Our first experience with Brian was a few years ago when I asked him for an estimate to repair our hardwood flooring that was failing from a poor installation. He advised us to NOT spend the money and take the time to make the repair that would continue to get worse. Brian has done 2 awesome jobs for us over the last 18 months. Job 1 was in summer of 2020 and involved patching and refinishing red oak hardwood floors in 2 bedrooms in our home. One of the rooms was converted to a home office due to the COVID crisis. The floors had been covered in carpet for many years until our kids moved out. Brian did an excellent job matching the wood, installing it professionally, and finishing it to where the stain and color matched the existing exposed hardwood down the hallway, and in the den, living and dining rooms. The price was super reasonable and there were absolutely no issues with the install. Job 2, (just completed in March, 2021) involved installing all new red oak hardwood that matched the existing floors from above in a master suite addition that had carpet before. Same results, excellent job done at a reasonable price within a reasonable time. He is quite busy so you have to be prepared to wait a month or two to get on the schedule, but once he started our jobs he worked straight through until the job was done. Brian was always on time and respectful of our time and he is very easy to get along with. He is a genuinely nice person who obviously cares about his customers and the quality of his work. My floors look 10x better than I expected and cost about 10x less than I expected. Brian and Ian did an amazing job! The job consisted of sanding and refinishing about 600sqft of red oak that had been covered by carpet since the 70s. I was nervous that it wouldn't be possible because some of the boards were looking really beat up and rotted. And there were two step noses that had been busted due to lack of subflooring underneath. When I got the quote I was pretty shocked. I thought that, due to the damage, this was going to be a $5k job. The quote was for slightly over $2k! The job took about a week to do and I was able to learn a lot about sanding and refinishing floors in the process. Brian and his nephew Nico just completed the refinishing of my 1948 red oak floors. The floors were in really rough shape and now they look absolutely gorgeous and perfect. Also, Brian replaced all the baseboards and added moulding around the fireplace to fill in the little gap where it meets the hardwood, so everything looks really nice. The whole house has a fresh, modernized feel for very little money (considering the work involved) and much less dust than I expected :))) He was responsive, friendly, detail oriented and professional throughout the project. He patiently answered all my questions and explained what was going to happen each day. The thing I like best about him is that he has a positive, can-do attitude and sense of humor (which helps, because let's face it, it's pretty stressful to go through this process). My husband and I felt completely comfortable having him and Nico in our home while we were at work (we lived for those two weeks in the carpeted family room with most of our stuff and the 2 cats, ugh!). Brian is a great guy, fair business owner, and skilled craftsman. After 15 years of raising a family in a small house, our hardwood floors showed the wear. I wasn't expecting much improvement but within in just a few days he and his team made the floors look new. Brian even fixed some water damage flooring (that I created trying to remove the fridge).
