Employees Beto, Yeseña (Jesse), and Anjou operate this shop like it's their own business. They know my drink before I order it, and they present it with a smile, always greeting me by name!! This location has been my go to for the last 6 years and there are only 2 times of the 1,500 that I have been to this location that I can honestly say they didn't deliver exactly what I wanted. I often stop here before work in the mornings to grab coffee and sometimes a bagel. The workers are very friendly and do their best to get orders out quick. Very rarely have I waited a long time for an order. The coffee is good and the flavors they offer seasonal are something everyone should try. This location was recently remodeled... and boy did it need it! Immediately upon walking in you are enveloped with a feeling of calmness, peace, and tranquility. Autumn tones blotch the walls. The aroma of coffee fills the air. I can not imagine what a morning would be like without this zen-like experience. There is one super cute guy that works there during the week. He's been there for years and knows all of his regular customer's orders. I can tell he's very smart! And that he's been working out at the gym recently! Ooooooo-la-la! This is the Dunkin located on the second floor of the Merchandise Mart (right next to McDonald's). It's the closest and most convenient location during the week if you work at theMART or the adjoining Apparel Center (Sun-Times building), even though there are also at least 3-4 nearby locations across the river. As a result, I visit this location at least twice a day; this Dunkin is definitely part of my daily routine at the office. Especially with mobile ordering, a morning or mid-afternoon coffee is just a short walk and escalator ride away, and the coffee orders are almost always correct and filled quickly. I usually place my order on the escalator or just as I'm walking into theMART, and my coffee is waiting for me on the counter when I walk up, so I can simply grab it and walk back without stopping. First thing in the morning, like everything else at theMART, this location will be really busy, with a dozen or so people waiting for their orders right outside the entrance, all morning. Even while they're so busy, orders come up quickly, you'll just have to get through the crowd, which is a reasonable price to pay for a Dunkin coffee early in the morning (and something you're used to working in this building). Dunkin is a fast food chain, so don't expect anything too extraordinary... that being said, this location is pretty reliable. The cashiers are quick in the morning, and the people making the food and coffee are always on top of their game. I appreciate that they project their voices when they call out orders because sometimes I'm still half-asleep or preoccupied on my phone. The chain apparently recently got rid of "combo" bundles that give a discount when ordering a sandwich, hash browns, and a drink, but this morning, Ernesto was kind in explaining the combo situation to me and a quick internet search revealed that Dunkin is rolling out that change across the country. The two reasons I knocked off a star: - In times past when I've visited after the peak morning rush time (after 9:30a), the cashiers are focused on restocking or cleaning or other tasks and it takes 30+ seconds for them to notice I'm there and help me when I'm the only customer in the store. - The hash brown order size was knocked from 9 to 6 pieces! Again I realize this is something most likely happening across the chain, but 6 hash browns just seems so meager! All in all, I'll continue to go back because everyone is friendly and they get my order right. read more

I'm from New York, and I ALWAYS used to go to Dunkin. That was my spot. So when they finally opened a place out here, better believe I went for a visit. Set-up is nice, has lots of outdoor seating, coffee just as I used to remember, perfect. Seeing as that I am a Dunkin Do-'nut' I am picky. I would say it's 50/50 for your order to be spot on. Also, some of the staff look like they are wishing they'd be somewhere else, they aren't quite there, which is very annoying when your trying to give your order. If you want fast coffee and donuts this is the place to go!! Even if there is a line out the door, by the time I reach in my purse and find my wallet I am already being waited on. They recently renovated it, and it's nice that they put the cash registers in different locations so people are not falling over eachother. Each cash register has 2 people working at it...one to take your order and cash and the other to get your coffee/muffin. It's a very smooth process and the employees are really friendly. I'm a Dunkin' fan, but this place used to drive me crazy. It seemed really badly laid out and the staff were tripping over each other (literally in some cases). However they've just remodeled and it's a huge improvement. Even at the peak of the morning rush they get through the line very quickly and now, joy upon joy, they get my order right every time. By far, one of the worst DD/places ever. I've been working in the Mart for over 2 years and will periodically frequent this DD. Every single time I go I vow never to return. And this time I mean it. The employees YELL all the time. They yell at customers, they yell at each other, I think the yell just for the heck of it. It's Dunkin Donuts at 9:30am people, not Dick's Last Resort. Chill out. This is a Great Location, because I work directly across the street. BUT!!!! As good as the service is at this location most of the time I believe the team their needs to pay closer attention to the lines and who is next. A young lady told me I wasn't in the line once and took the person behind me WTF!!!! I have such bad experiences with the staff at this location. I only have gone back more than once because I work in Merchandise Mart and they are in the building. It is always with Apple Pay or when I run my credit card. One could argue it is the machines, but the nonchalant attitude of the staff when it comes to payments only further turns me off. read more

The short female manager here is atrocious and absolutely unprofessional, how the heck did she get this job? Every time I've been in this location she's barking at one employee or another right in front of all the customers; maybe she doesn't realize she's not working at the pound (and those people don't even yell/speak to the animals that way). I dread going in there, the only reason I do is because my boss likes the ice tea from there, so when it's my turn for the caffeine run I have no choice. Everyone is friendly however everyone makes things differently. My coffee and breakfast are always a hit or miss. Some days my coffee is perfect, some days it's just all cream, or just not even the correct flavor.
