I don't understand why this Dunkin has a sub-4 let alone sub-3 average. This is the best Dunkin in a 15 mile radius! From Wadsworth to McHenry. I was never a Dunkin person until I came to this location, always Starbucks or McDonald's, but for the last 8+ months I forgot those places existed for coffee. Not to mention the bagel meal deal (when available which should be all the time) is the best bang for your buck. Best value around and this location has the best taste around. I'm surprised at the number of 1-star reviews as I haven't had any major issues with this Dunkin. I order delivery from here and the food arrives promptly and still warm. Be aware that, on delivery orders, if they're out of an item they will make substitutions without contacting the customer. For example, when they're out of my preferred English muffin for my breakfast sandwich they'll substitute a bagel or croissant. This isn't a big deal for me, but others might find it unacceptable. One time they had to substitute 2 items and they threw in a free donut for my trouble. My only complaint is when I order a bagel with cream cheese. They're very inconsistent with the amount of cream cheese they give you. Sometimes I get the good schmear that a bagel should have, but often I get barely enough to spread on the 2 halves, and every now and then I get so much that I have to remove some with a spoon! You'd think that Dunkin would have a device that applies a premeasured amount of cream cheese, but apparently not. It's for this reason that I took away a star. read more

This is my go to dunkin. I love the drive through option, the customer service is always great, and the coffee hits the spot. I go here weekly and the cashiers are always kind with speedy service. The inside tends to take a little longer especially if it's busy at the time you're there so I'd stick with the drive through if you can. I would also recommend downloading the app, currently there is weekly free coffee and donut deals, as well as other coupons! read more

This is a new DD. So far my experience has been good. I usually go in the early AM before my workout and work on week days. Everyone on staff had greeted me with a smile and taken my order quickly and correctly. Both hot and cold coffees have been available and I've not had a case where my drink was not available. This location is probably the worst location in Lake County! Several times I have ordered a mobile order and the door to the lobby is locked. That defeats the mobile order walk in option. This dunkin always has long lines, and is always hit or miss with food that they have in stock. I was once excited that I had this one on my commute route, but now I only go to this one if I am running late to school. I have had better experiences at other local dunkins. I came to this Dunkin' Donuts on 5/26 for a dozen donuts and I was disappointed with the quality of the donuts and the service. The cashier helping us did not look professional since his pants were hanging below his butt and his plaid boxers exposed, he had stains on his shirt, he was wiping his nose with his hands, and was grabbing the donuts with his bare fingers and dug his thumb into the first two Boston creme donuts even though he had wax paper in his left hand for selecting donuts. Placed an order through the app. Arrived less than 10 mins after purchasing and my order wasn't ready. Employees accused me of placing the order at the wrong location or not submitting the order correctly before they determined that their machine wasn't working.. They told me I'd have to call DD to make sure my app wouldn't be charged and told me to get in line to place the order. The app not working is one thing, but that is no excuse for not providing decent customer service when I got there. I just returned home from the drive thru. I ordered a large coffee no cream. I ordered this way because I normally order a coffee with light cream. When I taste my coffee it does not have cream, but it has sugar. I suppose I should have just said black coffee but I was fixated on no cream. Why didn't the guy clarify with me if i wanted sugar or black? I worked at Dunkin Donuts when I was a teenager and when I wasn't sure what someone wanted, I didn't decide what I thought they wanted. I also ordered a bagel with cream cheese on the side. I heard one of the employees say we are all out of knives. The man at the window responded "Oh well". Not mam, I'm sorry we don't have any knives, can I offer you a spoon instead? They did not know I heard the comment about the knife and let me drive off. Two other things...I drove through early one morning and ordered a bagel. The person working said I overcooked the bagels last night so they are a little dark, so you can have it no charge. That was good customer service, but the bagel turned out to be burnt and hard. On St. Patrick's Day I arrived in the store at 6:20 a.m.. I wanted some of the specially decorated donuts. They had two left. How do you not know you are going to need a lot of those donuts, when there are banners hanging in your window advertising them? The young person helping me was apologetic. The "manager" arrived as I was there and when the employee told her she commented "well that doesn't surprise me".
