Came to the famous Stan's Donuts here in Chicago. This is an adorable, and pink restaurant that is fun and lively with an amazing selection of donuts and coffee. The donuts are so appetizing to look at and even better to eat! I wish they had more "filled" options, but I can't complain, they were still delicious. The coffee was fantastic. This is far superior to dunkin and krispy kreme. If you are in Chicago, get over here.

Randomly stumbled upon this place while visiting Chicago and noticed how many people were sitting inside and the donuts caught my eye immediately! So I'm usually not a "donut" girl but there was something about all the pink in there that made me curious to go inside. Unsure of what to order, I was suggested by the guy working at the counter to try their signature donut which was a sugar glaze layered croissant donut stuffed with cream cheese icing. WOW...first bite and the cream cheese icing bursts in my mouth! Sugar spilled all over my clothes but that didn't stop me from eating this AMAZING donut. Now I can see why this place is packed!

I've been thinking about doughnuts lately; it has been a while since I had a good one. You know, a good yeast doughnut that is thick, tender, and toothsome. So that was probably why I was telling my sister I wanted a Chicago doughnut on our way to Riverwalk. And as if conjured up by my longings, Stan's Donuts appeared as we turned the corner. A line was already forming as we entered. While I wanted to sample many of the gems in the glass case (fritters, jelly, chocolate-covered), I knew we were having deep-dish pizza for lunch and did not want to be too full. In the end, I went with the cruffin and the PB&J. I enjoyed my little treat by one of the large windows, in one of the cute PINK leather armchairs. I loved the decor here, especially the PINK seating throughout the space. The cruffin, a porte-manteau for a doughnut made of laminated dough and baked in a muffin tin, was fresh and flaky. I liked the vanilla pastry cream piped throughout and the crunchy cinnamon sugar topping. Mindful of lunch, I only had half of the cruffin and decided to save the other doughnut for breakfast the next day. Service was slower than I would have liked. I can never understand why people can't decide while in line and instead hold everyone else up.

This was my first visit to Stan's. I was walking around and passed multiple Stan's locations. I popped in and ordered a vanilla glazed cruller and a hot tea at the North Rush Street location. Employees were friendly, restaurant was clean and I received my order fast. Absolutely no complaints! Definitely worth the visit. Hopefully all locations are this good.

We came on a very busy Sunday morning with a very long line and the staff rocked it! They were hustling and moving the line so quickly. The donuts were absolutely delightful - tasted so fresh! The cold brew was perfect. We also got two breakfast sandwiches, both tasty! Above all the staff was friendly and handled the business so well. Huge shout out to them at the Rush Street location!

We've been to several Stan's (mostly this location) and have always had a good experience. They offer a large variety of donuts (and drinks) to choose from that are always delicious. Plenty of seating, clean (as much as they can be during a rush) & cute interior. The gentleman at the counter was kind, smiley and helpful. Want to try some other donut shops in Chicago, but always get drawn back to Stan's... for good reason! 'Til next time... :)

We knew we needed to stop here. So glad we did. I had an apple fritter and a maple long John (unfilled). My lovely had a croissant and vegan chocolate covered donut. All were so darned good. My apple fritter was super fresh. It wasn't laden with a sugar glaze, which is a good thing. When my lovely saw my long John was unfilled, I had to give it up. So good. So sad to not be able to have it all. Her croissant was perfect. Nicely eggy and buttery. The vegan donut was really good, too. She had a hot tea and I had a chai. Both good.

3.5 stars rounding up I saw plenty of people walking around with Stan's Donut & Coffee so felt it might be at least be a local chain shop so decided to check it out Pretty busy and there was a line but it moved quickly , shop has plentyyyy of sugary items haha I opt for LeStan Crossiant Donut since it was a popular item and also a "cronut" hehe It was pretty good , covered in white sugar and not overly sweet....until you reach the center where there is custard , haha! And afterwards I tried to do what I can, but in the end it did become too sweet for me Iced Cinnamon Matcha Latte - seasonal beverage and it was good, not super sweet but later on , I peeked at the bottom and it was covered with sugar particles l o l Will want to come back next time but try completely different items

Great donut and coffee, nice atmosphere. Friendly service. The wide selection made choosing difficult. I will definitely come back.

Love this Stan's location, plenty of seating available. Their croissant donuts are a must and their oat milk latte is also great!

The donuts at Stan's are amazing! I got the chocolate glazed cake flavored donut. They also have coffee and "stanwichs" and a variety of breakfast dishes. Service was quick but the workers could have been a bit more polite. There was a ~5 minute wait but only 2 people were in line. I would love to come back to try the carrot cake donut! I know these aren't cheap but you get a really good donut opposed to the major chain. I really like these and think it's worth the premium.

This location is not what is used to be and has gone downhill in recent years. The staff they hire have gone downhill. Certainly not on par with the prices they charge, nor for the pretentious experience they are trying to create. Today 5/17/26, I ordered 4 items to-go at the Cafe Lavazza station on the first floor: three food items and a drink. I got home, and realized one of my items was missing. My immediate thought was the cashier did not bag my 4th food item. I was also open to the idea that maybe she never even rang the 4th item up but since they did not give me a receipt I wasn't sure. I only had my bank charge amount. So, around 12p, I called and asked for a manager. An AA female manager got on the phone and right away gave the lazy vibe that she was irritated, and bothered that she had to help a customer. I explained that I was missing an item but wasn't sure since I was not handed a receipt. I further explained that I was open to the fact that maybe it was never rang up, and that I was hoping she could check my receipt to tell me either way. She finally found my receipt, in an annoyed manner told me the 4th item was never rung up, THEN hung the phone up on me. I was shocked - but not really because as I mentioned, Eataly's recent hires have gone downhill. I was disappointed to experience a "manager" behave this way. This sorry excuse for a manager is the reason I will never frequent that station again. Eataly do better and please hire intelligent, capabable, and helpful managers in the future. And get rid of that one.

It was early Sunday afternoon, and we were too large a group to arrive without calling ahead. You walk up a lovely old half-flight of stairs under an ornate ceiling. After a short wait, half of our party went elsewhere, and the remaining four of us were quickly seated. The front area is mainly a café, with maybe 10 seats at tables for two. Farther back is a hallway and a larger room with seating in booths and at high-tops for maybe 40, and maybe 6 more at a small bar. The staff is quick and friendly. The food is delicious and fresh and hot! And the music is loud and festive :-) We had the thin-cut savory palomillo steak, a generous serving, pounded to tenderness, served with classic wet black-beans and white rice, sweet soft platanos maduros plantain pieces, and some greens and tomato. We had a lovely colorful medium-sized Mojo Shrimp in tart garlic citrus mojo sauce, with sateed red onion crescents, tomato chunks, and parsley. And we had the huge slow-cooked tender shredded-beef Ropa Vieja pressed sandwich, sauced lightly with slightly-tangy creole sauce, served with platanos maduros and black beans.
