I have no idea why there are so many complaints regarding service however I have only walked in during the weekday mornings. I am always greeted by a nice cashier and are extremely courteous. My order takes a few minutes and coffee is pretty hot. One time I was there a man through his coffee on the ground, not sure if by accident or on purpose, however when I informed the staff, they made another one, took it outside and handed it to the man. I'm not too sure how many businesses would do this. Well back to my food experience, the coffee is hot, my wake up wrap is still warm by the time i make it to work, and guess what?- they carry lemon donuts- SCORE! I usually crave lemon donuts and apparently its like being in a scavenger hunt trying to locate one. read more

Was glad to see a 24-hour DD, but the place was pretty dirty. (Bathroom really needed a cleaning, too.) Staff was a bit rude. Paid street parking only. Purchase required for bathroom use, and they will definitely enforce this! I told the woman I was planning to get a coffee, and she made me pay for it before she'd buzz me into the (dirty) bathroom. This Dunkin' is my favorite to frequent. I appreciate how the staff is friendly, attentive, and super epic. The coffee served is consistently delicious, I can count on my usual order (medium iced coffee, one cream + caramel swirl) also being consistent. Which is surprising because Dunkin' is notoriously like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get. Hands down the best Dunkin' in Downtown Chicago, and I would know. The staff members are always extremely friendly and the entire store has a feel good vibe. "The Big Fella" (not sure his name but you'll know when you go) needs a pay raise or a big plaque on the wall because he is consistently whipping up the best coffee at record speeds. This Dunkin Donuts is, truly, on the corner of Chicago and Cray Cray. The clientele can be from the nearby YMCA, students from Loyola University, nurses & doctors, lawyers, CPD officers, the homeless - you name it. Loud and colorful characters, and yes, sometimes some not so colorful customers. But this staff is one of a kind. They treat everyone equally and have a necessary humor/thick skin that an employee needs to have, especially at this location. Always busy, day or night. Sometimes there's a wait, especially during the morning rush, but that's to be expected. As well, some might think only the homeless here might be unpleasant. Honestly? More often than not, not the case at all. In fact, I've seen more suits come in here and just act so nastily to the staff, more than any homeless person. I go here all of the time and the staff is very friendly and recognize my face. Today I went in at lunch time and they didn't have decaf coffee. I am always disappointed when coffee shops don't have coffee made and ready. That is there purpose - to sell coffee. They asked me if I wanted regular and I declined and left. While a group of my friends and I were buying a homeless women coffee, in our dresses from having gone out to dinner; the MANAGER sat at a table in the corner and took PICTURES of us on his phone. The fact that a manager of a store thinks this is okay while we were trying to help someone in need is APPALLING. A group of girls should be able to dress up and go out to dinner without having to worry about middle aged men taking pictures of us. The employees there are very rude. I wanted decaf coffee and they insisted they don't have decaf. Thought that was a standard. The guy yelled at me as well. I won't go back. I come here often the couple in front of me were being taken care of I stepped up to what seemed to be the "second register" to be told "THERE'S ONLY ONE REGISTER" my mistake for thinking there was a second cashier but there was absolutely no need to yell at me. Then the girl who was attending the couple comes back(nice btw had orange hair) took my order and charged me! So there never was "ONLY ONE REGISTER " never coming here again! Absolutely the most horrible service I've ever had at a Dunkin Donuts. This is not the first time I've been here or had a bad experience, but I have just had enough with the service. This location is the closest one to my school campus so my options are unfortunately very limited. The staff is argumentative and rude. The employee taking my order, this last time misunderstood me and thought I had said to add whipped cream to my iced coffee. She argued with me and said I asked for that she I told her it was wrong. Not only is this is my daily order that I never change, but I don't even eat whipped cream so I know I didn't ask for it. I let the argument slide, I went back to order something I had forgotten to get and when taking my order AND calling me up to give it to me this employee used the rudest of rude tones and also just shoved the food my way.
