Holy crap. Order a carton of coffee and watch 3 employees stand there doing nothing after taking my money. Eventually another employees comes from the back, picks up a carton and starts pouring coffee from various thermoses into carton. Oops. Not enough. Pick up a coffee filter and start a new pot. The whole thing took about 15 minutes. Note to management - when people come in for coffee, just regular coffee, they want NOW. read more

I normally don't review fast food places, but I feel the need to mention the awful customer service I experienced in the drive thru on 10/28/22 around 10:45 AM. Everyone has rough days and I get that, but the guy in the window sounded like someone had just killed his puppy and he wanted nothing less than to be working. He was so half hearted in his service and he mumbled so that I could barely hear him (I am hard of hearing). I've worked several customer service and food service jobs before, so I can say that it is NOT that difficult to just smile at people, or use a friendly tone that doesn't make customers feel like they are annoying you. Starbucks and Scooters manage to have employees that are very pleasant 95% of the time. It's not a big ask. read more

Dear Yelp reader - Yea, this DD location is three stars to this reviewer as well... and the buying public could care less. Case in point, dropped in around 7:15 a.m. this morning and there's a line of 7-8 cars in front of me as it's drive through service only during the pandemic. I'm cool with it. Ordering was simple enough but they're out of a lot of specialty donuts. Service was spot on. Good enough. Oh well. And the donuts and donut holes, uh, excuse me, the latter are "Munchkins," not donut holes, they're... meh. Pedestrian. Same for the donuts. For a guy that kind of avoids foods with a lot of sugar, I actually found myself wishing they had more. Look, if you're going to do it, why not do it right? Took them to a get together a few minutes later and the consensus from everyone there was, "yea, that location is OK, but they're nothing special to write home about." And then driving by at 10:15 a few hours later, still a line of 7-8 cars plowing through their inventory, and I assume all the while between those two times, the same. So-so food, yet a public that can't get enough of it. An impressive business model for sure. If ya can't get enough of that corporate branding and food to match, this is your place. Asked for crispy snackin bacon. What I received was plain, soggy bacon with no seasoning and looked like it had sat in cooking oil the whole day. Same with the hash browns that I ordered. I hate the drive thru here, it gives me a panic attack because it's like being in a trap. I like Dunkin coffee but I have no idea why they are STILL not allowing service from the lobby?! Not even curbside? The drive thru is a serious nightmare during rush and I simply refuse to go back until they reopen normally or at least offer curbside. Starbucks and pretty much every coffee shop has offered take out almost all the way thru COVID. They have got to get with it and find a way to offer service that doesn't take 45 minutes out of your morning or people such as myself, a formerly loyal customer, will not patronize them until then. Really surprised the 6th Street Dunkin hasn't been reviewed yet. To be perfectly honest, Dunkin has really good coffee regardless of the chain coffee shop mentality. For some reason, we view Dunkin Donuts completely different than people back on the East coast. To them, Dunkin Donuts is a superstar in the coffee business. Again, why the stigma with Dunkin? Sure, they are mass produced and encroaching upon the Starbucks level of expansion. I repeat myself......it's damn good coffee. The company has lofty goals and many analyst predict the Dunkin Brands is poised to expand even further nationally. ( good investment by the way if you're interested). Here's the deal....the coffee they serve is not the same stuff you buy in their bags in the grocery store's. In fact, they use three different beans. One for the grocery stores. One for the bags they sell in their Dunkin stores and lastly, the best beans are reserved for their in-store grinders that are served to the public. All three taste different and obviously the best quality is by purchasing a drink that is prepared in house. Dunkin coffees are always super hot and fresh. Usually consistent with their product. Customer service is usually spot on. At times, you will run into issues with some of the teenage workers, but not too much. Ownership is normally around day to day operations. Very approachable and willing to address any issues you may have. Wifi was real spotty for a while at 6th street. I asked ownership about it and they immediately replaced the router and had Knology correct the problems. Seating isn't too bad. Not many outlets so make sure you have a full charge. Drive thru moves fast once you get in line. Speaking of.....The 6th street location is a nightmare to get in and out of during busy sessions. Almost impossible. Donut quality is fairly consistent. Food quality is where I have some issues. Too much microwaving with their foods. Way toooo much!! Oatmeal is terrible. Turkey sandwiches on Cibatta is excellent. Ice tea isn't bad. Always save your receipt and do the short survey to get a free donut. You can technically use one every time you visit their locations. I hope they one day start up some sort of rewards program. Also, noticed a new Dunkin Donuts under construction in Olathe off 119th street in front of Hy-Vee. Great location. read more

Still no lobby entry.....I feel like wearing a mask and doing social distance would be just fine! Cars pile up super quick and even run into the street area. Something needs changed. Also coffee has been watered down lately. I got a iced frappe and had to go back in line another 10 mins to get it fixed. As a coffee lover quality over quickness is a idea to come to mind when serving to customers who are there for coffee lol I shouldn't be tasting something that's basically water and like 1/4 coffee at that point it's just colored water. read more

I agree with this DD's earlier reviewer, Heather. This location is often out of items (no regular glazed or maple bars at 10a on Sunday, out of iced coffee at 4p), and they will often mess up orders. The customer service is poor - the staff are slow, grumpy, they HATE when you have coupons, and they are really sloppy. Throw a glazed donut unwrapped into a bag with other donuts, so I get to pay for a big mess and a glazed bag? You'll wait 15-20 min at the drivethru, standard. I live right near this location, but I will save myself some hassle and just head down to the Hwy 10 location from now on. read more

Some of the donuts are dry and they didn't have any bismarks. Glazed is not the only donuts people like. There are those of us who want flavors in a donut, not just dough drenched in glaze. read more

This location hires some great staff. They seem to be on top of things even when the store is hectic. Yes, sometimes things get overlooked, but they seem to be on the lookout for customers waiting around and will ask if you are waiting on something. In CT, Dunkin Donuts is a staple... in KS, not so much. I've been going to this DD for several months (due to my route) and dread it almost every time. There have been a handful of occasions where service has been friendly, efficient, and fast (we're talking drive through here)... but there have been more when that wasn't the case. For example, today when i went the cars were backed up to the street (Saturday at 10:15am). I assumed someone had an overly complicated order and was giving the drive thru worker a hard time. But each car took an average of 5 minutes (long for a drive thru) to get their food. When it was my turn i was asked to give them my order again. An item was STILL left out after i repeated my order AND paid but at that point i was like "eff it.. i don't have time for this".. then when i got home the sausage egg and cheese i purchased and paid for on the behalf of my partner was a bagel with cream cheese! The manager (after asking me to pay after i had already paid... to him) said there were too many people on that day. Indeed, there were three people at the drive thru.. BUT isn't management supposed to get the processed streamlined to avoid situations like these? Maybe i'm type A and have high expectations, but this is one of the only DDs i've run into an issue like consistently. Another example: When i first moved here i asked for a "coffee regular" (1 cream, 2 sugars). I soon learned that my ethnocentricity failed here and that it would garner me a black coffee. Then i started specifying what i wanted in my coffee. Well, one day i came with my mother (Visiting from CT) and asked for an extra large hot tea, light with three sugars. I was made to repeat my order THREE (3!) times. When i received the tea at the drive thru window there was clearly no cream in the tea. I gave it back, and told them to add cream so it was "light" and to add three sugars. The man took it back and a few minutes later, gave it back. When we got home my mom found that she indeed had an extra large tea... black with lemon. *face palm* Dude, if you didn't know what "light" meant I wish you would have at least told me I'm not making sense so i could clarify! Back to Saturday: Ok, worst case scenerio.. they were training someone that day and that person messed everything up. Why the heck would you train someone on a weekend morning when you should be expecting a lot of business? I don't know... I'm over this location. I've had MUCH better luck at the 23rd st. DD. After visiting this location several times & being disappointed every time I thought I should write a review. The service is slooooow & the workers are not very friendly. The food is usually lukewarm and bland. They stopped accepting the loyalty cards they handed out. There isn't an expiration date. Even if you have a coupon they grumble about using it when this location sent them out. The only good thing I can say is they have good coffee. read more

One of the quickest drive thrus in town! Great customer service. Recently, after a hectic morning, I stopped in to just grab a black coffee. I got to the window and realized I had left my debit card at home with no cash. They were kind enough to give me the much needed $2 coffee and the following day I went back and left a large tip.
