Barefruit Café is my favorite coffee shop in Memphis and the surrounding area. Their coffee is unmatched, and I love that they're always introducing new flavors and creative combinations. And the cro-nuts? Absolutely to die for. My go-to latte is the blueberry crumble, and my husband's is the salted peanut butter cup. My favorite cronut is the brown butter glaze, but I love trying their new flavors! But what truly makes Barefruit special is the people--the staff and the owners. During postpartum and my transition back to work, I made it a little ritual to treat myself to a coffee and a cronut from Barefruit once a week (or sometimes more- lol). Some days were (and still are) incredibly hard, but I'm always greeted with the warmest welcome and the kindest smiles. They take the time to ask about my son and how I'm doing, and they even help with quick pickup orders, so I'm not late for work. On the toughest days, they somehow just know. Whether it's a joke, a thoughtful question, or simply a friendly smile, they always manage to brighten my morning. They genuinely care about their customers and make you feel like family. Anytime we have friends or family visiting, Barefruit is our first stop--and it's always a hit. I recommend them wholeheartedly and can't wait to see how they continue to grow. I first tried them as a small stand at farmer markets- and am so happy for the shop now! I am a local, but the wait times vary. Some weekends are busy, but I promise it is worth the wait. Barefruit Café is the cutest place for fancy coffee and donuts! If you live in the Memphis area, it's totally worth a drive to Arlington for a sweet treat. The café is located in the middle of Arlington Depot Square, and it's a good spot to grab a sweet treat or coffee before walking around the area. A friend and I came and we got a half dozen to try multiple flavors. The Cronuts were incredible-they are flaky croissant/donuts with topping. My faves were the vanilla bean, french toast, and brown butter glaze. They definitely have seasonal drinks and flavors. Check their Instagram for the most up-to-date information! The drinks are so good! If you're looking for the ultimate fancy coffee, I totally recommend coming here. I ordered an iced salted maple latte and it was tasty as heck. This place is the cutest and most necessary addition to the Arlington square. The decor is simple yet chic. They offer cronuts (croissant+donut) in several flavors and have mini sizes available, as well as coffee options. My banana bread latte was delicious! Service was nice and pretty quick. I would say that I think the plastic container for the donuts isn't necessary, a napkin or cardboard box would be more eco friendly. My friend was with me and she asked about child drink options and they didn't really have anything to offer besides milk or water. I think having a few options for kiddos would be a great menu addition. We will definitely be back for more coffee soon! read more

We went over 20 minutes out of our way this morning when we were leaving Memphis and heading to Chicago. It was absolutely worth the detour! The shop was quiet and had two employees working hard to provide excellent service to the in store customers. The coffees were delicious. We had the caramel crunch and vanilla bean cro-nuts. They were flaky, buttery and delicious! I highly recommend them for delicious coffee and sweet treat. read more

Barefruit Cafe in Arlington is absolutely worth the 20-minute drive. Everything tastes so fresh--you can really tell the croughnuts are made daily, and the coffee syrups being made from scratch makes a noticeable difference in flavor. Definitely come early because they do sell out. My only wish is that they were open later! The decor is super cute, and the service was friendly and welcoming. Barefruit is worth the drive, fund, and just all together the BEST at what they do. The cronughts is what we went for but this was probably the best local coffee I have had in a LONG time. Their shop is the perfect size and has a small town feel which was a breath of fresh air. The ladies working were quick and kind and had no problem with the millions of pictures and videos we took while in store. They have a rotating menu I believe, and signature flavors that are always available. We decided to try the Vanilla Bean Crème, Brown Butter Glaze, Strawberry Sprinkle (recommended), French Toast (mouthwatering), Signature Glaze, and the Cinnamon Sugar croughnuts! This place is a gem. I ordered an iced oat milk latte and it was excellent. Smooth, well-balanced, and clearly made with care. The line was literally out the door, which says a lot on its own, but what impressed me most was the staff.
