7:12am got that early morning coffee you need
Linda J.

Came in for some early morning coffee. I love the way this location looks, it's Very clean. The service here was good. I did not like my coffee this morning though. 4 shots of hazelnut is not good. I won't male that mistake again

Yes, please for coffee. No donut today. I was feeling like a caffeine boost would help and my coffee this morning did exactly that. Breakfast sandwiches, melty things with cheese and bacon or ham or sausage. Donuts. Bagels. Muffins. Yep, it's a Dunkies. Service could have been quicker but the coffee was good and hot. This location does not have a drive through. [Review 16682 overall - 3188 in North Carolina - 194 of 2022.]

Turkey sausage and egg breakfast sandwich with egg and sausage cut in half to make 2 sandwiches!
Lena F.

Hello, I just returned home from ordering breakfast at the Dunkin' Donuts location off of 16131 Lancaster Highway in Charlotte. We ordered 3 breakfast sandwiches. All 3 sandwiches had half of an egg. 2 of the sandwiches had half a piece of turkey sausage. They apparently cut the turkey sausage in half to make 2 sandwiches! We were extremely shocked and disappointed when we got home to eat breakfast. Is this new? We have never had half ingredients from a breakfast sandwich at any Dunkin' Donuts locations. This location is apparently cutting corners and saving themselves money by giving half meat and eggs for sandwiches. Terrible...We tried to call the location but the phone keeps ringing and going to a fax machine. Sent an email as well. WOW! Will not go back to this location. And the food was not good. Bad experience.

Store owner David Knight picks up several dozen donuts to deliver to the Ballantyne PD for 9/11 National Day of Remembrance.

As the effects of Hurricane Florence began to fade from the Charlotte area, the Dunkin Donuts stores in Ballantyne and Tega Cay partnered with Bank of America on its 9/11 National Day of Service initiative. The National Day of Service was established to honor the victims and heroes of 9/11 and to rekindle the spirit of unity and compassion that followed the attacks. Over the past days, first responders have been busy helping the community deal with the flooding and wind damage dealt by Florence. On Tuesday, store owner David Knight and store manager Christina Evans wanted to honor those involved in keeping our communities safe and provided donuts for the police station in Ballantyne and to two fire departments in Tega Cay. "If felt great to participate in this wonderful event honoring our first responders," Knight said. "This also felt so timely after the impacts of Florence, first responders, we salute you!" This furthers the commitment Knight and Evans established for their two Dunkin Donuts' franchises in giving back to the Ballantyne and Tega Cay communities.

Every time I've ever been in here this place has been really busy. Most of the time when I'm here it's for morning coffee. In my opinion, DD has some of the coffee out there, bar none! I love their coffee and the donuts! I always try to stay clear of the fattening donuts and sandwiches but I can't resist the coffee (cream and sugar)!

Only go to this location if you want to be thoroughly disappointed. They run out of just about everything very early.

She got their garlic bagel--the only type of bagel they offer - and it was generously stuffed with delicious, aromatic garlic. She enjoyed it! The café is decorated charmingly, with little Madeleine cookie designs stamped throughout the space. They have a small section with some gift items for sale. They also sell Madeleine cookies, of course, though we didn't get any. The service was given with genuine smiles. The prices were normal - not a deal but not over-the-top. Good amount of seating inside (mostly 2-seaters; one larger table reserved for bigger groups). Helpful and friendly staff who were amazing with my little one. You have to try a slice of the basque cheesecake. The plain slice (with no whipped cream or fruit topping) is not overly sweet and the perfect amount of "burnt" & creamy. We also tried the madeleines, which - as the café's name suggests - were on point. And the garlic bagel is a garlic + cream cheese lover's dream. The iced dalgona latte was such a treat. Sweet with a creamy foam and topped with crunchy cookies - very well balanced and delightful to drink. The prices reflect the care and high quality of the products. Oh my goodness, this was the cutest little ice cream parlor!…read more I was visiting Charlotte for my birthday weekend, and we were staying right across the street at the Marriott, so of course we had to stop by for dessert after dinner--and they did not disappoint! The atmosphere was adorable, the perfect little spot for a sweet treat, and such a fun addition to our birthday weekend. If you're in Charlotte, definitely check them out! You won't be disappointed.

It was our first time visiting Charlotte, and after seeing that the shop was open until 11:00 p.m., we figured it would be the perfect way to end the evening. We arrived just a few minutes before closing, but since we only planned to order a couple of scoops of gelato, we expected to be in and out quickly. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the moment we walked in. Rather than greeting us or welcoming us, the employee immediately said, "Hey guys, by the way, we close in two minutes." There was no hello or friendly interaction. As we ordered, one member of our party asked to sample a couple of flavors, and the employee seemed visibly inconvenienced. When I asked if they had caramel drizzle, her response was simply, "No," with no warmth or attempt to offer an alternative. I completely understand that arriving close to closing can be frustrating for employees, and we were mindful of the time. However, the doors were still open, the posted business hours indicated the shop was open until 11:00 p.m., and we were respectful customers who knew what we wanted and intended to order quickly. What was most disappointing wasn't that they were closing soon--it was how unwelcome we were made to feel. As first-time visitors to Charlotte and Ballantyne, this wasn't the hospitality we expected. Customer service matters just as much during the last few minutes of business as it does throughout the rest of the day. I hope this feedback is taken as an opportunity to remind staff that every customer deserves to feel welcomed, regardless of when they walk through the door during posted business hours.
