One of the best pumpkin doughnuts I've had! We actually got off the exit with the intention of going to Chick Fil A. We passed this place and decided to stop here instead. We were not disappointed. The restaurant had a nice hometown feel to it. The young man working the counter was very pleasant and helpful. The doughnut counter had on display some of the tastiest looking doughnuts I've seen. With fresh baked doughnuts, it was hard to choose just a couple. We also have to give props to the delicious coffee since it's an important partner to doughnuts. Howard's used to be my favorite donut stop in town but I've found recently that the quality of their donuts are hit and miss. The last time I went to Howard's I ordered half a dozen glazed donuts and we ended getting over a dozen from the staff member. Unfortunately they tasted like Day (or two) old donuts. I'd much rather have quality over quantity. But on their good days their donuts are straight up magic. I'm extremely disappointed to write this review. I have enjoyed Howard's Donuts for 35+ years, but lately the Cordova location has been VERY disappointing. The customer service has gotten bad and the quality of donuts has plummeted. Today is the second Friday in a row I have stopped for chocolate donut holes and been SORELY DISAPPOINTED. The donuts themselves are stale. The icing? Almost nonexistent. I've come to expect a certain level of quality from Howard's, but if this is the new norm, I will be finding my donuts elsewhere. I was shocked that no precautions are taken by staff to reduce the spread of the coronavirus. No gloves. No maskwe. This is disappoint. Very irresponsible of the owner of this location. I am disappointed that after all the deaths we have seen as a result of COVID-19 that businesses arent doing their part to prevent the spread of this mystery virus. Scientific research shows that wearing masks reduces the virus spread. I will not be patronizing an establishment that shows little regard for their employees and customers. I really did not want to write this review, but I had to. I went to Howard's donuts at 9 PM. I asked for a lemon filled doughnut. The young lady said they were out. So I asked for a glazed twist. She said they were out of those as well. Then I asked if they had any cream-filled donuts. She said they did not have any. So I asked if they just had a regular glazed donut. She said no. I asked, "what about glazed donut holes? She said they did not have any of those either. So I decided it would probably be easier if she just told me what they had. She said they only had cake donuts. She said they would not have any more donuts until tomorrow morning at 6 AM and they would not be making any more because it was close to their 10:00 o'clock closing time. Well here's a suggestion. How about closing at 9:00 since you don't have any donuts. What's sad about this is that this is becoming their norm.....and what's also sad about this is that my sweet tooth wouldn't let me pull off after the second "no". LOL! read more

These are the worst donuts I have ever tasted. We ordered 2 crullers (1 chocolate frosted), 1 maple bacon and 1 apple fritter to split between my husband, myself and our son. The crullers were soggy. You could tell they used the wrong kind of sugar for the glaze because it was crunchy and didn't taste right. The chocolate frosting didn't have much flavor and just tasted like cheap chocolate topping. The maple bacon part was decent but the donut itself ruined it. It was again soggy and bland.
