I have had Jake do a number of jobs at my home (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, sheetrock, painting) for several years. The work was always performed beautifully. On Tuesday, 1-14-23, during the big rain and wind storm, a huge pine tree in my front yard fell on my house. It broke a number of holes in my roof, and a large branch broke though my living room wall. It was a total mess. Jake and his helper came out and assessed the damage, got the necessary supplies, repaired the redwood siding on the outside, the sheetrock inside, textured and painted everything all in one day. My husband and I came home one evening to a flooded bathroom and hallway from a broken hose under a bathroom sink. After dealing with the water damage service and then waiting for the adjuster to come out and give us their estimate we were eager to find a contractor/handyman to get our bathroom back in order. We had three estimates and Jake was the most reasonably priced and had a humble attitude. He was reliable and quick to respond. Jake sent us an estimate within a day or two. He was patient with us when we kept asking different questions and asking for the estimate to be broken down into sections so that we could decide what we were going to have him do and what we might do ourselves. Because he was so reasonably priced we ended up having him do all of the work including tearing down all of the wallpaper, mudding, texturizing and painting the walls. He also reinstalled the vanity and sinks and installed luxury tile vinyl flooring. He also patched the sheetrock in the garage ceiling from the water damage on the floor above. Him and his partner Jeff always checked with us before they did anything out of scope or to check our preferences. When our flooring didn't arrive on time, he worked us into his schedule to come back the following week to finish up. It did take a few weeks to get on his schedule but it was worth the wait and just proved that he was busy with projects because he was good at what he does.
