I came her earlier this morning on my way to work and I got here right on time. The strawberry frosted with sprinkles were calling my name, and I also wanted the cold brewed iced coffee. They have the self-service kiosk which helped things move along and there were probably about ten customers in front of me. One of these days I will have to go for the online ordering and curbside pick-up option. The donuts were fresh and had quite a bit of strawberry taste to them. The cold brewed coffee was perfectly chilled but I think they put a bit too much ice, which made the drink go fast. Ever since the boutique donut shop trend popped up in DC a few years ago, my trips to Dunkin' Doughnuts have been few and in-between. We were recently reunited when I got targeted by an Instagram ad that touted their seasonal heart shaped doughnuts and pink macchiatos for Valentine's Day. For literally about the same I paid for four specialty donuts a few weeks ago I was able to pick up thirty-three doughnuts that I was able to deliver to a few friends and the staff at Inova Fairfax! I couldn't believe how affordable these treats were! The heart shaped doughnuts were flavored in crowd favorites like boston cream, vanilla bean creme, brownie batter, cupid's kiss and more. They were so nostalgic and happy looking that everyone had a big smile when they were delivered. Service was efficient and friendly! I'll definitely be back the next time I need a doughnut fix! read more

So focused on fulfilling mobile orders, the staff actively ignore in-store customers. I'll happily be patient if the staff have the basic decency to acknowledge our presence. "Thanks for coming in, we'll be with you in a moment." Three staff behind the counter two with their backs to the store, a third actively avoiding eye contacting and not responding. 9/30/19 After seeing what I saw yesterday, I don't see myself eating here again. Upon entering the store, I saw it was nicely decorated and much cleaner than what I saw at the last Dunkin Donuts Store. I also saw both bathrooms were in full operation unlike the last place I was at. A teenaged girl/collage girl (at least that is what I saw) was taking orders than preparing them. She seem to be on her own, but she knew what she was doing. When my order was being prepared, she made six of the mini tacos with cheese, sausage and bacon. As I was taking some pictures I standing next to another custom when I heard something hit the ground. I saw the girl reach down and pick up a frozen sausage and place it back on the counter where food is prepared. I then saw her throw the frozen sausage not in the trash, but back inside the area where other frozen sausages are. This is cross contamanation times two. I asked her to change her gloves immediately and she did. The other customer saw everything too. The customer showed me something else that should not have been in the restaurant, but was. A small male praying mantis was standing by the window that I knew would very soon have other customers would be sitting at. Knowing people will kill things they or others are afraid of, I carefully and non threateningly cared the praying mantis outside to a safety zone. It was my first time ever holding a praying mantis. The mother and her kids ended up sitting where the praying mantis was and I don't think she would have liked seeing it near her. This place is nice, but my mind will always go back to the cross contamanation I saw. I would have given this review a one star, but because I like praying mantises, I leave it at two star rating. read more

I've been to this location a few times. I usually do on the go ordering from there app. It's the fastest way to order and I feel like my order is almost always correct because it's written, when I went inside to order at the counter the woman had a hard time understanding me. We went here to grab a quick coffee for the road before we heading back on the road from our trip across the east coast. This was probably our worst dunkin experience from our whole road trip, and we made plenty of stops since Dunkin' is essential for road trips. This was probably the longest I've had to wait for a pretty simple order since they messed it up two different times. We ordered two coffees and a corn muffin with butter and the coffees came out fine but the food was wrong the first time and then it didn't have butter the second time. Very disappointed in the customer service. Ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches and coffee and only received 1breakfast burrito which we didn't even order. When we called she said it wasn't there fault even though the receipt had the order perfectly listed. Our Uber eats driver could not have known because he is not supposed to check inside the bag. I have been coming to this location since 1997 and I've noticed that its changed hands a few times. The coffee is pretty good and the store recently underwent a much needed renovation so everything seems current. It's tough pulling out onto route 123 in rush hour traffic. The cashier asked if I took cream and sugar in my coffee - and without thinking too hard about it I replied yes. Employee named Collin sat across from me and he asked if he could read my palm and he did then he said I was hot and I was like thank you and then he asked for my hand and grabbed it and tried to ask for my other hand but I said no because I'm typing and I told him I didn't want to hold any hands and he said I suck and then he tried grabbing the phone and I tried taking it back but he wouldn't let go and I told him to stop because the phone can break and he didnt and I finally got the phone back and then he said something about footsie and tried playing with my feet and I tried moving but he was holding me like holding my foot like tight with his feet . This place used to have good donuts but it has gone downhill in a HUGE way. Instead of baking donuts on the premises, they now bake them elsewhere the night before and have them delivered each morning. This means the donuts will be only marginally fresh in the morning and completely stale if you stop in the store in the afternoon. Our 3 donuts were so stale we threw them out. I am talking HOCKEY PUCK hard. I have tried to reach the owner (Christina) to discuss our experience with her and suggest a return to the old method, but she's never in the store (at least not when I have called--and I even tried reaching her at one of her other stores). The man behind the counter was friendly and helpful, but the manager is not present and the donuts are inedible. If I had been able to reach Christina and get a refund for my stale donuts, I might have tried again in the morning when the donuts are presumably fresher.
