shop front - The image shows the exterior of Bake Share Baking in Grayslake, IL, with a beige building facade, a red awning over the entrance, and signage indicating baked goods and a dry cleaner. Two people are standing outside, engaged in conversation, near the storefront windows. A 'For Lease' sign is visible in one window, and the sky above is cloudy. The scene is set in a parking lot with a yellow curb in front of the store.

such a cute little shop. the people inside are SUPER sweet. the cookies were so good my mom went back to buy another before we left the parking lot 15/10 would recommend. i hope to come back before i leave illinois:)

Smooth as Silk and Pumpkin Pie. After I ate these two slices I had two more! - A round plate with a red background and white polka dots contains two slices of cake, one with a layer of whipped cream on top. A fork is placed on the plate, partially inserted into the cake. The plate is on a dark wooden table, with other dishes and items partially visible around it.

My first experience with Bake Share was through going to Farmers markets. I'd buy a few mini pies and tartlets and put them in a cabinet so my family wouldn't see them! They're so good. I'd stick with the Straight Up and Home Run Apple Pies but when I conceded that my family may like to have dessert too, I bought a Just Peachy Pie and a Strawberry Rhubarb. I was so excited to find out they were offering pies, even delivered, for Thanksgiving! I called right away and ordered two Pumpkin and a Smooth as Silk pie. Four people, two adults and two kids... those pies didn't have a chance. They were in our bellies! YUM! December 2nd marks the day Share Bake opened a storefront. I was there within two hours of their opening and I have to say, what a nice looking place they have. The display case was filled with mini pies and tartlets. There were also cookies, jams and jellies. If you have a hankering for pie, stop in and pick up a mini pie; or call ahead and get a regular size pie. You will not be disappointed!

I have reviewed this business before, so not sure why my review is not available. Sugarville is a…read moregreat shop to enjoy delicious ice cream and candies. The few times I have been here, I have had good experiences and enjoyed the ice cream. They offer Homer's ice cream from Wilmette, IL. Homer's is one of Chicagoland's best local ice cream shops. They have good quality ice cream and awesome flavors. The ice cream is creamy and has a good flavor. Their Banana Macadamia Nut is my most favorite. I also like their Coconut, Butter Pecan, Triple Berry, and Bourdeaux Cherry flavors. Their Tuesday special of Bring Your Banana for a banana split for $5 is a great deal. We love it. The service is always friendly. The shop's decor is nice and welcoming. The menu pricing is reasonable and the value for what you pay is really good. Check out Sugarville if you haven't before.

What a cute candy shop in Libertyville, IL. This city is new to me, never heard of it before, but…read morecome to find out, I've been near it before. This candy shop is inviting with their bright pink neon lights which I love. There is so much to see in here and we looked around and went through the bulk candy for sometime to pick the flavors we wanted. It was kinda fun in a weird way. Wait just one more watermelon! Lots of candies I've never seen or even tasted before. I set myself a limit in here because let's be real, you can go overboard on the yummy goodies. They also offer fudge and icecream. Staff encounter was minimal, but I can't say anyone was super eager and enthusiastic while ringing us up. I was happy to find the sour pucker lips as they are hard to come by back home... it was a win for me. I loved the OHHHH fudge sign on the wall-- put a huge smile on my face. :-)

I had a dentist appointment and they told me only soft foods, ideally liquid diet for the next day or two. So I looked up on Yelp for ice cream near me to go get a milkshake, and here I am! When you walk in, you get a modern take on an old-time ice cream shop. The red and white checkered floor, the 1950s and 1960s ice cream shop menu offerings, and the rockabilly music on the sound system. I would say customer service matches as well, as the young man was very polite which was such a nice change from so many places in 2024. I ordered a Harry Belafonte, which is basically a vanilla milkshake with diced up fresh banana. The young man was willing to swap the soft serve vanilla ice cream for chocolate at my request. The milkshake comes out quite thin, but with a nice flavor. The milkshake however what six dollars, which I found too expensive for what I got. Then I got an orange dreamsicle soft serve ice cream. The young man struggled to explain that the base was a vanilla ice cream and they put in some sort of orange powder. This definitely was not worth $4 is the flavor was kind of orange creamsicle and kind of chemical. The shop is super clean, has a really wonderful five. I just wish the product was better and at a better price.

We had heard they were busy, many times with wait times. So we were surprised. The ambiance is really nice, A really nice Italian dinner restaurant. I started with an Old Fashioned and it was one of the better ones I have had. They really nailed it. There are a couple on their menu so I was sure to say "not the one with soda/selter". That a Wisconsin one :) We asked if the Caesar was large enough to split to start. They said yes. Great. There were 3 tables filled so it was finally not empty. Not sure why the bar seating was empty- looked like a great place to sit too. After ten minutes we gave our order, Chicken Piccata for my wife and I had the Pork Chop special. The waiter didn't come by and we didn't get our salad. He was busy making drinks for one larger party (the 4th table). Finally our entree's came. I asked what happened to our salad. He looked confused. I reminded him we asked if it was large enough to split and we would start with it. He was genuinely sorry. It happens. Then we ate the entree's. My wife's Chicken was flavorful and served hot. It was very good. My pork chop was closer to room temp rather than hot. The flavor was really good. Unfortunately I have a thing about eating my food hot, not on the cold side. I told the waiter. He was sorry and asked if he could have them heat it up. I passed .... Didn't want dryer food while my wife ate alone. The manager came over and insisted it didn't sit at the window. Not sure WHY he wanted to argue this point. I offered the plate so he could taste or even feel the dish at that point. He seemed genuinely wanting to help, but he didn't need to make us feel like we were wrong. Again - not the end of the world. So why 3 stars? My wife's food was great. The taste of mine was good. They didn't charge us for my dinner. Their Old Fashioned was out of this world (ask Omar to make it). The truth is we want to try it again and see if this was a glitch. If it wasn't a glitch, it's why they weren't packed on a Friday night.
