband and I were at work. He was not the cheapest bid but it was totally worth the little extra money to have his help. My only criticism; he likes to start his work day bright and early, so there was no sleeping in for those 2 weeks, lol! My husband and I had Chris do the tile on the floor, and in the shower in our guest bathroom, and floor tile in our Master bath. I really cannot say enough good things about him and his work. He is very conscientious about his work, really amenable and he was patient working around my 3 kids who would try to ask him questions. I would not hesitate to recommend him or his work. My parents are even planning on calling him about their bathroom renovations. One thing, specifically, was a breath of fresh air, is that he when he spoke about the work, he spoke to me exactly like he spoke to my husband. I am so used to these older workmen who, because I'm a women, are pretty condescending or are just creepy to have in your home. Chris is non of those. He helped to talk through ideas with me, he was super quick in responding to my emails about the job and ideas I had about the tile or vanity etc. Such a nice guy! Excelenent service! What is excellent service? One; answer the phone when a customer calls. Chris answered right away. Two; make an appointment committment on the spot. Chris offered to come the next day to do the job. I wasn't availble so we worked out a time for a couple days later that was convienient for me. Three; show up and show up on time. He was there at the appointed time on the dot. Four; come prepared to do the job. He had all the needed tools, materials and he allowed enough time to complete the job. No excuses. No running to the store for something. No problems! Chris' craftsmanship was also excellent. This was a minor tile job, about 10 square feet in a shower surround. It had to be spaced and positioned to match the adjacent existing tile. It was perfect. He's clearly very skilled. He was polite and personable. He listened carefully when we discussed what I wanted.
