Okay, it's the post office, and it's nobody's fault that works there that this place has issues. We know the government is trying to run the entire organization into the ground. That being said, I went in there to do nothing more than drop off a package that already had postage. No bin anywhere to do something like that, so I had to wait for eight people. Man, some of these people, this may have been the first time that they ever went to a post office in their entire lives. Actually, stood behind a guy that was asking to track a package, and he had no tracking number. He had no receipt. He was just like, "Well, man, I sent it through here. Do you think you could track it?" Like, wow. That being said, the clearly overworked guy behind the counter was nice. He was going as quickly as he could, trying to read people's minds. I don't envy his job, but at least somebody's doing it so that our mail is moving around. read more

I'm actually appalled. Like, walk out laughing in disbelief kind of appalled. There were 3 people in front of me, waited 25 minutes for the first to be greeted. He actually never was greeted, someone just appeared from the back looking like this innocent man shit in her cheerios. I get it if you've had a bad day, but don't treat everyone else so badly. She was unwilling to help anyone. I needed help sending out my package and she refused to help me cover the previous barcode (usually USPS will just cover will a new one). She hated her job and hated everyone who went into that USPS. I walked out because there was no way I was trusting any of the employees working to send my package. AVOID THIS HELL HOLE. read more

Showed up at 12:45 to ship a package. They close at 1. Handed them the package and she closed the window without even scanning it. I asked for a receipt. She said she couldn't give me a receipt and I'd need to wait for another worker. The second worker told me she could only email a receipt because they were "low on paper". I requested a paper one. She then refused, closed the window and started printing other receipts while ignoring me. Asked for the supervisor and was told they were out with COVID for 4 months. I stated I would not be leaving until I received a paper receipt. They called the police. The police came and were shocked at my situation. The police told me this post office is horrible and unfortunately they couldn't do anything. The police then suggested to just go to the post office in drug city. Another issue is the person initially took my package and didn't scan it and dismissed me without offering a receipt, what if I had purchased the wrong type of shipping or I was over weight? The woman who was extremely disrespectful refused to give me her name. The police forced her to. Her name is Ms Clark. She's younger and has a Dora the explorer hair cut. I describe her because I assume that isn't her real name. The problem with the usps is it's impossible to get fired. Even when exhibiting blatant incompetence. Both covid "stimulus packages" (our tax money) had billions of dollars going to the post office to "bail them out" and hogan even allocated tax money to them as well. The entire usps needs to be closed and Mail needs to be delivered by the private sector, and this post office is the perfect example of it. Also the actual post office was disgusting. They obviously never clean or disinfect for covid, and Mrs Clark was wearing her mask under her nose until I brought it to her attention. Needless to say, avoid this post office location. read more

I have called just to get a recording every time. I always know when packages are coming, but yet the carrier NEVER knocks and there is even a big sign on the door that states : "Knock Hard For All Packages"!! But they hardly ever knock!! This was a forest attempt to deliver today and all they did was left an almost blank slip! So how am I suppose to get a re-delivery when I can't even get any one on the phone due to it being "totally automated" and doesn't even give the option to talk to a REAL person! So how am I suppose to get my packages when they don't knock, just either not deliver it and leave a slip or leave it to be stolen. I live in Highlandtown, not so safe"ever" to leave a package. I live near this post office so i occasionally have to suffer going there if i don't have time to run down to fells point or somewhere else. To begin with, the location is terrible. Before entering you can tell that the place is not well-maintained. Upon entering, the place is bare with floors that appear to not have been cleaned in awhile. There is no improvement at the desk. A lonely rack stands in the corner of the waiting area with various greeting cards. The employees seem to be going through the motions to just get through the day. I was a bit disturbed by one of the clerks assisting two young men from El Salvador. Neither spoke English but presented her with a letter that they wanted to mail. She barked at them asking when they wanted it to arrive for the proper postage. Alarmed, they stepped back and stared at her silently. Then, without further hesitation, moved back up to the desk and pointed to the envelope for postage. She barked at the other young man, "Do YOU speak English?" He shook his head no. She let out a big sigh of disapproval, grabbed the envelope, and tossed it down. The young man handed the woman a wad of money and she took out a dollar out and rung up the postage. She gave him his change and receipt and didn't acknowledge him any further. When I got up to the desk she had an attitude of indifference. She seemed annoyed that I had questions in addition to making a transaction. I left there feeling terrible that she would likely be miserable the rest of the day and in turn make someone else's day a little less pleasant. There is another post office about a mile and a half on Highland. If you have the time, it is worth it to visit that location. The woman there is much more likeable. read more

Terrible service. On the rare occasion I have to go here it is always crowded and slow. I will say that the one teller, a middle aged white guy with blondish hair, is always friendly and helpful. I am trying to find a shipment from Amazon, which went from UPS to USPS, why I can't imagine. UPS tracking says it went to the post office, the post office tried to deliver it and left instructions. No instructions were left, and I have a locking mailbox that they could have left them in. My first call was met with a rude "the manager doesn't get in till 7". Called back after 7 and they said my carrier didn't get in till 8 and they would call me back by 8:30. At 8:45 I called back and was immediately put on hold, where I sit still. Update: After sitting on hold for 30 mins they just hung up the line. I called back and asked for a supervisor, who apparently was the one I had been dealing with, and the carrier got on the phone and said it would be delivered today. We'll see when I get home. Package was delivered. Hard to say if this was UPS or USPS fault. Head of the branch called me to respond to my complaint. read more

It is one of Dante's circles of hell. I have suffered with this post office for over 12 years, and it somehow is getting worse. If you move to this area, which I do not recommend, look forward to missed deliveries, missing deliveries, package pick up requests being ignored, being lied to, and just general massive wastes of your free time. Their hours are insanely inconvenient, and they currently enjoy "most hated service" just edging out Comcast. Yes, they are THAT abysmal. Go ANYWHERE else to mail a package. I went in to apply for a passport. The one counter person quickly took care of three before me. I said I was there for my pre set appointment and she saw I was on the schedule. This lady knew her business and got my application done rather quickly. She took my picture and rang me up. I had ALL my paperwork ready, filled out application, former passport, birth certificate, current drivers license etc. I am very happy with the professionalism I received. read more

Wow! I cannot believe the incompetency of the USPS. Especially here at Eastern Avenue. I've ordered a bunch of things off eBay over the last few weeks and a majority of the packages already over a week late, so today I tracked them... And this is no exaggeration there are several packages there right now I hoped on it end up where I'm about to tell you. 14 of my packages were there at this post office for a day or two or longer period. Get our nails sitting in Easton Maryland. I can see this happening one time to one package, yet all of these packages are for different countries cities and states how does 14 packages that were there to be locally delivered mind you end up being shipped to another post office hundreds of miles away. This is unsatisfactory oh, something needs to be done. We are certainly on the way to Hell in a Louis Vuitton. However we will be late because we're headed there USPS. If not the worst post office in the county it's gotta be close. Today I made a visit to see what happened to my package that book company said it delivered 3 days ago. So Ms Summer help says let me have your tracking code which I read to her. Three minutes later she says let ME read it off your phone. Ten minutes later she comes out to say our system and is down but you can talk to our manager. I said where? Just to your left around the corner. Ok, so I go around the corner and stand there looking at locked solid wood door for five minutes. I knock a few times and then go to see Ms Summer help again. Oh, he'll be coming she says, and a stand and knock for another five minutes. So I leave a bit pissed. Later on my wife finds a brown open Manila envelope in our mailbox with my book inside. I went to ask about a product and some guy at the teller said I was fabricating the information even though it was right there on the website. This Post Office uses slips for packages that cannot fit in your mail box that are dated 2013. Not a big deal? Well, if you take off work early to get there before 5, the listed closing time on the slip, it's a huge deal. They've decided that slips be damned, they'll close at 4:30. When I got a slip recently I thought maybe their hours changed because I've been locked out at 4:31 before, rudely and unapologetically. Sigh, same thing happened today. Now, I was able to beg and plead my way into getting my package today, but the lady was so rude, and her customer service so poor that it hardly makes up for their lack of effort to update their package slips. read more

The worst service ever. They are completely incompetent and lazy. Unfortunately, I have to deal with this post office because they handle my mail. Any time I put in a hold mail request I come home to an overflowing mailbox before the end date because they continue to deliver. They can't find my packages when I go in to pick them up and only after I refuse to leave without them and request to speak to a supervisor do they magically get found. To alleviate this, I started paying for a mailbox at another post office and put in a forwarding address card, yet some of my mail still gets forwarded to my home address, some to the other mailbox and the rest gets returned to sender. Nothing is ever done about their poor service, not even complaining to the Post Master General. Utterly ridiculous! read more
