This post office is staffed by the laziest, most ignorant and hostile group of women within 100 miles of Baltimore. All I needed was a change of address for my family. Went there, told the woman at the desk what I needed...immediately she sucked her teeth and gave a "tsk" sound as if I were bothering her otherwise peaceful shift. She looked at me out of the side of her eye and said in a condescending way that I could do it online. Told her I was in the neighborhood and liked to do things in person, which caused her to reward me with the same look I have seen others give an idiot, and with a bit of a sneer she gave me the change of address card and returned her attention to her cell phone. Was already pissed by this point, but I kept my cool and filled out the card right there, then walked back up to the desk to give it to her. She took the card from me and said to expect something through the mail confirming the change of address, then again returned her attention to her cell phone, dismissing me without any courtesy. Not that I actually expected any courtesy...that would require decency and a bit more genuine personality than a blighted turnip. I left there with serious concerns about my change of address, and those fears were realized when 3 weeks later I still had not received a single piece of mail at our new address. I was not confidant that I could keep my cool during a repeat visit to inquire about the COA that I had submitted, but luckily my wife volunteered to go to the post office in my place, and I happily agreed. My wife is a ray of sunshine who is so sweet that I have seen her make the meanest of people smile and be happy. Well, afterwards she was so angry that she had to pray to Jesus Christ for an hour to remove the anger from her heart before she could even talk to me about it. 5 days later and I still don't know what exactly happened, because when she talks and thinks about it she still gets so angry that her words lose all sense and order...a thing completely out of her character. The gist is that she was told that no COA was submitted - which means that they filed it in the garbage can - and that for whatever reason she would have to submit another but not until she came in with ID's for every member of the household and other proofs which is the first in my experience having moved multiple times over the last 40+ years. So no, I would not advise anyone to attempt to use this particular post office for any reason other than you wish to experience first hand the angst and futility of people who have taken it upon themselves to use their position to spread their very own brand of misery to the rest of the world as they emerge from whatever dark hole births them with the falling and rising of the sun. Normally I would say that some new/existing upper management should bring in some fresh blood with fresh attitudes to attempt to turn the place around, discarding the current staff and their misery to seek new careers in any field that does not involve public relations. But having been witness to the levels of scorn these people actually show to the public, I would rather suggest they close this location, demolish the building, bring in a catholic priest to exorcise the land of any surviving evil spirits so that they not continue to plague the surrounding community, and build a garden...but I still don't think anything would grow there. This post office has the nastiest people in the world working there. They are rude, disrespectful, condescending, arrogant, belligerent, and they don't even know the rules and laws regarding the post office. If you ask them a question, they get angry, if you ask them more than one question they explode in anger. The equipment at the teller windows never works properly, the line is a mile long and slow, the lobby is dirty and disorganized and messy, and it smells moldy. Out side there are drug addicts begging for money and adding to the trash that's all over the ground. There are on 5 customer parking spaces and the postal trucks often park in them. And the postal trucks speed all around town and run red lights and stop signs. Something is very wrong there. There have been protests by concerned citizens and even elected officials have spoken in public at the protests about the problems there. I started recording everything when I go there and some of the tellers went ballistic when they realized I caught their atrocious behavior on video. Should be no star they are back to completely messing peoples mail up, please contact your congressman in this area to file a complaint again this post office is not delivering mail again and when I did get mail a month ago it had 3 other addresses mixed in with my mail. My wife's government w2 was mailed out twice and never received them twice, they were in inform mail both times and she never received them twice. This office is so incompetent they cannot run this office at all. They are by far, the rudest human beings I've ever encountered in my entire life. After five or six bad experiences with their attitudes, I now drive to the post office on Eastern avenue near Dundalk avenue when I have a need. I wouldn't normally post a review for PO, but it seems this one has unduly poor reviews, so many based on factors likely out of the control of this office. I probably go to this PO 3-4 times a year, and I have never had a bad experience in over 15 years. Service is reasonably quick, competent, and friendly enough. Even though Covid is over, I'm back to not receiving my mail & or packages in a timely manner!! I have informed delivery app (mail scanned in daily & shows when packages will arrive). I wish I could have a negative stars option. Our service is out of Dundalk. For several years, dating to WAYYY before covid, we simply do not get mail delivery on weeks our carrier is on vacation. I run a business out of my home and typically get 25-50 pieces of mail daily. When my carrier is on vacation, I get nothing. Not even junk mail. They day her gets back, 200-250 pieces of mail on that day is common. The postmaster, when challenged on this , responds simply "some days mail is higher volumes than others" Yeah, right. Horrid service. Mail delivery used to be good; however, since the last administration the delivery has tanked. More often than not the postal workers do not open up my door to deliver the mail, they just wrap it up in a rubber band and throw it on the porch stoop outside in the weather. Would give them zero stars if I could because an employee cut a 1.5 inch slit into the side of the bubble wrap envelope to steal 3 super Mario wonderball coins. I wish I could have seen their face when they saw it was not real money. Those thieves should not have hands on anything! I have been in the area for over a month. I have not received mail in almost a week. Like every day of the week- No mail. I have called several times and even spoke to the Manager. I was told my mail gets sent to Virginia? Why? I moved over a month. I have gotten my neighbors mail but not of mine. When I do call, I am just given some excuse. I was recently told it would take 6-8 weeks to get my mail, I find that hard to believe since my mail has been mixed with my neighbors. I had a letter on my doorstep first week of December. I wish i could give 0 stars. Even before covid this post office had been terrible. Customer service sucks. All of the workers act like you're getting on their nerves when you come in looking for misplaced packages or mail. I ordered things and still have not received my money back or my package that last states it was received at this post office and out for delivery. But never delivered. Now mail is taking months to receive things. My son had an important drs appointment to go to that we had to miss because we didn't get the paper work in time. It was supposed to be delivered on November 3rd. I'm just receiving it Dec 22. Hire more people if you are so understaffed. You should never have to wait almost two months to get mail. On the past 2 Monday's ( November 26th and December 3rd ) there was no mail delivery on the end of Wise Ave. where I live. I put mail out and put the flag up on my mailbox on Sunday night both weeks. 8 am on Tuesday, both weeks ,the mail was still in the mailbox and the flag was still up. My mailbox sits right on Wise Ave. There's no way the mail carrier would have missed it if they came anywhere near it. It's a mailbox that you drive up to. The mail delivery in Dundalk is a disaster. Sooo, tired of the service and it's not just me. Father has no idea where his retirement checks are, sister and neighbors are always swapping mail, we are constantly getting someone else's mail and when the mail actually gets to our house it's half hanging out of the box or laying on the ground below it. The mail gets to the house around 6pm when it use to be 1:00pm or 2:00pm in the afternoon. The USPS can get rid of half it's managers and put more, long term, carriers on the routes.
