I love this Starbucks. I'm a regular, and generally get admirably good and gracious service. If there are elements of service to improve at Starbucks generally, they center around MANNERS and around THINKING your way through your job. Today's example was not only annoying but bizarrely silly. There were, actual count, seven baristas behind the counter. Action at the window, but I was the sole inside customer. I stood at the counter four minutes. No greeting. No acknowledgement. Mind you, there was much cheerful banter and horseplay behind the counter. Young barista steps up, blank look. "Yes?" Let's put twenty dollars on my Starbucks card. Paid. Now, normally, at Starbucks, I like to have coffee, this being a coffee shop and all. And a sausage-cheddar biscuit. Brownie. Seems courteous to make a purchase or two while I and my laptop perch in their premises. However, this barista wordlessly and with stunning rapidity handed me my card, turned, and walked back to her barista buddies (baristices?), rejoining their noisy banter behind the counter. Maybe she'll come back, I thought. Minutes past. I walked away. I'm still hungry. Maybe I'll step up again when more thoughtful personnel are at the counter. I tried again. Five minutes. Nothing. This young woman apparently believes that the sole reason I came in today was to add money to my card for the benefit of Starbucks. Are there indeed "donors" who do this? Annoyingly, I realized that I'd already left a tip for this. Third time lucky. Got a cookie and some of the old black plasma. And a smile from the always-excellent "Nia." Is there another way to get served? It would seem silly to come in, sit, and order through the app. Perhaps I could predict my days and times and mail in an order by post. E-mail? Text? Fax, perhaps? Do they still have Telex? Send a courier, maybe, to bag the order and walk it to my table... This is a generally very well managed Bucks with some premier servers. But here at the Quince/Kirby location, as at so many of this company's stores, there is sometimes a mistake in focus: Employees are taught to make a thousand varieties of coffee, but not taught quite so well to create a warm, pleasant, service-oriented experience for customers. The real job is not serving coffee--it's serving people. Still, I have faith. I think I'll go to the counter again in a bit and will wager it'll be a good moment. This particular SB remains one of my favorites in the Memphis metro area. The service is ordinarily competent, friendly, and reasonably quick. This coffee shop runs like a well-oiled machine, and this customer appreciates that. read more

Just about any part of town I am in, I am going to find a Starbucks. I am glad I ran across this one. Although it was super busy, the line went fast and my food and drink was served fresh. The staff at the window was super friendly and courteous. I order my regular, a venti green tea with the Spinach Egg White wrap. Must try those the next time you visit Stabucks. They are both a light, healthy, and filling snack. read more

Another Elite Starbucks location. I love Starbucks and I'm not sure if I'm going to give it up anytime soon lol. Starbucks used to have Elite level customer service in the same manner as Chick-fil-A but recently have been a hit or miss. I'm so glad they were a hit. The people are friendly. They aren't like the Starbucks I've been to in other states. They don't automatically give you napkins or straws you have to actually ask for them. read more

The staff here is really nice and if you come often, they remember you and your usual drink orders. They usually keep about 8 staff on deck so the lines usually move smoothly and mobile orders are ready promptly even during the rush hours. Only downside is this location is near the homeless camp so you may get hit up for money. And this location is COLD on the inside so if you forget your jacket be prepared to freeze your buns off. Never seen so much attitude from Destiny working the window. There were 4 vehicles in line in front of us. It took slightly over 20 minutes to get to the window. The cars in front of us got their order then passed it back. It appeared that each order was incorrect and had to be redone. My order of just coffee was served at room temperature. The mocha for my partner was served tepid. If you are offering a superior product at a premium price, it should be correctly prepared. Haven't used this location in a while but Destiny convinced me there are better places to buy coffee. read more

This is the best Starbucks in Shelby County, by a long shot. It's a small building with a tight parking lot, which can sometimes making parking a challenge, but just go through the drive thru in that case -- it's so fast. The employees are SO friendly and smiley, and even the ones who aren't super nice aren't rude by any means, and they're still super efficient (I can look past light terseness when I'm in the drive thru line for less than two minutes total). My order here has never been wrong. Occasionally there are customers with overcomplicated orders they saw on Tiktok that hold up the line for no reason, but that doesn't happen too much. The inside of the cafe is not large but it's clean and has ample seating. read more

Probably the best outside of Dallas' West Village Starbucks, which is practically the size of a library! Or the Great Falls Georgetown Pike Starbucks. If you're driving around and this is within 10 minutes of you, then it's a 5-star choice. TIP - Hipsters congregate here TIP - A little light on the power outlets TIP - No Clover. TIP - outdoor seating provides a parking lot and busy roadside view. No points for that. read more

Multiple cafe closures due to COVID exposure, no notification that mobile orders can't be picked up inside, incredibly long drive through line to get mobile orders. One worker told me I could come to the window and pick up a mobile order (illegal) and when that didn't work I was told I had to call and cancel. Tried to call and cancel and was finally told I had to come physically to the drive through to show my app and get a refund. You guessed it- sit through the drive through i was trying to avoid in the first place. Only customer service "we are sorry" they offered was to remake the order (if I could get there during limited hours). Starbucks moved next door to the new Trustmark bank for the new share space concept. The location is extremely conveniently placed. However, I've never liked the service at the prior location. Service is extremely slow on average. We use the Starbucks App and our orders are typically not ready even with extra time given. I've picked up incorrect orders. It prints out on a sticker... I've waited for a hot coffee for 20 minutes while everyone worked in a bulk order. Counter backed up. People walked out. And then they get grumpy or sarcastic about it. Look, when people have the option to shop local or go to a chain there are clear reasons. Efficiency and consistency are why I go to Starbucks. Let's work on improving that at this location. This isn't my "local Starbucks" but it's one of favorites. The baristas are friendly and efficient, whipping up drinks at record speed and rarely missing a beat. What I love most about this location is the layout. There are plenty of nooks and crannies to chat, read, work, or just drink your coffee. There are a number of people at times but because the seating is so open it never seems overly loud or chaotic. I come here to write and with a good set of headphones, I never get distracted. I vacationed here to my hometown and was fortunate enough to stay in a hotel directly behind this location. The staff was friendly and helpful and they didn't bat an eye at my very customized order. Robby was so sweet and wonderful to chat with prior to a long drive home while i was trying to wake myself up. Very nice to feel so welcomed 2000 miles away from my own store.
