Oh snap. I was NOT prepared to fully fall in love with this place in one visit! If you are a donut lover like myself then you know there is such a thing as a "bad" donut. Not all donuts are created equally. Some just taste special! And this place? SPECIAL!!!! The donuts were so SOFT and full of flavor. There were five of us who tried Tast T O's this Sunday in my family and all 5 of us absolutely loved what we had. In our small little town, Tas T O's is the place to be on weekend mornings! (And other mornings too, lol). There's generally a line out the door, but don't worry, you get in and out pretty quick. There's a few tables inside, though most get their food to go. Donuts galore! So many varieties and all so tasty, though we have our go-to selections that we get every time now. Oh what creatures of habit we are. Now for me, I always get a kolache as well, which come in regular and spicy. I jump back and forth on which to get depending on the mood. Not in the mood for donuts or a kolache? Don't fear, they also have breakfast sandwiches which my wife says are very good. I haven't tried one yet, but need to soon. They have chicken biscuits, sausage biscuits, I believe croissant sammies, etc... Now I'm not going to lie. They are not better than Gibson's. But honestly, no place in the country is. But it's not fair to judge them against the holy grail of donut shops. But compared to others in the city? Fantastic! Plus they're right down the road from our house and not 30 minutes away! Doughnuts are to "doughy" and not crisp enough for liking at all to similar to dunkin. Which I personally can't stand. Back to driving 20 mins for Krispy Kreme I guess. Won't be back again. I am a self proclaimed doughnut aficionado, and have eaten doughnuts at more places than I can count since relocating to the Memphis area. This is my favorite by far! the Bavarian cream is sweet but not overpowering, and the glazed doughnuts with assorted icing are light fluffy with great flavor. Everything I have tried has been awesome! One of my personal favorites is a more unique item, a Hawaiian fritter which has cherry, coconut and pineapples in the dough. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who cant decide or wants to try something new. I have been here several times, often later in the day but there are still fresh items to be had. That said the earlier you go in the better the selection will be as with any Doughnut shop. read more

First of all let me say that my brother and his wife used to own this shop. But since they sold it to new owners, I think I can review it objectively. The original Tas-T-O Donuts was located in Frayser on North Watkins, and was extremely popular. It was frequently voted best donuts in Memphis in various publications. But the neighborhood went down, so after many years, the owners closed up shop. Loyal patrons mourned. I mourned. I grew up in that area, and as a kid it was one of my favorite treats. Well many years later, my brother researched a bit, found the previous owners and bought rights and recipes to reopen in a different location out in Arlington. It caught on quickly, and most any morning you will find a line of folks waiting for some of the best donuts in existence. My personal favorite is the plain and simple glazed donut. When it's warm out of the oven, it practically dissolves in your mouth. I have never tasted donuts like this anywhere else. If you're in the area, stop in and try them for yourself. He said no because "people don't order coffee after a certain time, and if he made it for him, the rest would just have to be thrown out. I've lived in Arlington for 3 years and had never been in this place. I can't believe I've been missing out all this time! I'm not a big donut eater and I had no idea they served biscuits and croissants also! I got a ham egg and cheese croissant and also tried one of the hot dog sausages wrapped in the roll (forgive me I'm not sure what they are called) both were so delicious! These are my favorite doughnuts around Memphis area. The yeast flavor is so intense. Old fashioned flavor and lots of variety. They have a doughnut cinnamon roll that is so good. Fritters are excellent. Breakfast croissants, biscuits, milk. Nice staff. A place to sit. Open at 5am. read more

Cambodian family owned donut shop in the Memphis suburb of Arlington. I loved trying their donuts. My sister and I came in here and grabbed a few for the family for breakfast, and it is crazy how vast of a selection they have! I stuck to my usual plain glazed donuts while my sister got one with chocolate and sprinkles on it. Both are super good, and I liked it a lot!
