Coffee & donuts

Nice Dunkin Donuts location in Midtown, one of my favorite Memphis neighborhoods. Same classic timeless combination, donuts and coffee. Service was fast and friendly. This location has some interesting Dunkin memorabilia shown on the attached pictures. Overall good experience.

I pull up to the drivethru, cause my husband doesn't have any masks in his car, didnt discover this til it's time to get out n go into a store. So, we are talking about it at the window We attempted to place an order for 2 coffees. But instead we ordered 1 large iced caramel macchiato with only 3 instead of the regular 4 they normally do. Anyway this coffee is freakin horrible ‼ Sitting at the bottom of my cup is pure sugar. It wont dissolve because this is an iced coffee. Like, as much as I drink coffee, I'm beyond pissed. U have ruined an experience and the attitude was pis poor as well. The person that took my order didnt comprehend or new and there was another at the window passing out the order. If you were training this young lady, you need to be retrained as well. I know you say plain straight sugar being poured into iced coffee and yet you handed it out. Not a happy camper, gotta go home. I dont wanna take my coffee rage out on anyone..

Y'all serving fly doughnuts now? Most days when I head into this Dunkin's, located on Union Avenue, in Memphis, TN, flies are swarming around inside the store. I would like to bring to light, that the storing of the doughnuts lacks security from circumstances like this. Maybe get doors, and warmer lights, so that the doughnuts remain warmer than a cool biscuit. Dunkin', please step your game up! We're in the midst of a pandemic.

It's a really great and convenient location. During the day I have never had a bad experience. The day staff is great and helpful but the night staff....needs some help. I've decided that once the sun goes down I won't be visiting. From getting the wrong coffee to even the wrong donuts, it's been a disaster.

We love red velvet donuts, and we tried all three varieties that they had. The one with cream cheese on top was absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed the frosted donut holes, both the strawberry and chocolate, as well as their lemon glazed doughnut. It was cute that they threw in a few donut holes to fill the boxes where they could. The chocolate muffin, apple fritter, and cinnamon roll (butter roll) were quite good as well. The kolaches were delicious. We loved that they had a sweet Hawaiian bread wrapping the sausages. This place was a crowd pleaser from the adults to the kids. On the last day we were there, the staff said "see you tomorrow" and unfortunately, we had to say that we were leaving town. But, we'll definitely be back when we visit Memphis again.

When I walked in, the store appeared clean for the most part, and everything looked fresh. I ordered a kolache first and then decided to get a red velvet donut because it looked so good. However, before the employee could put the donut in the bag, I noticed a large horsefly flying around inside the display case, landing and flying around the donuts. I was instantly disgusted and reacted immediately. The employee seemed to acknowledge it, but her reaction felt more performative than genuinely concerned. It didn't seem to faze her, even as another customer who had already ordered coffee was also watching what was happening. I understand that bakeries and donut shops with open display cases can occasionally have issues with insects, and I'm not saying people shouldn't visit this business. Everyone can make their own decision. But personally, once I saw a horsefly flying around food that was about to be served to me, I couldn't bring myself to knowingly eat it. What surprised me even more was that after seeing my reaction, the employee still asked if I wanted the kolache. At that point, I had completely lost my appetite and simply walked out. I was genuinely looking forward to trying Midtown Donuts, and it's disappointing that my first experience ended this way. Unfortunately, because of what I witnessed, I won't be returning.

First, I could not have been more impressed with the how polite and helpful the workers were. The donuts were great. Both were hot and they finished the toppings in front of me. She asked…read moreif I had been there before and gladly helped explain the menu options as well as telling me how freshly made their donuts are. They are made to order and are very good. The prices are also affordable for what options they offer one to select from. The interior is open, vibrant, and clean. The donut itself is well made and is similar to a cake consistency for the bit and not the light airy type one gets with Krispy Crème. The frosting is flavorful. The down side is because the donuts are made to order they are extremely warm after the fry and the frosting will melt over the donut. They will be messy. It is still a very good donut and if one enjoys a slightly messy donut they will enjoy them. If one is ordering for the office or at home, one could ask for their donuts to be cooled a bit prior to being glazed or decorated so that the frosting sets better. Everyone has their idea of an ideal donut and Duck Donuts is deserving of giving them the opportunity to see if they can provide them that. When I visit my doctor's office I will swing by again.

On my first visit, the donuts were good, particularly the warm, tasty cake donut. The service, however, was average. The drive through attendant's tone was dry and unwelcoming, which should have been my first indication of what to expect. On my second visit, the quality of the donuts was disappointing. The glazed donuts tasted as though they had been refried, and the cake donut was cold and did not taste fresh. Both visits were early in the morning, when I would expect fresh donuts. Once again, the attendant's attitude was dry and unwelcoming. When I returned a third time, I asked whether there were any freshly fried donuts. The attendant responded sarcastically, "All of our donuts are fresh, ma'am." He then explained that if I meant donuts that had just come out of the fryer, the answer was yes. He followed that with, "What can I get you, ma'am?" in the same snarky tone. When I said I would appreciate a better customer experience, his response was, "Just get out of the line, ma'am." So I did. I immediately pulled over and called customer service to report what happened. I requested a callback from the franchise owner. More than two weeks later, I have not received one. The lack of follow up leaves me concerned that the problem goes beyond the service at the drive through. Asking about the freshness of food should never result in a customer being spoken to sarcastically or told to leave. Reporting that treatment should warrant a response from someone willing to address it. Based on these experiences, I would not recommend spending your money at this location. Customers deserve fresh donuts, respectful service, and accountability when something goes wrong. I hope ownership takes this feedback seriously and makes meaningful changes in how this location operates and treats its customers.
