I take back my positive review. Honestly, honestly, every time I go to this post office it's like fighting for my life. I came here the other day to mail my mom a package who lives in Korea. First of all the woman told me I needed to label my box when in fact, I didn't need to because I had a customs form. She also assumed Korea meant NORTH KOREA -- in what world can you mail something to a closed communist country? So I got out of the line and then had to start over with a new attendant who yelled at me because I asked her if she knew which of the options had tracking. She said she didn't know, which appalled me. Anyway the two women who work there are so rude, they act like they hate their lives. Nailing something globally - 2 pounds for express cost $88. I'm going to a private mailer next time. You try to support govt workers and this is what you get. This is also the only post office that takes an hour lunch break and is closed from 2-3. Sadly, it's a very, very close post office to me and doing QR code returns is easy but mailing something outside America. I'm not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from. This post office is well staffed, efficient, and well situated for people, living in this area of town. Parking isn't great, but if you're living in the city, you're used to that. Honestly, you're better off walking here if possible, or taking rideshare. If you have to drive your own car, you may get lucky and find parking on Wolfe Street but if not, there are plenty of side roads to search for a parking spot. they have essentially every service you would expect from any other post office, location; there's never been anything I wanted to do that they could not do. read more

I stopped in to this US Post Office today while visiting Baltimore. I needed to mail several post cards and a few cards in envelopes. I walked in around 11:00am, there was no line so I walked directly up to the counter, I asked the nice lady behind the counter what stamps I needed for each item and she kindly answered all my questions, I purchased the stamps I needed and walked over to a table where I was able to secure each stamp to each item to be mailed. I found this US Post office to be clean, the lady I dealt with was professional and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. During peak seasonal mail times (like Christmas) they really could use additional some staff. The lines can be long. That being said~ I will say that I've always been treated well by the postal workers at this location. They really do their best to be both polite and helpful. I have been to many post offices and this is by far the worst I have ever seen. I spent over 40 minutes waiting (I am actually writing this review as I wait in line, with 15 other people in front of me). Currently, There is only one USPS worker attending and for a busy Saturday morning, you would think that they would have more people working, especially when the line is out the door...this has completely ruined my plans for the day and I didn't expect that it would take this long to send off a package. For one minute, we had the luxury of having two people working at the front but to my surprise, the employee decided to put up her "next station please" sign and left. The employees here simply don't know what they're doing, and seem to take their sweet time answering any question you may have. I felt like time slowed down substantially waiting here and am very disappointed by the inefficient system that is in place here. Expect to wait at least an hour if you come here on a Saturday. And expect to be standing for long periods at a time with crying children around you. Would highly suggest bringing a book and some headphones to pass the time as this is the only USPS office open Saturday in the fells/downtown Baltimore area. read more

Well. I don't particularly like coming here if I don't have to. I like the location because it is in my neighborhood and you can go for a walk around fells point along the water afterwards because you'll probably need it. If you are lucky, you come when it's empty. Or you should expect to spend a bit of time there. I also don't particularly like the service because I always feel rushed and the employees definitely don't act like they want to be there. I don't blame them but it doesn't help the experience. Dude I get it, the Post Office is something to avoid. You have to deal with lines, and like any shipping place, the price you pay at the end seems really expensive (compared to slapping a stamp on an envelope anyway). That said - my recent experiences with USPS and other shipping stores have me really appreciating anyone who does anything to make my experience a little less stressful. Today I swung in to mail a watch I need sent back for warranty work. It's an expensive watch, so it needed packaging and insurance. Speed didn't matter. It took me some time to navigate the options, and while a bit confusing directions were given at first, the staff was really patient, and in between helping the line of customers cycling through, were able to get me to the correct box. Between me being dense, and there really be a consistent flow of customers, that was a bit of a challenge. read more

I come to this post office a lot. Sometimes I luck out and don't have to wait in a line, other times I've had to wait a max of 20 minutes (really not bad in the scheme of post office wait times). Pros: Location, cute outer architecture, predictability, the employees, not having my packages stolen from my stoop #bless Cons: Whiney customers who expect me to agree with them when they're griping about how bad the service is. Y'all, this is a bureaucracy, not a Starbucks. Pro Tips: 1. If you are nice to the women who work there, they'll be nice back. They don't come to work to receive verbal abuse, and they won't get fired for dishing back whatever nonsense you decide to serve up. Remember that they have lives too. This is a federal office, not a Starbucks. 2. There are strict rules, and as civil servants USPS employees are legally obligated to tell you about all of the shipping options that might apply to you (yes, even if you already know what you want. So just don't interrupt, and it will go by a lot faster) 3. Priority shipping supplies are free online. If you don't want to wait in a line to ship something of a reasonable size, just do that and drop it in a mailbox. 4. If you don't want to wait in line for 20 minutes to ship your package, you can go to my old post office in Penn North. If the sickly fluorescent lighting and bulletproof glass don't make you grateful for the Wolfe St. office, then maybe a few minutes in another neighborhood will give you some perspective on whether or not your problems are worth complaining about. read more

worst ever customer service, they even make fun of you!! thats how bad it is over there, I swear although it is cheaper, but forget your manners, just go in mean and nasty and get what you want, do not expect to be treated well at all. I'm not of a fan of going to the Post Office outside of early morning hours. Lines are long and it seems to take forever. However, I have had nothing but positive experiences at this location each time I've been (morning and afternoon) Yes, there are times when there is a line; however, I don't hesitate to wait in it. The line always moves quickly. I will note that the employees working the deal take time with each customer and don't rush them, which is think is a wonderful thing. Today ranks among my most positive, stress free experiences at a post office thus far. Made it to this particular post office very close to closing time (they close at 1pm on Saturdays). The women behind the desk were polite and patient with the line of last-minute patrons coming through, advising those of us who were still trying to figure out packaging options. They seemed very efficient and the line moved quickly. In addition, the woman who rang me up was very pleasant and sent me off with a kind smile and "you have a nice day, dear." This is my new favorite place to prepare and send mail! It's a gigantic building which lends itself to serving lots and lots of customers, and it also doubles as a p.o. box location. I was impressed with the quick service and the staff, who happily answered any questions I threw out. The parking lot isn't incredibly large, but you should always find a spot. I know this might sound silly, but this is a really aesthetically pleasing Post Office. From the outside it looks all quaint and old timey...and then on the inside it's all clean, sleek and modern. It's not all rundown like every single post office in New York. I never had to spend more than 10 or 15 minutes in line here. The only real problem I have with it is that you get typical USPS customer service here. I've gotten slips telling me that I had a package waiting for me here, I'd come down, wait in line, and then be told that my package was actually at a different post office somewhere else in the city. Last Saturday, I got to this post office at 9 AM (because that's when it opens and I suspected I would be the first one there -- I was wrong) and waited in line to buy some stamps. The line did not move because there was no one at the counter. At 9:10 AM, the line moved. One of the staff came out of hiding and asked the first person in line to enter through the door to the left labeled "Conference". I'm sure they were definitely having some kind of conference because they were still chatting away in there at 9:30 AM. At this time, the line moved again. Two ladies waiting in front of me decided that it was no longer wise for them invest any more time in line. At 9:40 AM, another staff came out of hiding. I was finally able buy my stamps at 9:45 AM. This was a great way to start my Saturday morning, getting the blood flowing through my knees. Oh, by the way, I never saw anyone come out from the "Conference" door by the time I left. read more

SUMMARY: Bring a book. FULL STORY: If you have some clothes or a hairdo that are 10 years out of date... I recommend coming to this post office. Because by the time you walk out, THEY WILL BE BACK. IN. STYLE. I was the second person in line... with three employees working... on a weekday afternoon... this should have been easy. It took almost 30 minutes to send 1 document out in a Priority mail envelope. The interaction included being questioned on what/where Lebanon is. It also included one employee closing her station because it was time for her to leave..... mid transaction. mmm-kay. They have a small selection of cards and mailers.... and it's in a convenient location if you live in Fells I guess? Note: If you're feeling sad about spending an hour in a dimly-lit and inefficient post office... take a stroll by the water and maybe stop by Pitango nearby for coffee. Great location, nice building, and that's about all that can be said for it. The only place I can think of where lines move so slowly is the MVA, and I think it's probably worse here. First, there is no parking lot here, that reviewer was probably thinking of the post office on Fayette st., which is where you should go before testing your patience in this place. Yes, it is pretty and clean. There is nowhere to park on Ann street so be prepared to risk a ticket if you're driving. The employees here aren't outwardly hostile...they've never spit on me. But I wouldn't say that they are nice. But worse than their poor attitude and service is that they are so slow. I am writing this review while standing in line. This is pretty typical though. I requested to have my package redelivered on Mar. 14, 2015. This post office didn't even make a delivery attempt. When I called today, I was put on hold for a total of 15 minutes. I had to hang up and call back four times to even ask why a delivery attempt wasn't even made. When I requested to have my package delivered again as soon as possible, I was berated at by a woman named Kim that she "Couldn't pick the date for me." Obviously ASAP means today if possible, tomorrow if not. Terrible, terrible service. I just want what I paid for and now I'm not even sure if it's going to be redelivered.
