We hired Ramon and his team to paint our house exterior and could not be more pleased with the results and entire experience start to finish. Ramon and his crew were exceptional. Upon receiving my Yelp request for quote he came by and put together a proposal. We got a total of 4 quotes, Ramon's was not the least or most expensive. His crew started within 2 weeks after a short rain delay. Their work included pressure wash and repair, prep, 1 coat prime and 2 coats paint. The week before getting started I picked out my colors from Benjamin Moore and he picked up samples and put them up on the house. His crew came on time every day and the job took 3 whole work days plus some time before and after for the smaller stuff. They really earned their money. I love these guys! So let me say this the idea to paint my room (10 x 14ft) was a bit of a last minute decision I got the estimate Friday and they were able to come out Thursday and get the room all painted and dried in one day. Meza painting really went above and beyond the price was higher than that other quotes I got (Around 400/500) where this one was $1,200. But I am so happy I went with them. So they were able to come earlier than expected on the day of; and had the room set up and ready to paint within the hour. They did a whole workup of the room from the window seal, to re-texturing the wall, the ceiling, and baseboards, even the door, and frame! The workers were even kind enough to polish my door handles, and cover plates around the room as well as helping me install my new blinds and fan! Yep, you heard right they helped with that and I couldn't be more peached about it. A 26-year-old room looking as good as new all the cracks fixed and sealed up nicely you'd never know anyone even lived in this room beforehand. Trust me when I say hiring these guys will not be a disappointment it was worth every penny. I use to do all my own interior painting because (a) I actually use to really love to paint and (b) I don't like to waste my money on things I can do myself. Can I rewire my house - No. Can I brush some paint on a wall - Yes. That said, I am much busier than I use to be and it was worth it for me to pay someone else to paint four interior rooms of a small apartment prior to listing it. A neighbor recommended Meza Painting having used them herself for many years. While based out of San Leandro they work all over the East Bay; particularly in the Berkeley area due to their extremely high ratings on BPN. I worked with the owner Ramon and he could not have been more accommodating and easy going. He met with me twice (and on time I might add) to go over what I wanted to have done, which types of paint I wanted (semi gloss here, egg shell there, etc.) and to discuss which type of paint I should use for the best coverage (he confirmed what I already knew - Benjamin Moore). They did a great job at all the prep work (truly the secret to a great paint job) and every single crack and hole was completely filled in. For two coats, the price was extremely reasonable (I chose to purchase the paint myself) and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. It was definitely worth it and I could kick myself for not having had them do this earlier. What also impressed me about Meza Painting was their versatility. I know they do small jobs (such as this) but they also have done paint jobs for multi-million dollar homes (ask to see the exterior paint job photos of the Victorian in Alameda - I could not believe my eyes). Meza Painting Co Inc just painted the exterior of our house. We have never seen such thorough prep and attention to details. They are lead certified, and there was not one chip of paint left in the garden or on the ground. They covered everything carefully, taking particularly good care around our plantings. Each night they cleaned up, even vacuumed. The house is wood sided on the second floor and stucco at ground level so we can speak to their expertise with both surfaces.
