La Luz Bakery in Round Lake. Fresh Cookies.

I love La Luz Bakery! You walk in and see all the incredible doughnuts, cookies, sweet breads, and churros, among all the other staples. And the smell, oh the smell. You can't walk out of this place without gaining 10 pounds. Just kidding. This place is awesome!

Ordered 2 chicken tamales. Have NO clue?burnt leftovers? Threw them out! Sorry..will not be back. Too bad their chocolate donuts are good.

Ordered 2 chicken tamales. Have NO clue what this is, burnt leftovers??? We threw them out! Sorry...I will not be back. Too bad cause their chocolate donuts are real good.

Horrible!! Mold on cake! Will never go there again!

Horrible place!! I bought cake and pan dulce here today, only to find mold in my cake! I started eating my cake when I got home after buying it. Then I realized it tasted funny, and then I noticed the mold! I want a full refund on my entire purchase, If my cake had mold what makes me think my bread isn't bad too!

Tres Leches Cake , strawberry filling, white chocolate and fruit garnishes.

This tres leches cake was absolutely delicious! I received great service from friendlly staff who accommodated my order! I even had a co worker asked where I got it from. Thank you! Gracias!

I had a dentist appointment and they told me only soft foods, ideally liquid diet for the next day or two. So I looked up on Yelp for ice cream near me to go get a milkshake, and here I am! When you walk in, you get a modern take on an old-time ice cream shop. The red and white checkered floor, the 1950s and 1960s ice cream shop menu offerings, and the rockabilly music on the sound system. I would say customer service matches as well, as the young man was very polite which was such a nice change from so many places in 2024. I ordered a Harry Belafonte, which is basically a vanilla milkshake with diced up fresh banana. The young man was willing to swap the soft serve vanilla ice cream for chocolate at my request. The milkshake comes out quite thin, but with a nice flavor. The milkshake however what six dollars, which I found too expensive for what I got. Then I got an orange dreamsicle soft serve ice cream. The young man struggled to explain that the base was a vanilla ice cream and they put in some sort of orange powder. This definitely was not worth $4 is the flavor was kind of orange creamsicle and kind of chemical. The shop is super clean, has a really wonderful five. I just wish the product was better and at a better price.
