This Dunn Brothers is such a great spot if you're looking for a modern, comfortable coffee shop to work or hang out for a while. The space is bright and clean with window-facing high-top seating, and there are lots of outlets, which makes it an ideal work-from-home cafe. The staff is friendly and welcoming, parking is easy with plenty of spots, and the vibe feels calm and productive without being too quiet. Drink-wise, I highly recommend the Nitro Nirvana cold brew, it's so creamy, smooth, and easy to drink. Also don't skip the bakery case: the white chocolate raspberry scone is absolutely delicious. This is my third time experiencing extremely poor and unwelcoming service at this coffee shop. Each time, the same employee has been disrespectful and dismissive. Today was especially frustrating. I was the only customer in line, yet there was no greeting, no basic courtesy, and no effort to provide decent service. Even after I tipped, the employee handled my order carelessly and with a bad attitude. It felt completely disrespectful. Because of this behavior, I ended up leaving without my order. No customer should feel uncomfortable or disrespected, especially when they are polite and paying for a service. I live nearby and really wanted to support this place, but after multiple bad experiences, I can't recommend it. Customer service here needs serious improvement. They don't even deserve 1 star. read more

Came in for coffee and there were 5 people just standing behind the bar just looking at us. After someone finally came over to take our order I ordered a cold brew with caramel half sweet and a shaken espresso for $15 which I feel like is on the pricier side. The shaken espresso I received was not shaken at all and the cold brew was the wrong size and extra sweet. I am a barista so I understand things happen but it was not even busy and the drinks were made completely wrong. read more

We ordered a couple of drinks and each got a Philly cheesesteak burrito for breakfast. Overall, it was pretty good and a quick pick me up. My caramel frappe had more than enough whipped topping. My hubs really liked his honey spiced nirvana coffee. The burrito was made fresh and good, but I think it was missing some of the ingredients. All of this was around $28. read more

We made our own breakfast sandwich Biscuit with cheddar cheese, egg souffle and sausage & English muffin with cheddar cheese, egg souffle and bacon. Both sandwich's were ok nothing to wow you. We also got a small medium roast coffee that packs a powerful punch of flavor and a banana caramel hot coffee was delish if you like banana flavor. For the $22 we spent Dunn Bros wouldn't be my first choice to stop for breakfast but I would definitely stop for a coffee run. read more

Best breakfast croissant sandwich hands down! I change out the ham and Swiss for sausage and cheddar which brings it to another level. They use fresh ingredients and none of the prepackaged crap that the big name coffee shops used. Drinks are delicious with the perfect sweetness somewhere in between Caribou and Starbucks. This is the second time that ive been to this location. The service has been fast and friendly and there is always a comfortable atmosphere. I always order an iced chai but not here anymore. Even my boyfriend had to say that tge chai is just not their specialty drink at this location. It taste alittle bitter over ice. However it does taste ok cold. I do love the location though. It is close to work and close to home for me. There is always plenty of parking and they do have great pistachio muffins! read more

Most certainly not the best Dunn Bros I've been to. My review is based more on the building and location rather than the coffee which is similar to what you would get at any Dunn bros shop. To start of the shop is super crammed and if you're sitting behind one of the tables good luck trying to focus when you're constantly getting bumped by people trying to get around you. (Not over exaggerating) If you take a seat at the window ledge you'll need to bring a sweater and be ready to constantly take it off and on. The way the building is set up the air flow either makes you hot or cold. If someone opens the door and it's cold that cold air will flow right through you and then the heat kicks in and again the hot air goes right through you again. It does offer couches in the back with a nice fireplace that is of course if you are lucky enough to get a good spot. read more

How rude. I keep coming back. The chai is weak as is the hot chocolate. They close at 6. Today the worker came over at 5:32 and said, "You have about a 1/2 hour". Totally rude. Food/Drink: Having been here a few times this week, I've ordered coffees, iced teas, lemonades and the italian sodas. All are pretty decent. Dunn Bros in general has some of the strongest, darkest roasts which when you need a pick me up, you need a pick me up. The cold drinks are OK also, but nothing too special. Ambiance: It's back in the back of a strip mall. Technically there's a sign off the main road, but you've got to navigate the strip mall and restaurant to get back there. Plenty of parking and they have some outside seats setup in the summer. The interior is pretty simple with the typical "living room" setup, but they differentiate a little by having a long working bar on the window side where you can sit individually and work. And it's kind of awesome that it's never too busy. Service: Depends, coming in a few times and hearing the conversations in the background, I feel slighted. Sometimes I get someone at the counter that seems like I actually matter and they appreciate me coming in as a customer and sometimes it's pretty cold where I get the feeling of "Order, pay, move on bub". Nothing else major, all the areas are pretty clean and I've never been aggressively kicked out at their early close. Overall: I'll come back when I want a strong cup of coffee, but I'd be open to trying some other places. It's not a place that I'll wake up and say "Yeah!, I'm going to Dunn Bros, it's gonna be great", more of "Let's get there and get it over with". Being local to the neighborhood and coming here a decent amount, I'd hope it gets better and more consistent. I really would like to come here more often. read more

My brother drove extra miles in order to bring me to this Dunn Brothers location. I felt bad for not liking my drink. My almond milk latte was too bitter; the drink had a burnt flavor overall. It saddens me to be providing a somewhat negative review to this company. I have spent countless hours in their various locations over the years. It may be safe to assume that they had an off day. This was my second time at this location. I initially went in to redeem a "new resident" coupon for a free coffee. Ive been to other Dunn bros and could never find anything I liked there. This ones different though. I really enjoy their full bodied light roast coffee. The owners seem nice too. Plus they had a great bakery case. I was between an almond croisant and a little apple pie pastry. I chose the croisant. I can see myself visiting this location again and again. Oh and their half and half container was full. Yay! Used to be a customer until this morning when I walked into the store to take a conference call, asked for the Wi-Fi and was told the password would be revealed only after I make a purchase. To my surprise the "delightful" barista was the owner of the store. She delivered the news so calmly that I decided to turn around and never come back to this store. I paid for my college while working at a coffee shop. I would have been fired for returning a customer. We were the "hang-out" place for all kinds of customers. We did not treat them differently based on their purchases, status and income. In short, this experience combined with the sight of the manager consuming her breakfast and answering with her full mouth were enough to scratch this store from my list. A great shop with friendly staff, nice atmosphere and just enough space. They will happily make me a French Press, which is rare these days. I enjoy the ability to work at the bar facing the windows- not much of a view, but it's nice to have the windows and enjoy a little sun while checking email. I wish the food selection was a little more developed, but that speaks to Dunn as a chain and less about this individual location. The option of choosing between several different roasts of bean is really pleasant. I would choose Dunn over the major shops any day! read more

Local gem, great place to hang and enjoy excellent coffee drinks and comfy environment. Lots of regulars and Ken and Sharon and staff always make you feel like family. They have tables outside for summer and a fireplace inside for the other 11 months. I buy all my beans here, too. If you come in while they're roasting the aroma is heavenly. They have tables, a long bar with high seats, and a couch with some overstuffed chairs. Long row of large windows on three of four walls make it very sunny and open. read more

The barista on duty at this Savage-Prior Lake area Dunn Brothers was unwelcoming, untrusting and unaccommodating with a "business-first" mentality that was clearly communicated. So sad, but I predict the recent additions of competing businesses within the shadow of this long running Dunn Bros. will prevail and this Dunns will fail (I now sit in one of them, having spent $5 and welcomed, cared for and encouraged to return). This is a cosy place to read a book with a cup of latte in one hand. They have comfy chairs and a shelf where you can trade your book with another one..FOR FREE! They have two stations for internet use which is convenient when I forget my laptop. The staff are very nice and courteous. I come here for meetings, studying, or grab and go. read more
