We got the 10 copilot so we could try the tiny versions of his pies. Amazing. The Shepard (cottage) pie was very phenomenally seasoned and the potatoes on top were beautiful and tasty. He was very helpful in telling how to freeze and cook the other pot pies.Chicken pot pie excellent. We tried a sample of the blueberry and peach bars and had to get them! My husband enjoyed the orange cookies. Raspberry cheesecake and lemon poppyseed muffins were excellent. Top notch ingredients, recipes, service. We will be back to reorder and try more. It's a take out place and you order larger or specialty items a few days ahead. They have a lot of gluten free items. Items are displayed well and they have coffee and Treat Diva Dog treats and preserves. During the season look for them at the Farmers markets also! read more

Great to see this bakery has a permanent home in Grayslake where you can pick up some fresh items. It previously only had sold things at farmers markets. BakeShare is small but has a lot. For the most part it's breads and pies. There's a ton of flavors of these. A lot of customers order ahead. It's a great idea if you're getting a lot. Those just wanting a few loaves of bread or some pies can walk in here though. Has a ton to get. The prices aren't bad for a small business like this. It's about $8 for a loaf of the Focaccia. This comes in garlic or marinara. Has a ton of fresh baked goods. It's a convenient option for those needing breads or pies and there's not much time. I got an email with suggestions from Yelp that included Bake Share Baking. Since I was going to see my wife's cousin and sister at the lake house for the weekend, I thought it was great timing, and I would bring a pie up to the lake. Got on the website and ordered two pies, cherry and peach. Got a call from the Pie Guy about where to pick up - the store or Lake Bluff Farmers Market. Chose the Farmers Market for the proximity and timing. Took the peach pie to the lake and it was wonderful with a little vanilla ice cream. Perfect after hitting a supper club. Post weekend, started in on the cherry pie again with vanilla ice cream. I knew it was a hit when my son said we were running out of ice cream. What can I say? We enjoyed the pies so much, I have placed an order for another pie (strawberry-rhubarb) this week for Saturday pick up to take to a BBQ. This time I get to check out the bricks and mortar store. Very expensive for what you get. The Apple had big chunks of apples , needed to be cooked more . The crust was ok not wonderful but ok. It's the price that was alarming . The best pies in the area are at Bent Fork Bakery in Highwood. The prices can't be beat ànd thé quality is amazing! Not a far drive ànd the staff is incredible.,Bake share we purchased thé Dutch Apple hand pie I believe 10.00. Definitely not worth it . I love Bake Share Baking! Michael (the owner) crafts a variety of wonderful baked goods (pies, cookies, and bread). Everything I've had from here is delicious. I've tried quite a few of the pies and my favorites are: strawberry-Rhubarb, Cherry Bomb, and Let's Get Muddy. If a full-size pie is more than you can consume, don't worry, they have smaller offerings they call "pielets". If you haven't tried Bake Share ... you need to! I highly recommend it! read more

My first experience with Bake Share was through going to Farmers markets. I'd buy a few mini pies and tartlets and put them in a cabinet so my family wouldn't see them! They're so good. I'd stick with the Straight Up and Home Run Apple Pies but when I conceded that my family may like to have dessert too, I bought a Just Peachy Pie and a Strawberry Rhubarb. I was so excited to find out they were offering pies, even delivered, for Thanksgiving! I called right away and ordered two Pumpkin and a Smooth as Silk pie. Four people, two adults and two kids... those pies didn't have a chance. They were in our bellies! YUM! December 2nd marks the day Share Bake opened a storefront. I was there within two hours of their opening and I have to say, what a nice looking place they have. The display case was filled with mini pies and tartlets. There were also cookies, jams and jellies. If you have a hankering for pie, stop in and pick up a mini pie; or call ahead and get a regular size pie. You will not be disappointed! read more

Had the pleasure of trying a hand pie from here while shopping the farmers market, and it was so good I had to stop in again! The guy who runs it is great, a real nice person who'll gladly help you with your order. He only uses the freshest local ingredients, so while you CAN stop in and shop your going to want to place an order for anything specific. The storefront is small with little displays showing off what he and his space partners are offering, and no tables so it's a takeout only situation. I came in wanting to try his Maple Oatmeal bread, but he makes it to order so ill update in a week when I've had it. What I did get today is an Oatmeal cream pie which I took a small taste of already, and it's delicious! This is all real food, and it takes a while to get orders done. The gentleman said he needs at least a weeks notice so get your orders in early. His seasonal offerings look amazing as well, I look forward to trying a cranberry pie around the holidays. SINFULLY DELICIOUS!!! A MUST HAVE!! You absolutely have to stroll into this place. The smell hit me in the parking lot as they were busy little bees baking what I could only imagine of. Now they are only open Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 10am til when they sell out. I was lucky enough to make it within that time frame. I met the owner, Michael Wollen, who was an absolute charming and patient man. He answered all of my many questions. We even chatted about current events. Salivating, I picked out an assorted dozen mini pies. What a peach! Speaking of peach, the peach pie was mmmm, yummy! But the real treat is the "Let's Get Muddy Pecan Pie". O. M. G., this 4 bite little gem was, well ... An out of body experience. I sat there with every bite my eyes closed and with a soft mmmmmm, mmmmmm, oooh this is soooo good! I'm having my son and his wife over tonight for dinner and I can't wait to share these (and have myself another)!!! BEST LITTLE BAKE SHOP IN TOWN! read more
