Was invited to a breakfast. The order consisted of Chicken sandwich with fries and Mocha and Peach Danish. The service was awesome and staff was pleasant. The ambiance was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend. P.S. they have two locations. can't wait to go back ASAP! Amazing Food

Mortadella sandwich

Location: Downtown Lawrence, big place. Ambiance: it is a nice place. Several tables. Outdoor options, too. Food: Pastries are delicious. Raspberry Danish was soft, and the cream was spot on. Mortadella sandwich was ok. It reminded me of portuguese/Brazilian style. Coffee: Was ok. Service: quick. You order at the frontdesk This a nice coffee place if you want a different option other than Starbucks. Please do come for the pastries

On a hunt to find a coffee shop and some wifi, we stumbled upon 1900 Barker on Mass. Recently opened, yet packed, we realized this was the second location of another coffee shop in Lawrence. We got waters, coffee, and a chocolate croissant. I tried the latte, and I was not a fan. Could have been the coffee, could have been me. I couldn't tell ya. I'm not a coffee connoisseur. The chocolate croissant on the other hand was perfect. Huge, fluffy and flaky, buttery and chocolaty. Service was quick and efficient. It was also a help yourself to free water kinda situation. The location was clean, the bathrooms were great, and the decor was industrial and trendy. It definitely fit the vibe of a well-loved coffee shop, with friends chatting, people working on laptops, and others casually reading. Super great place!

One of my favorite cafes in town. I have not ordered a dish from here that I did not enjoy. Their pasties are a must. I gave it four star because of their wifi policy. Was pretty surprised to find out they turn off their wifi at 1030am.

The coffee was pretty good, but the service was not friendly. It felt like I was an inconvenience for asking about the pastries.

One of the best coffee shops in town. Breakfast burrito is a must have! Go early though as supplies don't always last too long!

Full disclosure I came here with a lot of uncertainty. There's a TON of coffee shops in Lawrence…read moreand they all aren't created equal. I took a meeting here and the person I was meeting with gave me a few local options. This was the place I hadn't been yet so I thought I'd go a bit out of my comfort zone and try a new spot. Something I was nervous about from the photos on Yelp was if there would be enough inside seating when I arrived for a meeting. When I pulled up, I was still a bit anxious about this as the front lot was full and I had to pull to the back to park. Once I got out of my car and walked through the cafe to the front to order my anxieties about seating had diminished. It's much larger inside than the outside appears and the photos here on Yelp don't really do the indoors justice. Yes, the outdoor seating is really cute and well shaded so I get why folks focus on it, but if you're like me and wanting to get some work done you'll find a comfortable spot here. Now onto the coffee. As I made my way into the shop I noticed one of my art school professors (we both sort of looked at each other like "do I know you?") and I moved on, but that's a good sign. The art teachers usually know where to snag a decent cup of coffee. When I ordered I tried one of their special drinks and chatted with the baristas about it before I made my choice. Extra points here because not only was the drink really, really good, but the girls working were beyond friendly and answered all of my questions. I'm not lying when I say this was one of the best cups of coffee I've had in Lawrence in some time. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Usually I absolutely love Uplift. Lately I've been obsessed with their vanilla orange iced matcha…read morelatte. So of course today I went to the drive thru on 6th to order one. When I got to the window it took a min or two for the girl to notice me. She was on her phone.. which is okay but she didn't wash her hands before starting to make my drink. Then I saw her pull down some cup out of the matcha bin and warm up with whisk with water (totally normal matcha stuff) but then she used the water to put into my matcha and I don't know why that kinda grossed me out. Maybe because it was from the matcha bin cup that's in that bin. Then the worst part was the oat milk I wanted had been sitting out and it wasn't warm but it wasn't frosty cold you know? Maybe I shouldn't watch how the sausage is made you know? But idk it just kinda gave me the yuckies and I didn't wanna drink it. Also just overall tip for Uplift, I think the matcha needs a littttke bit more matcha to milk ratio. It's a bit milk heavy. Also maybe a touch more syrup would be perfect! I'm still gonna go back because I believe in you guys. Beautiful drive thru (to get those ambiance points). But yeah I just would like a little more refined.

It was difficult to decide which I wanted. It was like an assembly line of perfect little treats. The staff was very nice and helpful. The selection seemed endless and they had drinks in cans that were delicious. I had a very difficult time choosing which I was going to try. There is a seating area in the rear of the restaurant. It was full of happy people eating pastries and chatting. It was a perfect setting. I had heard about this place for years but never ventured inside. I regret not going to this lovely place sooner. Couldn't believe it when I a friend told me this place has been in operation for years. Guess I need to venture over to Lawrence from Topeka more often! While not the case across the board, we found a number of the items we selected to be on par with the quality of treats we enjoy while visiting France. Needless to say I will be wearing out the Turnpike making return visits to this real gem.

We just finished up at Allen Fieldhouse watching the Aggies lose to KU (poor Eric R.) and his work called with an emergency so he wanted to sit somewhere, get tea, and use his laptop. I suggested we go to Mana's location. There is free wifi and several places to sit. We decided to share a pot of tea. The tea expert let me try the tea of the day, Oriental Garden oolong, which was really good to me. However, Eric R. likes green tea so we had to agree. He suggested jasmine pearls, and I agreed. We sat down, had lots of cups of delicious jasmine green tea, and got work done. There was a tv playing Japanese anime quite loudly in the background, but we tuned it out. I would come back to try other teas.
